Chapter 13
After that whole ordeal with Chara, it only made me and Asriel feel bad... as well as terrified of Sans and his newfound power. It was to the point where Sans could barely hold in his deep voice because of how tough his combined soul was with all that power in him.
"So... I wanna break the ice here... who would win in a fight? Me and Asriel if we used our combined power of purity... or Sans in his weakest form?" I asked, Sans smirking at that.
"What? You wanna go a round or something?" Sans smirked at me in his deep voice.
"Oh, hell no, I was just throwing out a what-if scenario," I said with a small smile as Asriel then took control.
"I'm guessing that, from how she just backed out, she's kinda scared of facing you, even if you didn't have those souls in you," Asriel smiled.
"heh. guess i did give her a scare back then for sure," Sans smiled.
"Not just once, not twice... you know what? Pretty much every single time I've met with you from the Waterfall onward, I've gotten a new reason to fear and also respect your hidden power," I admitted to him.
"hehe... not really too-well hidden much anymore... i'm pretty sure that undyne was on that phone of yours right as i appeared to save ya," Sans said, me then gasping as I remembered. I had to call back Undyne! And I decided to go ahead and do that as we arrived in an area that looked like a bake sale, similar to the spider bake sale before... only this one was manned by... well, a spider teenager! And she looked to be very cute and adorable, while also looking kinda creepy with her five eyes on her head, her six arms, and her pale grey skin.
"Okay... Asriel, can you call Undyne again?" I asked, him doing that as Sans and Tsunderplane went over to the spider girl.
"Why hello there, dearies. You look like you could use some spider pastries," the girl smiled widely as I then got Undyne on the line.
"Yes, Mute? Is that you?" Undyne asked.
"Yes, it's me and Asriel again... hey, listen... during our last conversation, when did you hang up? Like, what were the last words you heard?" I asked her.
"Get dunked on. Those were the last words I heard before I hung up... just out of sheer shock... it's been happening a lot, recently," Undyne admitted.
"Yeah... first you learn I have a purity soul, then you learn about the Amalgamates, then you learn about me resurrecting Asriel, then Chara possessing my old body, and now, learning how freaking tough Sans is," I said.
"Yep... I'm just going to guess that he's the one who said you'd have a bad time if you told me how tough he was, right?" Undyne asked.
"Couldn't be anymore right if you tried," Sans said from his position and the spider girl looked at him with worry.
"Ooh... that's a pretty spooky voice right there... I like it! Huhu!" the girl smirked. "My name's Muffet. And what's yours, my creepy hunk?" Sans, after hearing this, just stood there with what looked like a dumbfounded smile.
"Uh... Sans... Sans the Skeleton," Sans said, not even hiding his real power now.
"Huhuhu! You sound and even look the creepy part! I like that in my men," Muffet said with a giggle.
"Is... Is Sans getting hit on... by a girl?" Undyne asked in the phone.
"Yeah... I think his deep voice is actually very attractive to her," I admitted.
"I see... anyways, I think that I'm gonna meet up with all of you in the Hotland's CORE. Besides, I need to see Asgore myself. Whenever it hits 5:30, that's usually when I give him my daily report," Undyne said.
"Well, it'd be widely appreciated if you came with us, Undyne," Asriel smiled.
"Yeah, I'd like to hear exactly how that battle with Chara went. Just from the sounds that I heard on the phone, it sounded pretty freaking epic! I wish I could've had a front-row seat to that kinda action!... It always sucks that all the best stuff you guys do is whenever I'm not around!" Undyne complained.
"You say that like you're jealous," Tsunderplane giggled.
"What was that, punk?!" Undyne exclaimed.
"Easy, ladies. Easy. Both of you apologize right now," I said with a smile. They then groaned and apologized at that. "Good, now that that's done... huh?" I said as I then looked at Muffet and Sans and I saw that Muffet now had a giant pile of loot next to her and Sans smiled at her. Undyne hung up soon after.
"Uh... Sans?... What happened while we were talking to Undyne?" I asked him.
"Oh, nothing much. I just gave her the funds needed to get her spider friends from the ruins to this area in a heated limo," Sans smirked. Muffet then smiled and kissed Sans on the cheek, which he simply smiled at.
"You're too sweet, Sansy baby. When my children get here, what do you say we go ahead and get a bite to eat?" Muffet smiled.
"Uh... Sans? I think she's got a collar wrapped around your neck... figuratively speaking," I smiled at him.
"Heh, looks like you're the jealous one now, huh, Mute?" Sans smirked at me.
"No, I'm just surprised that Sans, the Lazybones and Pun-Loving Skeleton... is gonna go on a date with a romantic interest," I admitted.
"Heh, guess you could say that I'm gonna have... a funnybone time?" Sans smirked. And that made Muffet howl with laughter, which made me and Asriel start to laugh as well as Tsunderplane.
"I think you found the one," Asriel smirked.
"Just might have. You guys can go on ahead, I'm gonna stay and help out Muffet," Sans smiled.
"Be careful not to get bit, Sans," I smiled at him.
"Don't worry, even if that did happen, my teeth could never puncture bones," Muffet giggled as me, Asriel, and Tsunderplane then continued forward through the place and I got a call from Alphys when we got to another area with no lights.
"Another dark room? Don't worry, I got this covered," Alphys said with a smile as she then turned the lights on... only for me to see that Mettaton had a camera directly centered on me and that he was actually flying and behind a podium... in a red tuxedo. "Come on..." she groaned.
"Oooh yess! Welcome, beauties, to the MTT Live Report! A certain situation is happening right now in Hotland. Mute has merged her soul with a certain flower and the combination has, somehow, against all odds, brought our Prince back from the dead!" Mettaton said, me and Asriel feeling a bit weirded out and claustrophobic from Mettaton airing us on the television. "And just in time, too, because we needed a good field reporter! Go on, darlings, find something newsworthy to report, would you?" Mettaton asked with a smile.
"Uh... okay... hopefully he knows not to mess with the Prince of the Underground... let's go do this... in song," I smiled at Asriel, him smirking at that as I then started to sing as I came across something that looked interesting. It was a script that Mettaton had.

Looks like we found a script for Mettaton's movie!
It looks like the date is set for March number 3,
Wait... why does this script feel so flippin' heavy?~" I sung the last bit as I lifted the script up and, out of nowhere, when I dropped it, the script opened up to reveal that there was a bomb in it!
"Oh dear! It appears that my script is gonna bomb big time! But don't fret, darlings, you haven't seen the rest of the room!" Mettaton smiled as he then turned the lights on the whole way and he got rid of his props around us. "It appears everything here is a bomb! That dog is a bomb! That basketball's a bomb! This glass of water is a bomb! Even my set pieces are..." Mettaton smiled as the set pieces then all exploded in unison, me gasping and Asriel being surprised as well. "You'd better be quick in disarming those bombs, darlings, because if you can't disarm all of them in 2 minutes, then this big bomb here will explode with them all! And I'd hate to have someone mop you off the floor. Well, toodles!" Mettaton said, me looking at Tsunderplane and her nodding at this.
"O-Okay, this may sound problematic, but your phone also has a disarming feature that I added to it, okay, you guys? Make sure that every single bomb gets deactivated! And hurry!" Alphys said with worry on our phone and Asriel looked surprised at how she addressed us.
"Did you see what happened earlier on your console, Alphys? Or do we need to explain that part later?" I asked her.
"I saw it, now enough talk, disarm everything!" Alphys exclaimed, me nodding as me and Asriel then proceeded around the place and started to use our phone to disarm all the bombs that we could possibly do. The water was the toughest because of how fast it moved while the dog was the easiest just because of how it stayed still and started to sleep. We managed to disarm everything, including the big bomb in only 1:30, Mettaton coming in and looking surprised.
"Astounding, you actually disarmed everything, including the big bomb! It appears that, once again, I have been foiled! But, don't worry, my lovely viewers! There is still one episode to go before the grand finale episode! I hope you stay tuned!" Mettaton smiled as he then jetted off into the distance.
"Okay, good job at keeping the act up, guys... by the way, Asriel... I wanted to apologize for what I did... it was all my fault that all this happened... with you becoming Flowey and all that," Alphys said with a sigh.
"It's alright, Alphys... if anything, you shouldn't be apologizing to me, but thanking Mute for everything she's done for pretty much all of us down here," Asriel smiled.
"Yeah... thanks, Mute... if it weren't for you, none of this would've been possible, especially considering how you're able to pacify almost every monster you come across... the only one you couldn't do so with was the Fallen Child... I still feel bad that they basically forced you to destroy your old body," Alphys frowned.
"Well, even if my body would've survived through that, I don't want to part my soul from Asriel's body. He deserves a second chance at life, you know?" I smiled Asriel then smiling and patting his chest at that.
"Thank you, Mute," Asriel smiled.
"Okay, now that we've handled that, I say we move on to the next area... see? The elevator's just up ahead," Tsunderplane smiled. We then proceeded to it and went up it to the next floor, which is when we saw that we were at a much higher vantage point than the rest of the areas we'd been to and a drop from this height would be deadly no matter if there was lava beneath us or not.
"Pretty scary to be up so high," Asriel admitted when we looked over the edge.
"Agreed," I smiled. "But you probably don't mind being in high areas, huh, Tsunderplane?"
"Hon, I'm a female plane monster that runs on hopes and dreams. Of course I'm not afraid of heights!" Tsunderplane smirked.
"I just had a hunch you'd be fearless of high places," I smirked at her as we then moved forward again and through an area that I could only assume was Muffet's place, as it was filled with tiny spiders and spider webs everywhere. "Watch where you step, Asriel. I don't want to hurt Muffet's little spiders," I said with a smile.
"Right," Asriel said as we watched our step across the different spider webs and Tsunderplane slowly trudged through the place, her accidentally getting a couple bits of webbing on her body that I then took off of her when we got to the other side, which is where we saw a poster with Mettaton's picture on it.
"Thanks, Mute... to be honest, the only way I can tell you two apart is the color of your eyes," Tsunderplane smirked at me.
"Really? How so?" I smiled at her.
"Well, Asriel's eyes are green and your eyes are brown. But I can only really tell by that alone and when you speak. Any other time, I don't know," Tsunderplane admitted.
"At least something happens that makes it obvious," I smiled.
"Yeah, I agree," Asriel smiled as we then moved forward and we saw we were on another set, this one looking like it was for a play or something.
"Oh? What is this?" asked the voice of Mettaton... in a more feminine voice. I then looked up into the window of the building nearby and saw... Mettaton... in a blue dress. "Could it be? My true love?" Mettaton asked as he then started to go down the stairs and Tsunderplane frowned.
"Oh god... is this gonna turn into opera?" she groaned. Her answer appeared when Mettaton started to sing... in false setto.
"~Oh my loves! Human and Prince!
Mountain King! We must convince!
Humans must! Live with monsters!
Then we'll be! Brighter than stars!~" Mettaton sung, me smirking as I then started to sing my own lines.
"~We agree! That would be nice!
We will love! And it will be suffice!
Purity! That's what we'll be!
Robot friend! This act is gonna end!~" I sung happily, and at the same pitch Mettaton used for false setto.
"Yes, but it is so sad... so sad that you're going to the dungeon... well, toodles!" Mettaton smirked as he then pushed a button on a remote and me and Asriel gasped as the floor below us opened up and we were sent down into a pit! And we then landed on a platform and Mettaton followed us with Tsunderplane. "Oh, my loves! I'm so sad you have been sent to the dungeon! And it has a puzzle so deadly that surely my paramours will perish!" Mettaton said with his female voice and he then had some lights occur near us. There was a giant and much tougher-looking puzzle to the east that led to an exit... and it was of the same kind of puzzle Papyrus tried to use on me in Snowdin! "Oh dear! Not the horrible colored tile puzzle! Surely, my loves won't survive! And worse, if they can't make it across in 40 seconds, then they shall be incinerated by the flame jets!" Mettaton said, Tsunderplane gasping at that.
"Don't worry, Tsunderplane, we can handle this!" I smirked at her.
"I believe in you, Mute and Asriel!" Tsunderplane said with a smile, me then nodding at that as I rushed through the puzzle as best as I could... but despite the fact I knew all the different tile functions, I was unable to figure out some of the tiles fast enough. I ended up only being 10 tiles away from victory before the timer expired.
"Oh my, darlings, it appears you will be lost to the flames!" Mettaton said in his feminine voice as the flames started to slowly get nearer to me and Asriel... until they suddenly turned off all at once and Alphys gave us a call. "Curses! How could this happen?!" Mettaton asked.
"I hacked the flames and turned them off! Face it, Mettaton. You lost!" Alphys said with confidence.
"Oh, Alphys, deary. Don't you recall what the green tiles do? They make a noise and you must fight a monster... well, darlings, that monster... is-" Mettaton was about to say before Tsunderplane rushed in and smiled.
"ME!" Tsunderplane exclaimed, Mettaton looking at her in surprise.
"Uh... what?" Mettaton asked as Tsunderplane then entered a small battle with me and Mettaton looked on in a dumbfounded way. "I was going to say that it was me, darling. What is your ploy right now?" Mettaton asked.
"Time to fight!" Tsunderplane said with a blush as she then faked trying to battle us with her ramming attacks as Alphys then talked on the phone.
"Okay, time for the finale. You see that yellow button on the phone? Press it!" Alphys said, me nodding and doing just that. I then gasped as control went directly to Asriel as our soul then emerged from our body and it was shining all the different colors of yellow imaginable! "Now shoot at Mettaton!" Alphys said, Tsunderplane getting out of the way and Mettaton gasping as me and Asriel shot at him with the power of our Justice soul and we saw that Mettaton looked to be actually a bit dazed from the powerful bullets!
"OOF! AUGH! Forget it! I know when I'm beat! I'll see you later for the finale of a lifetime! CURSES!" Mettaton exclaimed, obviously sounding annoyed at how we'd completely trounced him and Alphys then spoke to us.
"Well, I didn't expect that your purity soul would be even tougher with the power of justice coursing through it... I'm impressed!" Alphys smiled as Asriel pushed the button and I felt the soul enter our body again and I then got control of the body again.
"Neither did I..." I smiled as I looked at Tsunderplane with a smile. "By the way, Tsunderplane? That was a pretty clever trick you did," I smiled at her.
"I wanted to get in on the action for a change," she smiled widely.
"Well, you did a great job, hon," I smiled as I kissed her and her whole body turned red again.
"Love... critical hit," Tsunderplane giggled at the kiss, which made Asriel giggle at that.
"Okay, now how much further until the castle?" I asked.
"Only MTT Resort and the CORE remain. We're all gonna meet up with you in the CORE, so don't worry," Alphys smirked at me.
"Got it," I smiled at her as we then went up some stairs to the next area and I saw the ice cream guy from before and saw that he had the widest smile on his face.
"Oh, hello there? Aren't you that human that's now in the body of the Prince?" the ice cream guy asked.
"Yep, me and the Prince are one in the same right now. So, how's the business?" I smirked at him.
"Business boomed the moment I set up shop here! It was so good, in fact, I sold out of all the Nice Cream I had! And just as I promised, here, half of the earnings to my business partner," the ice cream guy said happily as he gave me and Asriel 1000 gold to work with.
"Thanks, bud! And I'm glad you were able to have such success," I smiled at him.
"And thank you, human dude! I'm sure that the king'll love ya!" he smirked at us.
"Agreed," I smiled as we then went forward, wondering how we'd be able to handle meeting up with everyone else.
