Chapter 5
Rosalie's POV
Pulling up into the Forks High parking lot, I immediately spot Emmett and Rayne standing near his Jeep. As I slowly make my way to the empty spot next to Em, I watch Ray turn and the minute brown orbs lock onto mine I can't help but send her a wink. I see her eyes go wide and hear her heart rate speed up, over her shoulder I can see Em trying to hold in his laughter.
Rayne's POV
Em just finished inviting me over to his place when I see the sexy Beemer from a few days ago pull up beside us, looking at the driver's side I see one of the, literal, girls of my dreams sitting inside, 'Of course its hers, how did i not see that one coming?' I groan internally, 'she can't possibly get any hotter...' As soon as my eyes meet hers, she shoots a wink my way, 'well fuck me sideways, I guess I was wrong'. Looking her over, I can see that Rose is dressed in a golden tan leather jacket with a black top underneath.
"Dude, when you're done drooling over my sister just let me know if you can make it, sometime today though preferably," Emmett nudges my shoulder with his own. Blushing, I look back at the boy and nod, trying my best to shake off the sudden nervousness when I hear the door open and close.
"You know, it would be great if you'd come", Rose says against my ear, her voice and the breath against my neck sending shivers down my back. "Uh...I...I'd love to, um, do I have to bring anything?" I manage to finally speak and in an effort to not make an idiot of myself, look straight at Em, ignoring the bombshell leaning into my side. Tilting his head, the boy seems deep in thought for a few seconds before grinning and shaking his head, "Nah, I got the video games and snacks covered, you just make sure to be on time." Nodding, I go to respond when I feel another body press against my own and a familiar voice suddenly enters my ear, "If I'd known there would be cuddles this early in the morning I would've showed up a lot sooner." Eyes darting to the left I am greeted by the sight of Victoria with a smirk on her face as she eyes me and Rosalie with a mischievous grin on her face, "you do look deliciously warm." I hear a scoff from Rose and turn to see her giving Victoria an unimpressed look, "Well if you hadn't pulled that stunt earlier then maybe I wouldn't have had to leave you behind."
Before Victoria could respond a small girl walks over to us, holding her hand out with a dazzling smile on her face, "Hi, I'm Alice", shaking the petite girl's hand I look over her shoulder to the quite blonde standing behind her. "...given that my siblings have absolutely no manners, I thought I'd introduce myself...Oh! And this is Jasper" she says, to which the blonde simply looks at me and nods, 'Oh yeah, they were at the table with Em, Rose and Vic'. Nodding back with a smile, I feel a gentle squeeze on my shoulder before Rosalie starts to usher me towards the front doors of the school, "Huh?" I mutter, confused as to why we were suddenly moving. "Now that the introductions are finished, we should probably get to class before the warning bell rings", she states with an amused smile on her face. 'Duh Rayne, why the hell else does one come to school' I think to myself, blushing in embarrassment. "Oh yeah, class..." I trail off. As soon as we enter the doors, I'm expecting to be on the receiving end of multiple death stares but am instead saved from that fate because the hallways are completely empty, "Cutting it a bit close there but at least we're not late, if we were then I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to make it to you guys' place cuz my dad would've skinned me alive", I breathe out relieved. Rosalie merely chuckles and I feel happy that I've caused it, 'Ok Rayne, stop being a total dweeb and get it together', shaking my head and looking at the blonde standing beside me I decide to give the big tease a taste of her medicine, "Well thanks for walking me to class Rose", I state while doing my best not to blush before pressing a kiss dangerously close to her lips and swiftly entering the classroom without looking back. 'That's how it's done', I high five myself mentally.
