Fairy Tail x Soul Eater

Chapter 9:

Maka instantly walks to Professor Stein after hearing what Natsu had said about Lucy teaching her good friend Crona.

"Professor Stein! May I go to Crona's headquarters?"

With a sigh, he sympathized, "Maka, I assure you Crona will be fine with Ms. Heartfillia."

"But sir-"

"Maka, I understand your concern but, you have to trust that Crona is in good hands. We specifically set Ms. Heartfillia to teach Crona."

It wasn't that Maka distrusted Lucy it was more of how worried she was for Crona as she knows that they are very timid, to say the least.

Unbeknownst to herself, Soul had come back from talking to Natsu and put a hand on her shoulder to assure her that things are going to be okay.

"You can always see them after school." Professor Stein continued.

She nodded, finally relaxing, her and Soul went back to the classroom along with the other students.

Meanwhile…

"Thanks again, Sid for walking me down here." Lucy says gratefully.

"It's no problem."

They finally reach the gigantic metal door that opens to Crona's room.

He continued, "I should probably get going. Crona doesn't like me," he raises his voice, "Even though they have nothing to be afraid of!"

He ends up walking away mumbling to himself leaving Lucy alone with the door. She takes a breath and opens the door gently.

"Crona?" She called out.

She sees them one their bed in a crouched position. She slowly walks over to the edge of the bed.

"Hi I'm Lucy." She introduces herself, warmly smiling.

No response other than slight rocking.

"So I heard you're a meister."

They nod in response, still not lifting their head up to look at her. Until out of nowhere a black being, known as Ragnarok, appears out of Crona's back violently. Ragnarok is very little, but very strange which takes Lucy a minute to process.

During this minute, Ragnarok is also processing something. Beyond her leaning back, eyebrow rating, and her mouth opening slightly he gazed at her body like it was a lifetime supply of candy.

Lucy had quickly noticed something was off, from her experience of seeing weapons and meisters working together side by side, not in or out. There was clearly more to Crona's story than had Death or Sid briefly explained to her.

He had begun yelling at them and pulling their light purple hair. It was unusual to see this toxic relationship between the two.

"Why didn't you introduce me to this fine lady?!" Ragnarok badgered his winey yet intense voice.

"Stop it! Stop! I don't know how to handle girls! Owww! Ragnarok you're hurting me!" Crona cried.

Lucy stopped analyzing the situation and took action trying to pull off Ragnarok from grabbing Crona's face.

Little Ragnarok may be, he is very clever, he does release the hold of their face but only moves them to how far his little arms go, Crona's wrists.

She did see this coming, but was too late to react because that little guy is very fast with his motions. He had indeed used Crona to grope Lucy's most indecent part of her body and out of instinct she had used her most famous technique, her 'Lucy Kick'.

Instantly she regretted what she did as Crona wasn't the one to blame.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to- are you okay?"

"No, I'm sorry for grabbing you, please don't be mad…"

Ragnarok was already gone so it was only them two. Crona was back again in their crouched position.

"Here let's start over. Hi my name is Lucy Heartfillia and I am your teacher." She reaches her hand out to them to shake while smiling brightly.

Crona uncurls themself from their position and shakily reaches out their hand to shake hers. She then pulls them up to standing from the grey dusty, cold ground.

To this a new friendship, adventure, and of course a new lesson.

A/N

Eek! Sorry for the long wait but it feels good to be back! Next chapter you will see some new Mages. Now I want to address something.

Crona's pronouns for this story will be known as they/them for this story. I know the dubbed version of Soul Eater Crona is known as a 'he' and in the Japanese Crona is a 'her'. There are many speculations of which Crona's gender is a male or female and it is never confirmed what gender Crona is. (There is more information about this debate) Since it is never clarified in either manga or anime what gender Crona is I will be using they/them pronouns to tell this story. Now I do not want to offend anyone who is non-binary this is solely based to tell a story and really who cares what gender Crona is?! They are a great character in Soul Eater!
