Like Other Girls
Chapter 5
"What is wrong with you?" Elena asked leaning against Damon's door frame as he put on his jacket, he always loved wearing that old thing ever since they had picked it out at the mall together.
"Nothing is wrong with me Gilbert; I just want to get this night over with."
"Now I know something is wrong, you love parties. This isn't like you."
"Maybe I'm just tiring of going to parties."
"Well no one said you had to go to this one. Especially if you insist on being a Debbie downer."
"I'm not a Debbie Downer I just don't think you trying to get into Rebekah's good graces is a good idea."
"Why not?"
"It just doesn't seem like something you would do. You've never been concerned if people liked you before."
"We're in high school now. Things are different."
"They don't have to be. Don't you want friends who like you for who you are?"
"You just don't understand."
"So, are we going or not?"
"Yeah. I'm just waiting on you."
"Well I'm ready whenever you are."
"Then let's get a move on." She smiled as they both headed out the door unsure of what this night held for them.
"Lexi. You made it." Rebekah smiled as she pulled Lexi into a hug giving Elena a look.
"Hey Becks, how are you doing?"
"Would be doing better if you got your ass got in here and shared a drink with me."
"Then by all means. Lead the way."
Smiling, Lexi, Damon, and Elena stepped into the party as Lexi and Rebekah peeled off to go in search for that drink as a group of people who recognized Damon waved him over. She told him to go ahead and go as she went to the nearby keg to get a drink. Something told her that she would need one.
"New to the party scene?" a voice asked making Elena almost drop her beer as she turned to see a blonde haired, blue eyed cutie.
"You could say that." She replied wanting nothing more than to find a dark corner and hide in it.
"I don't mean to bother you. I'm new to all this too and I was just looking for someone who felt the same about parties as I do."
"And how do you feel about parties?" she asked him taking a sip of beer.
"You can say that I detest them."
"Well I don't. As a matter of fact, I'm going to get back to the party."
"I never got your name."
"You never asked for it." She answered leaving the guy and going over to where Lexi sat in a semi-circle on the floor along with Rebekah and a few other people.
"Hey girl. Come join us." Lexi smiled sounding giddy.
"What are we doing?" she asked taking a seat much to Rebekah's dismay.
"We are playing an old school game of truth or dare."
"Awesome. Whose turn is it?" she asked as a vicious grin consumed Rebekah's face.
"Yours. Of course."
A smile fell from Elena's face as she wondered what the hell, she had just gotten herself into.
"Alright. I'm game."
"Truth or dare." Rebekah asked a challenge in her voice pushing Elena to make a choice she knew she would regret.
"Dare."
"I dare you to kiss Damon Salvatore." Rebekah challenged as color drained from Elena's face. What the hell had she done?
