Chapter 8: Us or Her
A/N: First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hate to start this chapter out on a bad note but I felt this needed to be expressed. On the last chapter, someone reviewed "i stop reading your story now. its sad that an author just posting new review (chapter) if he/she gets new reviews...bye"
First off, if you're gonna be rude, at least don't be a wuss and go by a guest/anon account. Secondly, I don't post a new chapters to get reviews. That's a waste of my time to just write something only for the reviews. I enjoy writing and this is one of the outlets I use to express myself. I write because i get to share my love for Kogan with others who like them as well . The reviews are an added bonus. I'm also busy in my everyday life, so I write when I can, which I usually explain to my readers. So, if you don't have anything nice to say or can't PM me whatever problem you may have with me or my work, then don't read my stories.

To theGuestReviewer: thank you dear friend for your very fun and insightful PM reviews of each chapter and always just checking in on me!:D
Logan walked hastily to Janice's daycare room as soon as he finished his research. He put all the rap sheets into a folder and decided to work on them at home. In his haste, he wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into someone.
"Whoa, Logan! What's the rush?" Kendall asked. Logan looked up at Kendall angrily and tried to push past him but the blonde spy stepped in his path.
"Move, Kendall! I need to get to Andy."
"Okay! You can do that but just tell me what's got you heated."
"It's just—" Logan paused. He wanted to tell Kendall the truth but he didn't wanna come off as the 'jealous ex' if he told him what Jo said. So, he did what every spy does best—lie.
"I started feeling a tickle in my throat and thought it best if I went ahead *cough, cough* and took *cough* Andy home." Logan couldn't fake a cough to save his life but he was hoping Kendall would buy it. To his dismay, the look on Kendall's face told him he didn't buy it one bit.
"Logan, two things. One, you're terrible at small lies. Secondly, you were feeling fine earlier and if you're really sick, you'd know it's not exactly a good idea to have a newborn around you. Let me take him home—"
"No, Kendall!" Logan yelled loud enough to catch the attention of nearby agents. He stepped forward into Kendall's personal space. The two men had never been this close in a long time. Logan looked into Kendall's green eyes. Green eyes he could get lost in forever.
"My son—"
"Our son!" Kendall sternly interjected.
"OUR son is the most important thing to me and I'm not gonna let anyone hurt him."
"Who is trying to hurt him?" Kendall got in Logan's face and searched his eyes for some type of answer but Logan was good at not giving up a secret.
"It doesn't matter. The point is that if you being in Andy's life is gonna just put him in danger, then I think it's time we limit our contact with each other." Logan felt the sting of each word as left his mouth. "Now, excuse me, I need to go get him." He pushed past Kendall, leaving him standing there in total shock. Kendall came back reality and grabbed Logan's arm before he could get away.
"You're. Not. Taking. My. Son." Kendall said in a low guttural voice. The frustration and anger in his voice resonated loud and clear in Logan's ears. Logan put on a brave face and turned to Kendall.
"I will do what I think is best for Andy. If I say you can't come around him, you're not coming anywhere near him. Now, let go of me." Logan said, just as menacingly. He and Kendall glared at each other for the longest time before he yanked his arm out of Kendall's grip and walked away. Kendall was seething with anger and was determine to find out who out to hurt his son. He watched with stinging, watery eyes as Logan walked away. Little did either of them that Jo was watching their interaction off from the side, with a mischievous smirk upon her lips. She tossed her hair to side and the folded her arms.
"And, so it begins." Jo said to herself with an dark glint in her eyes.
Logan sat on the floor watching TV with Andy laying on his pallet. It took Logan a while to calm him down as he was being very fussy all night. Logan began to think that Andy could feel his stressful vibes and was reacting to it. When he'd first gotten home and had Andy settled in his bassinet, he immediately began securing his home. He set alarms all over the windows. He even went as far as putting invisible lasers on the perimeter of the window, upstairs and downstairs. To Logan, Andy's safety and well-being was the most important thing. Logan watched Andy as he laid on his back, staring up at the ceiling in wonderment.
Logan got closer to the infant and laid down next to him. He rubbed his stomach while the baby looked up at him with a smile. Just when he had gotten comfortable, a knock sounded at the door and a voice followed with it.
"LOGAN! LOGAN, OPEN UP!" Kendall's voice came through the door. Logan's eye widened because he wasn't expecting company, especially Kendall. What was worse than Kendall being at the door, Andy started fussing all over again. 'Great, just what I need.' Logan thought. He picked Andy up and began bouncing him but that didn't seem to do it. He walked to fast to the door but didn't immediately open it.
"Kendall, stop shouting. You're gonna alert the neighbors." Logan was thinking of Jeff in particular. If he heard Kendall shouting and banging on his door, he'd surely come over. That was the one thing Logan didn't want. "What do you want?! I'm kinda busy here." Logan asked, hoping he'd leave.
"You know what I want! Open up!" Logan sighed. He carried Andy back to the baby pen and placed the crying baby in it. Kendall had just about given up when he heard the locks on the door turning. The second a crack in the door was made, he barged his way in. Kendall ran over to the pen. He picked him up and cradled him ever so gently the baby fussed but soon settled into his father's arms. Kendall rocked Andy in his arms, shushing him as he began to fuss again.
"Shhh...shhh...I got you, baby. I got you." Kendall hummed a soft melody to calm his son. It turned out to be a success when Andy stopped crying and looked up at Kendall with his big eyes. Logan watched the scene with a soft smile. He leaned against the wall and slid down until he was sitting on the floor. He sighed as he rubbed his face with his hands.
"Ugh! What was I thinking?"
"Yeah...what were you thinking?" Kendall quipped to which Logan rolled his eyes.
"I thought by keeping him away from you would solve the problem but in fact it only makes it worse."
"I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is. It's literally only been a day since you said you'd let me be in his life and now you wanna take him away again." Kendall sighed. "Make up your mind, would ya?"
"I'm trying! I really am. It's hard for me." Logan said.
"We can't keep doing this. Going back forth and bickering and all that. We've gotta work together to protect him. That's the only way he'll ever be safe." Kendall looked down at Andy and kissed his cheek. " I don't know who threatened you or him but they're not gonna hurt either of you I won't let them." He walked over to Logan and held out his free hand. Logan looked at it for a second but took it and pulled himself up. Kendall then wrapped him in his embrace with Andy in the other arm.
"Kendall, what are you-"
"Just be quiet and let me hold you." Logan begrudgingly did as he was told. Soon enough, he relaxed into Kendall's warm touch. He knew he shouldn't be doing this because of Jeff. But, it felt too good. Logan felt Kendall place his chin on the top of his head when he leaned into his chest. If this moment weren't considered strange and highly questionable given the circumstances of who they both were dating, Logan thought this would've been a picture-perfect moment.
"Hey Logan?"
"Hmm?" Logan responded, being brought from his thoughts.
"No matter what anyone says...You're mine...Always." Logan opened his eyes and looked up at Kendall, who was already looking down at him. Logan's heart was beating faster and faster with each passing second. He took his hand and brushed away a stray blond hair that was on Kendall's forehead. Finally remembering that he was dating someone, he pulled out of Kendall's embrace and kept his back turned to him.
"Kendall...we can't do this." Logan sighed putting his hand on his forehead.
"Why not? We're it. We're endgame. You, me, and Andy."
"Because, Kendall-"
"Because, why?!"
"IT'S JO!" Logan spun around to face Kendall.
"What's her?" Kendall squinted his eyes in confusion.
"She threatened me and Andy." Kendall's face took on a dark expression. One that even made Logan fearful.
"I'm gonna kill her." Kendall said marching to the door giving Andy to Logan in the process. Logan grabbed Andy as well as throwing himself against the door to stop Kendall from leaving.
"KENDALL, NO! It won't make anything better and you'll only make things worse. Please don't leave."
"SHE THREATENS MY SON AND FEELS SHE CAN GET AWAY WITH IT?"
"I know! I know! But, please, just calm down. You're scaring Andy." Logan bounced Andy as he began to get fussy all over again. Kendall paced the floor in anger.
"Kendall, look. I dealt with it but you're gonna have to make a choice. If you wanna be with us, you've gotta leave her alone. Otherwise, this is goodbye."
"NO! That's it! We're done. Andy's the only thing that I got right in this world. Nothing and no one is taking that from me. " Logan nodded. He walked over to the pen and grabbed Andy's blanket to wrap around him.
"Well, I'm not sure how I feel about this and I hope I don't regret it." Logan stepped closer to Kendall. "You can stay here tonight, on the floor of course. It's late and I don't want you getting tired out on the road." Kendall's dark demeanor was replaced immediately with joy.
"Are you sure? I don't wanna step on Jack's toes by being here."
"Yes, you do and his name is Jeff." Logan smirked. Kendall smirked back at how well Logan knew him. Logan turned and headed for the staircase. Kendall made sure to get a good look at Logan's rear end as he walked by. However, Logan being as intuitive as he is, knew he was being watched.
"Are you coming or are you just gonna keep staring at my ass?" Kendall looked up and ran to catch up with Logan, turning out the downstairs light as he ran by.
Little did either of them know, Jeff was standing outside in the yard with a rose and bottle of wine, looking in the window. Jeff pulled out his phone and dialed an unknown. It rang continuously until a voice came through the other line.
"Hello?" A deep, guttural electronic voice sounded through the receiver.
"Time for phase two, sir."
"Perfect." The voice replied and hung up.
Jeff tossed the flower in the yard and walked back to his home.

I'm so happy to be back you guys! I missed you all so much! This has brought me so much joy. You guys are gonna love this story... Or at least I hope. I've got more Charmed Life coming and a new story that I started working on to help get me back. Also, Kendall's album, HAPPY MISTAKES , has inspired some of the chapters.
Truth be told I felt iffy about this chapter but I thought it was a good step in the right direction. Be sure to catch up on The Charmed Life! I'll be posting soon!
I love you all!
