Chapter 11
Once I got underway through the area to the east of the lab, I started to encounter different monsters that all had an element of either being technology-based or loving heat. For the technology-based ones, there was Tsunderplane, who was easily beaten just by getting close to her because it seemed that she had a huge crush on me. Then there was Vulkin, a monster that was incredibly adorable and loved being encouraged, even though it made him much hotter because of him literally being a walking volcano. And finally, there was Pyrope, a monster that loved being hot and making stuff hotter. It made me amused to see that these monsters all were trying to capture me, but they didn't give a crap anymore after I befriended them all easily... especially Tsunderplane.
"I-I don't like you! A-Are you crazy?" Tsunderplane exclaimed when I asked her directly.
"Then why the intense blush?" I smiled at her.
"I-I..." she said as I simply smiled and got closer to her.
"You know, it's better to just be honest about your feelings, right? Not saying you have any feelings for me in a romantic sense, maybe it's just embarrassment because you wanna be friends? Just trust me, when you do find the right guy or gal one day, you're never gonna go anywhere with them unless you're honest," I smiled at the plane girl. I was about to head back off again before she stopped me.
"W-Wait..." she said, me stopping in place and turning around. "Y-You're right... I need to be honest... I... to tell the truth... since I heard how you helped all those monsters that Alphys had... the Amalgamates, as some are calling them... it made me super crush on you... like, very hard... I really want to be with you from now until the end of time... o-okay... baka?" she said with a blush, me smiling at her happily.
"Your offer is accepted, Tsunderplane. I'm actually on my way to meet with the king right now and I have a feeling I'm gonna be encountering a certain robotic celebrity on the way. It'd mean everything to me if I had a girlfriend to cheer me on from the audience," I smiled at her, Tsunderplane gushing in glee at that and me smiling at that.
"EEEE! Yes! I'd love to do that with you, miss Mute!" she said excitedly as she then went directly next to me and I simply hugged her with my arms, since she didn't really have any. "I wish I could hug you too, but I don't have any arms, just wings," Tsunderplane said with a blush.
"It's quite alright. Besides, flying is always more awesome than walking or crawling," I smiled at her.
"Eheh... maybe one day, when the barrier is destroyed, you can ride on my back through the clouds..." Tsunderplane smiled.
"That sounds like a lovely idea," I smiled as I then kissed Tsunderplane on her nose, her body getting red at that and me smirking at how she was even more happy as she squealed at that.
"I love you, Mute! I really love you!" Tsunderplane said with excited engine vrooms from her turbines.
"Heh, I love ya too, Tsunderplane," I smiled as we then got to an area filled with pressurized pistons that would launch me forward. I simply rode on them for fun and Tsunderplane followed me into dark room as I got a call from Alphys.
"Uh, hi... that room you're in is awfully dark. Here, let me hack it to turn the lights on," Alphys said as the lights then came on to reveal... a kitchen area that looked very cute in appearance. "Oh no..." she groaned as I saw a face appear from behind the counter... and it was cube as tall as me with lights on his front, having noodle arms with gloves on the ends, a singular wheel that it used for motion, holding a microphone, and wore a chef's hat and an apron.
"Oooh Yess! Welcome, beauties, to the Underground's premiere cooking show, 'Cooking with a Killer Robot'!" the robot said, me only then smiling at how this had to be Mettaton. I saw that Tsunderplane was watching from the sidelines and she looked excited.
"Ooh! A cooking show! Cook up that dish good, Mute!" Tsunderplane smiled, me giggling at that.
"Ah, an audience for our lovely guest, is it? Well, beauties, give it up for our guest, Mute!" Mettaton smiled as he then clapped his hands happily. "For today's cooking show, we are going to be making... a cake! The ingredients we'll need are eggs, milk, and sugar. Mute, darling, would you go fetch them for me?" Mettaton asked, me nodding at that as I then got the ingredients from the table behind me while singing a little song.
"~This is the way that we're gonna bake the cake
Take the sugar and milk and then crack in the egg.
We live in a world where the fame is make or break
But when it comes to fame, I will always shake a leg~," I sung as I then put the ingredients on the table and Mettaton looked at me with his face turning to a smiley face.
"Well, well! It looks like we have a little songstress for our show today! And she has gotten all the ingredients... oh, wait, I forgot the most important ingredient!" Mettaton said.
"Yeah, flour," I smirked with a chuckle.
"Naw, darling," Mettaton said as he then got something from under the counter and I saw it was something that not even I would be able to survive. A freaking chainsaw! "A human soul!" Mettaton said as he then tried to get near me with it and I simply backed away before Mettaton got a call and he answered it. "Hello? I'm kind of in the middle of something here," Mettaton said as I then heard Alphys's voice speak on the other end.
"Wait a second! C-Couldn't you make a... substitution in the recipe?" Alphys asked.
"A substitution? You mean use a different non-human ingredient? Why?" Mettaton asked.
"I dunno, maybe because the taste would be terrible?" I smirked as I then heard something play nearby. The wah wah wah of a trombone. And I saw it was Sans from behind me. And that made Tsunderplane howl with laughter.
"Oh, darling, then what kind of substitution could we use?" Mettaton asked.
"Maybe use a vegan supplement?" I smirked.
"Vegan... that's a brilliant idea, my lovely guest! In fact, I have just the substitution right over here! All-purpose MTT-Brand Human Soul Flavor Substitute! It's over there on that counter," Mettaton said, me smirking at that. "Go on then, darling," Mettaton said, me going over there and trying to grab the can of stuff... only for the whole freaking counter to suddenly grow and grow to the size of a freaking skyscraper, almost to the very roof! "Oh, by the way, darling, we're running on a strict schedule. If you can't make it to the can of substitute within one minute, then we'll just go back to the original plan! Well, toodles!" Mettaton said as he then jetted away with some kind of booster hidden under his wheel.
"Crud! I'll never be able to climb to the top of this in 1 minute! If only I had a girlfriend who could fly!... Oh wait! Tsunderplane, care to assist?" I smiled, Tsunderplane giggling and rushing up to me with a smile.
"Hop on and get ready for the ride of your life!" Tsunderplane giggled as I then hopped onto her back and I saw there was a seat belt there. I strapped it on and then Tsunderplane jetted off above us and Mettaton looked on in shock and surprise. His booster technology was no match for the turbines of a plane monster! Tsunderplane got me up to the flavor substitute within only 19 seconds, Mettaton looking to be a bit exhausted from chasing the two of us.
"Hah... hah... well, it would appear that I have been foiled! But do not fret, my lovely viewers! This is only one episode of a spectacular series! I'll catch you later during the live broadcast!" Mettaton smiled as I simply picked up the substitute and saw that it was actually full of chocolate. "Oh, and darling? Haven't you ever seen a cooking show? I already had the cake baked ahead of time! So forget it!" Mettaton exclaimed before boosting off again, Tsunderplane then taking me back to ground level and me smiling at her.
"Okay, that... was... AWESOME!" I smiled widely as I unstrapped myself and Tsunderplane giggled at that.
"Yeah, that was such a rush! I've never felt so alive!" Tsunderplane said happily to me as I hugged her happily. "Alright, hon, now that we've solved that crisis, I think it's high time we continue on our quest to find the king," I smiled at her.
"Agreed, hon," Tsunderplane smiled as we were about to move forward... only for me to see a certain flower back in the kitchen area. A certain flower that I knew I had to befriend.
"Tsunderplane, stay here for a second," I said, her humming at that as I then went back to the kitchen and Flowey simply stood in place in fear as I could feel something in my soul brimming with power. My kindness with Tsunderplane made manifest. It made Flowey completely unable to move, which I guess was because kindness was green, much like how Undyne could turn souls green.
"Y-You... d-don't come any closer to me!" Flowey said with fear in his voice as I simply smiled at him.
"Prince," I said, Flowey now looking at me in confusion.
"W-What?..." he asked.
"Prince, that's what I said. But not just any prince, are you, you poor non-soul?" I asked, Flowey shaking at that as I then spoke again. "You know, Flowey, when you said you were the prince of this world, at first, I thought you were talking nonsense, considering that you tried to kill me soon after... but I know now that you are the prince of this Underground world... the Prince of the monsters, Asriel Dreamurr... correct?" I asked him, Flowey gasping and looking more scared than he ever was before.
"I-I... How did you figure it out?" Flowey asked in fear.
"Quite simple, really. During my adventures down here, my friends spoke of how there was a certain flower from Asgore's garden that appeared shortly after Asriel's ashes fell there. And then Alphys gave that flower something to give it consciousness. And that flower, Asriel, is you," I said, Flowey looking like he would be ready to cry shortly. "But... nobody deserves to go through what you did. So... I'm willing to give you a second chance," I said, Flowey looking at me with even more confusion as I then simply let my soul out of my body and he gasped at it.
"I-Is... Is that..." Flowey asked. I didn't respond, instead, I simply focused my magic and sent it directly into Flowey's body, which resulted in my body going limp as I felt my consciousness go directly to Flowey instead.
"N-No! NO! T-This isn't how this is supposed to go! I-I..." Flowey said as a bright flash of light happened and I felt his body morph into that of what he was originally. The Prince of the Underground, Asriel Dreamurr. "I... I..." was all he could say as I then focused my powers and saw I could partially control his body. "I... can... feel it... all of your emotions... they're... they're so... nice... I..." Asriel said with a sad voice as I then spoke on my own.
"I made a promise to a friend, Asriel. I'd save everyone down here. And now, with me and you in the same body, we can finally do just that. Shatter the barrier and save literally everyone," I said with a smile.
"But... you're literally giving up your life to do so... your body's right there, after all..." Asriel said with a sad sob.
"Does it really matter who the owner of the body is? Listen, I don't want to quarrel with you, Prince Asriel, I just want to make everyone have a happy ending. And that includes you, and this is the only way I could think of doing so... so let's just move on," I said to him.
"O-Okay..." Asriel said as I simply let him move on and he got the items I had on my person and put them on himself. Namely, the different clothing from the fallen humans and my bag of stuff.
"Mute... are you still there?" Tsunderplane asked with worry.
"Yeah, I'm still here. I'm just in a different body now. But that doesn't matter, does it, hon?" I smiled at her.
"No, it doesn't... I-I'm just... wow... you'd literally give up your life so that everyone you know can have a happy ending... no wonder you were able to be the owner of a purity soul... your emotions are far stronger than anyone I have ever met in my entire life..." Tsunderplane gawked.
"I'd rather just keep moving on than keeping spending our time talking, because I did make one more promise to my mother. I'm going to meet with her on the surface before sunset no matter what it takes," I said as I looked at my old body with a small, sad smile. "But I am gonna need some kind of place to put my body at," I admitted with honesty. And then, just as I was about to go and get it... something stopped me. A single laser blast from out of nowhere! I looked up into the sky and gawked at what I saw.
"so, it's come to this, has it?" Sans asked as I saw he was in his battle look, blue glowing eye and everything. "y'know, mister prince, i really didn't want to have to do this in front of other people... but seeing what you just did to my friend?..." Sans asked as his face then got the black eyes to them... only this time, his face also changed shape as he got very menacing. "You'll be dead where you stand!" Sans said angrily and ominously as I then felt him try to manipulate my soul and I immediately refused.
"SANS! DON'T DO THIS!" I exclaimed out of Asriel's mouth and I soon gasped and held his mouth shut at what had just happened, same with Tsunderplane and Sans being legit surprised. "D-Did I just... scream? Like, no joke, did I just scream out loud?" I asked in pure shock. "I... I haven't screamed like that for over 9 years! Man, I think I really needed that!" I smirked. Sans looked on in shock as he then simply returned his look back to normal and simply smiled at me.
"ya know somethin', mute? you really are a miracle... here i thought that asriel absorbed your soul on purpose and was gonna try to erase the world and reset everything again... but i underestimated the power of a purity soul... almost as if, the moment he turned into asriel, his soul was lit up with the same purity you had," Sans said with a smile. "but i have to ask... why do it here and now? you know that everyone's going to be shell-shocked when they see prince asriel on the rest of mettaton's shows wearing your clothes and your body being here in plain sight," Sans said.
"I did this now because Flowey was right there in plain sight. I'd rather have done this now rather than later, when it would've been much more difficult for me to speak to him on my terms. Especially considering that, ever since I've learned I have a purity soul, I can tap into the different traits of each souls' power to do various stuff. Like being patient enough to counter Undyne's spear attack, being brave and just enough to rush in and save Monkid as they were about to fall down into a chasm. Or being kind enough to trap Flowey in place with the powers of a green soul attack," I smiled.
"wow... truly, this is a very unexpected, yet very welcome day we're having. i'll try to help out in spreading the word about this. in the meantime, you call up everyone else and tell them what happened, alright?" Sans smiled.
"Right, thanks, Sans," I smiled at him. "It was really fun doing this SHIN-dig with you," I smirked, Sans smirking at that.
"wow, even got the power to tell jokes as bad as mine. impressive stuff, mute. though what do we call ya, now that you're no longer mute?" Sans asked.
"Just keep calling me the same name... my real name is super embarrassing and I'd rather it be kept secret," I smiled as Asriel then took control and I had to wonder what he'd say.
"It's Mewtalia," Asriel said, me growling at that and forcing his body to do the chicken dance soon after. "Oh come on, really?" he frowned.
"You told my secret, now ya gotta do the chicken dance," I smirked at him, Tsunderplane laughing at that as well as Sans. "Alright, jokes are done, it's time to get down to business," I smiled.
"Right, we have to tell everyone, after all," Asriel smirked as he then got on my phone and we started to make calls... and the very first one we decided to call... was his mom.
