The man began demanding that Cabe release him. They had no proof he did anything wrong and it was her word against his. Happy smiled, "That's what you think. If you bothered reading the message on the window beside our door the premises are being recorded, and by entering you consented to being recorded.

Cabe looked at her, "Can you get me a copy of the video? I can give it to LAPD and Paige will only have to file the complaint. The DA will be able to nail his coffin shut."

Happy nodded as she walked over to Paige's computer and began accessing the system.

Cabe pulled out his phone and called LAPD dispatch. As he hung up he saw the four other guys starting to walk up towards the building. He pushed the guy past Paige and out of her office and on out the front door. Cabe Held out his badge, "That's far enough, Agent Cabe Gallo, Homeland security. Get back in your truck and leave the premise unless you would like to join your friend here in jail."

The four men stopped and looked at Cabe and their friend and each other. Cabe figured they were trying to decide if they could rush him so he just dropped his badge and pulled out his gun. "I would rethink your decision, I'm an expert marksman and none of you are faster than a speeding bullet."

The four men at first took several steps back before they turned and ran to their truck when they heard a siren in the distance. As they drove off Cabe made the guy bend over the railing of the balcony and he quickly put his gun away and picked up his badge. Cabe looked back into the office and saw Happy coming out but didn't see Paige. As the door opened, "Where is our girl?"

Happy gestured with her thumb over her shoulder, "Bathroom getting sick. There is the complete video file from today, plus a copy of what happened from the time I came out to put my tools up to just after you handcuffed this scumbag." She held out the flash drive.

Cabe nodded as he took the drive and put it in his jacket pocket, "Thanks Happy."

Happy nodded.

LAPD took immediate possession of the man but it took another half hour to complete the paperwork. Once they were gone Cabe looked at Happy, "So are you going to come back to Scorpion?"

Paige stepped out of the office.

Happy shrugged, "When Paige first talked to us Friday about it I didn't want to. But after thinking about it all weekend I would at least like to talk with Walter. I probably should at least apologize to him for just walking out on him like I did."

Paige smiled, "I'm sure Walter would appreciate hearing you say that Happy. I know he misses you."

"I'll call the rental company tomorrow and arrange a time for them to send some different workers over to collect the rest of their stuff and have Toby come with me. I don't want you coming back over here. Especially by yourself," Happy told Paige.

Paige smiled, "Thank you Happy. Not sure I could come back without you guys anyway."

Cabe looked at Happy, "Let me know when they are coming and I will make sure someone is here even if I can't be."

Happy nodded as she looked at Cabe, "If you don't mind bringing me back over to get my truck. I can drive Paige's car back to the Garage for her and she can ride with you. I don't think she needs to try driving right now."

Cabe nodded, "Sounds good to me. You got everything you need kid?"

Paige nodded, "Thank you Happy." She walked with Cabe out to his SUV while Happy locked the door and set the alarm. Cabe waited until Happy got into Paige's car before they left for the Garage.

On the way over Happy thought about Walter a bit more and decided she should go ahead and speak with him now rather than wait until sometime later.

Happy parked Paige's car in the spot she always parked in as Cabe parked the SUV in his. Paige nearly fled the SUV and into the Garage. Happy walked over to Cabe's side of the SUV, "If you got a minute, I'm going to go ahead and talk with Walter now. I want to do it now, before I chicken out."

Cabe smiled, "You chicken out? I can't believe that. But that's fine, do you want me to wait out here while you talk with him?"

Happy shook her head, "You can come in if you want to."

Walter was in the kitchen making a new pot of coffee when Paige ran in and grabbed him and hugged him tightly. Her body shook against him and he could hear tiny sobs as his arms came up around her protectively and trying to comfort her as worry entered his mind.

He found himself making a gentle shushing noise. Not really meant as trying to get her to be quiet but he was hoping the auditory sound would comfort her.

Happy and Cabe entered the Garage and looked around. But they didn't see either Paige or Walter. Happy's head cocked a bit and finally heard the light sobs before she pointed towards the kitchen. Cabe nodded and they moved over toward Paige's desk so they could see the couple but not intrude on them.

As quiet as they were Walter still seemed to hear them and looked up. He was surprised to see Happy and he looked at them questioningly. Happy looked to Cabe and he shrugged his shoulders.

Happy frowned as she slowly stepped forward. Speaking quietly Happy explained, "While I took my tools out to my truck one of the movers attacked Paige. Thankfully Paige kneed him in groin and got away from him before he could really hurt her."

Cabe stepped up, "Well don't downplay your own role. The guy was able to grab Paige's arm after she got out of her office and Happy kicked the scumbag and got Paige away from him while I arrested the piece of filth."

Walter wanted to be so angry at the man and part of him was but his heart was so full of gratitude that Happy and Cabe had been there. He held Paige a bit tighter as he found he was experiencing a deeper compassion for Paige than he ever had for anyone before. He reached out a hand towards Happy and she looked at him with confusion.

Walter extended his hand again and Happy slowly stepped on into the kitchen and tentatively reached out and took his hand and he pulled gently against her and she stepped on in and he wrapped his arm around her pulling her up against Paige's back.

While Happy had been growing emotionally with the Doc this was still a bit out of her comfort zone but she was still impressed that Walter had made the effort. She slowly wrapped her arms around Paige and as much of Walter as she could.

Walter had a tear in his eye, "Thank you Happy, I owe you big time for being there for Paige."

Paige was beginning to relax as she felt the love directed at her.

Happy swallowed hard, "Walt, I need to apologize to you."

Walter shook his head, "What you did for Paige more than apologized for any slight against me. And if at some point you and Toby want to come back to Scorpion, I'd be more than happy to hire you back."

Happy looked at him, "I didn't do it to get a job."

Walter smiled, "I didn't offer you a job because you did it. I just accepted it as the best apology I could have ever gotten."

Cabe just stood there smiling when he heard the coffee pot ding. "Anyone else want a cup of coffee?"

The three friends began laughing as Paige dabbed at her eyes, "Maybe after I go wash my face." Paige looked at Walter and kissed him, "Thank you."

Walter smiled, "You don't have to thank me for that. I love you."

Paige smiled, "I love you too Walter." She kissed him again and walked off to the back of the Garage to the restroom.

Walter grabbed the coffee pot and poured four cups. Happy and Cabe grabbed theirs while Walter mixed creamer into Paige and his coffee and carried them out to their desks. Happy and Cabe followed him out.

Happy looked around, "Looks like you've done a lot of changing of things. Is this how we'd work moving forward if we come back to work?"

Walter looked up from his chair, "Well to be perfectly honest with you, the petty side of me thought if you guys were to come back this is how I wanted it. I wanted separation, almost isolation from you. I didn't want our friendship back because you really hurt me. But, with what you did for Paige, I can't be petty. I have to acknowledge how much I appreciate what you did for Paige and I also have to acknowledge it for my own emotional improvement."

Paige had walked into the kitchen and smiled at Walter's words. As she walked on out of the kitchen, "You don't have to answer now Happy. You can think it over."

Walter looked up at her, "Absolutely."

Paige bent over and whispered to Walter, "Would you like to invite them to the condo for the cookout?"

Walter looked up and smiled, "That's an excellent idea. We're going to be grilling out tonight. Would you guys be interested in joining us at the condo?"

Cabe smiled immediately, "Well if you are sure we're not intruding on your time together. Seeing how you both are just getting back together. I'm sure Allie would love that too."

Paige and Walter both shook their heads, "Happy? Would you and Toby like to come?"

Happy was thinking it over when she smiled, "Free food and no dishes to do? Count us in."

Walter and Paige both smiled. Paige brushed a lock of hair from her face, "We should be home by six, prep and cooking time we should be ready to eat by seven. So anytime in between if you want to show up."

Happy handed Paige her keys and left with Cabe to get her truck.

Walter moved back from his desk and took Paige's hand and pulled gently until she stepped over and sat down on his lap. "Are you really okay?"

Paige nodded, "I am now. Do you think we should invite Sly?"

Walter shook his head, "I don't want Flo around and I don't think it would be right to invite him without inviting her."

Paige smiled that Walter was able to recognize that.

Happy and Toby were on their way to Paige's condo. He was becoming suspicious as long as it was taking and it seemed like they were headed for Paige's condo. Toby finally looked at Happy, "Where exactly are we going to eat?"

Happy looked in the rearview mirror, "Paige's place."

Toby looked over, "Insane engineer said what now?"

Happy reached over and grabbed his upper arm between her index and middle finger and squeezed before twisting. "Ow," Toby shrieked.

"Walter and Paige invited us over after I saw him today," Happy told him.

Toby couldn't believe her, "Why in the world did you go see that jerk?"

Happy checked the rearview mirror again, "Because I felt like I owed him an apology for how we walked out on him. Plus I drove Paige's car over there while Cabe drove her there."

Toby looked at her confused, "Wait. Why did you drive Paige's car and why was she riding with Cabe?"

Happy looked at him and then remembered she didn't tell him about what happened to Paige so she explained about the mover.

Toby looked concerned, "Mustard greens, is Paige okay?"

Happy looked at him, "Mustard greens?"

Toby laughed, "I'm trying something different instead of regular words of expression like damn."

Happy nodded, "She was a lot better when Cabe took me back to get the truck. Anyway as I went to apologize to Walt he told me what I did for Paige more than made up for any slight against him. And he said if we wanted our jobs back he'd welcome us back in Scorpion. And then they invited us over for dinner."

Toby was near speechless, "That doesn't sound like the Walter O'Brien we know."

Happy nodded as she made a turn, "He actively comforted Paige from the attack. And he reached out to me and took my hand and pulled me in so the three of us could hug."

Toby stared at her, "Whoa, that's some seriously next level emotion for our robotic leader."

Happy looked at Toby, "Does that mean you want to rejoin Scorpion?"

Toby nodded, "It would look better on our adoption paperwork if we are gainfully employed."

Happy nodded, "Well speaking of that. We have really got to work at it to get new business for Scorpion. Paige told me that at best Scorpion will only be able to employ us for six months without new jobs."

Toby adjusted his hat, "Sounds like Scorpion wasn't doing too well without us either. Funny how the 5 of us together were able to do so much good but separated we sucked."

Happy pulled into the parking area in front of Paige's condo. Happy asked as she turned off her truck, "Okay, so we're agreed to rejoining Scorpion then?"

Toby nodded, "I miss the big brain too."

Happy pointed a finger at him, "Just remember you owe him an apology too."

Toby swallowed hard, "Yes Ma'am."

Happy and Toby made their way up to Paige's door and knocked.

Ralph opened the door and smiled, "Come on in guys." He stepped back so they could enter before closing the door.

Paige looked up from the kitchen, "Hey guys. I'll have everything ready in a few minutes and you can build your own shish kabobs."

"Hey Paige, Happy told me what happen. I am really glad you are okay," Toby told her as he stepped over and hugged her.

Paige smiled, "Thanks."

Toby looked around, "Where's the big brain?"

Paige went back to slicing, "He went to get a new propane tank for the grill. The old one was almost empty. He should be back in a few."

Toby nodded, "Good, Happy told me I owe him an apology and I want to be sure and get it done."

Paige smiled.

Happy looked around, "Where's Cabe and Allie?"

Paige looked up, "He should be on the way here with Allie. He had to pick her up from work. Apparently her car broke down one day after getting it back from the repair shop."

Happy stared at her, "Why didn't they come to me?"

Paige laughed, "I don't know, you'll have to ask when they get here."

Hoping this finds you all well! We're still doing as well as we can here. Sorry I didn't post yesterday but both stories were speaking and I was switching back and forth and writing and neither story was at a point to end so I had to wait. To the Adventure! -Tim
