Maul stood there staring at Rex and Ahsoka. "How did you get out?" Rex asked ready to fire on Maul if he tried anything.

"Hmm normally I would engage in such conversations, however, we are fugitives and it would seem we must work together to escape, and frankly there is no time," replied Maul in his sinister voice.

"I reluctantly agree," said Ahsoka "We don't have time for this, so this is our best bet. Rex is going to find us a ship out of here, and I'm going to blow the hyperdrive."

"In order to successfully escape with the ship after the cruiser drops out of hyperspace you will need control of the hangar bay doors. I will go and thus create a distraction," replied Maul as he walked off.

"Good luck," said Rex to Ahsoka. She nodded as if saying it back. As Ahsoka ran off to the engine room she stopped as she heard some clones passing by. "Maul has been sighted, but he may be on Level 5 or 6 now sir." said one of them, "Direct your troops there, we need to deliver Maul to Coruscant," replied Jesse on the comm.

As Ahsoka arrived at the engine room, she prepped the charges she had stolen before with Rex. and scattered them across the entire room, not just on the hyperdrive. "Might as well give them something else to think about rather than us." Ahsoka primed the detonator to explode whenever she pressed the switch.

Meanwhile, in the hangar, Rex had managed to sneak in where no one would see him. He was looking for possible ships they could take.

Rex was scouting out a ship to steal. "We need something fast and with weapons, in case we're chased." Rex continued to sneak around the hangar until he was hidden behind some containers that were around an ARC-170 starfighter. The clone commander ran to the other side of the starfighter behind another pile of crates. Rex pulled down the scope on his helmet to turn on thermal vision. "Okay," whispered Rex to himself, "three troopers on the other side of the starfighter, two in front and..," Rex was interrupted when he turned to his left and saw a trooper through the thermal scanner, about to walk up behind him from the other side of the crate.

Rex stealthily tripped the trooper, and caught him so as not to alarm the other clones, and choked him so that he would quietly pass out but not enough to kill him. Rex then sneaked around to right next to the starfighter, leaned up against it. Rex saw the three clones, still with his thermal scanner active, and turned his scanner back up. The commander set his pistols to stun and barrel-rolled to the other side of the starfighter and quickly stunned all 3 clones. The last two clones that were in the front, ran to see what the noise was, only to find three stunned troopers and no sign as to who stunned them.

Commander Rex emerges, with his helmet removed, from some crates that were behind the troopers, "I'm sorry, brothers," said Rex as he stuns both troopers. "Ahsoka where are you?" said Rex on his ComLink, "getting to your position now," replied Ahsoka. Rex searched the fighter for the tracking beacon and ripped it out.

"Stop right there, Commander, you're under arrest!" Rex turned to the source of the voice, only to find an ARC Trooper whom Rex had fought alongside for so long, and clones that no longer had their orange paint job but went back to the blue stripes of the 501st. "Drop your pistols, Rex!" shouted Jesse.

At that moment, Rex's ComLink flashed indicating that Ahsoka is blowing the charges. The ship rumbled, the Venator dropped out of hyperspace, and Jesse and his clones lost their balance. "Jesse you may be an ARC Trooper, but experience always outranks everything."

Then, suddenly, 2 thermal detonators dropped around the clones, who in reaction jumped out of the way, as the detonators exploded. Ahsoka dropped down and used the Force to push the remaining clones away. "Maul! the doors!" Ahsoka looked over at the control room overlooking the massive hangar and saw clones flying out of the window and being strangled. "Go!" said Maul as he jumped out of the control room and quickly manned a nearby Z-95 Headhunter.

The massive hangar doors started opening, Ahsoka and Rex jumped into the ARC-170 and prepped for launch, as debris fell from the ceiling of the hangar, as the ship was collapsing around them. "Sir, the ship is falling apart we need to get out of here, now!" said a clone to Jesse, as he helped the ARC Trooper to the escape pods.

Maul took off and exited the ship in the Z-95 while Ahsoka and Rex exited after him. A massive 'boom' could be heard and it was the Venator exploding behind them. Jesse and the troopers that managed to get out were in escape pods, waiting to be rescued. "Sir, all surviving units report not seeing them escape," Jesse said in a very serious tone, "Then mission accomplished brothers, the Jedi has been dealt with."

A hologram appears in both cockpits of Rex and Ahsoka's ARC-170, "This is where we go our separate ways, Lady Tano," said Maul over the comm in a very sinister tone.

As the hologram disappears, so does Maul's fighter as it enters hyperspace.

"So what now?" asks Rex. "We need to try and contact any survivors," replied Ahsoka.

"What if they trace the call?"

"I know an old Jedi emergency code that can't be traced," Ahsoka then attempts to make contact. "Emergency code 913, can anyone hear me?"

The holoprojector makes a static sound and someone can be heard speaking through but it is unintelligible.

"Hello, can you hear us?" said Rex

"Th-This is Senator Bail Organa, I understand you need help. Please come to these coordinates, I have people here who would like to see you..."
