Chapter 2: The Minisaurus Plain

After passing through the magic door, Rayman found himself near a small waterfall, with a baby Globox in front of him, and Murfy appeared in front of him.

''Hey, Rayman! It's me, Murfy! Your favorite instructor.'' he called.

''Hi, Murfy. What is it?'' Rayman asked.

''Can you swim?'' Murfy asked.

''No, I'm a very bad swimmer.'' replied the hero. ''Why do you ask me that?''

''I came here to check out your first swimming lesson. This little one will show you the basic moves. Dive in and try to follow him!'' Murfy said.

Before diving, Rayman caught three Yellow Lums above the small waterfall. The baby Globox kicked with his arms and legs, and Rayman followed his movements, learning to not shake his hands and feet too much to avoid the risk of drowning. Then, he dived underwater.

''So far you are doing well! If you need air, collect Blue Lums or place yourself near air bubbles. Blue Lums are full of oxygen, they will be useful to you underwater.'' Murfy said.

At the other side, the greenbottle trained Rayman to shoot a scarecrow, then told him that the Teensie Circle was on the other side of the bridge, near the East Plain.

''Hey, you're learning quickly! There are thirty Yellow Lums in the Minisaurus Plain area. Warning: sometimes, you won't be able to take everything right away because there you lack an upgrade or a skill.'' he said, before leaving.

Rayman met another little Globox, who told him that the pirates had driven the minisaurus crazy.

''They are usually very peaceful animals, but now, they started eating butterflies and chase away any intruders. Watch out! They might attack you.'' the little one explained.

Crossing the bridge to the left, Rayman picked four Yellow Lums, but was ambushed by four pirates, two green ones and two purple ones.

''Oops!''

He prepared to fight, but there was no need: Clark the giant arrived and smashed the pirates with one punch.

''Thanks, Clark! Without you, the pirates would have captured me again.'' he told Clark.

''Don't mention it, kid. Wasting pirates is good for my joints.'' replied the giant.

Just then, a purple pirate watched them from behind a tree, and Clark chased after him. Rayman went up and found the Stone Circle, where the Grand Minimus awaited him.

''Well done, Rayman! You have found our circle! You're really good!'' he greeted him.

''Thanks. Do you know where Globox and Ly are imprisoned?'' Rayman asked.

''I don't know where they took Globox, but I do know Ly is being held captive not far from here. Once you cross the bridge, approach the waterfall and you will find a passage that leads to the Fairy Glade. The pirates have imprisoned Ly in a fortress that you will find by exploring the place.'' the Teensie explained.

''Okay, I'll go check it out.'' Rayman said.

Examining the nearby trees, he found five Yellow lums, two more underwater, three more nearby, and two more near the passage leading to Fairy Glade after crossing the bridge. Without hesitation, he entered.

Collected lums: 20/30, total: 25/1000

A/N: Well, this is the first world leading to the various areas. A short chapter, but that's to be expected, as not much happens when you first arrive here. In the remake, this system is used. In the next chapter, we will see the first real level: the Fairy Glade. See you next part!
