A/N: Hey, guys. In the last chapter, Rayman got the Mask of Water, the first of Polokus' four masks. However, he lost track of Clark when the giant opened a passage for him.

Chapter 6: The Menhir Hills

''Clark! Clark, where are you?!'' shouted Rayman, who was calling for Clark, of whom he had lost track. After crossing some suspended bridges, he found the Stone Circle, where the Grand Minimus was waiting for him.

''Welcome, Rayman! Clark told us you'd get here.'' he said.

''Speaking of Clark, he left me behind and I can't find him. Do you know where he is?'' asked Rayman.

''Clark went to the Menhir Hills to tear up some pirates. Catch up to him.''

Rayman went through a passage that directed him to a wooden house on a tree, with a well nearby.

There's no doubt about it, that's Globox's house." he thought. Nearby, he heard the crying of some of the Baby Globoxes, and Uglette was there too.

''Rayman! My Globox has been captured! I beg you to go and free him!'' she said, clearly distraught.

''Don't worry, Uglette, I will save your husband. Just be patient, okay?'' replied the hero, to try to console her.

Rayman went back and saw a sign with an arrow, which said: ''This way to the Menhir Hills'' and entered. He saw some brambles blocking the road, and then Murfy flew in front of him.

''Hey! Be careful!'' he shouted.

''What's going on, Murfy?'' asked Rayman.

''This place is guarded by a walking missile! If it sees you, it will chase you for a few seconds, but if you tire it, you may tame it.'' explained the greenbottle.

''Thanks for the tip, always know what to tell me.'' Rayman bowed.

''No problem! Anyway, at Menhir Hills, you must find 50 Yellow Lums and save eight Familiar spirits.''

Rayman was chased by the missile, which was yellow with a pirate symbol, with a brown tip and legs, but first, he hit a switch with his Magic Fist and took two Yellow Lums, then dropped into a trap door between three menhirs, where he found five more Lums and he saved the first Familiar spirit, then he left himself being chased, causing the missile to get tired, and jumped on it, riding it like a horse.

''Bravo! You succeded in taming the missile! It will be useful for you to explore this area, and you can find it elsewhere as well. If you're too close to a door, you have to get off before you, or you'll explode, but be careful: you cannot jump off the missile if you go too fast.'' said Murfy.

The missile advanced on the other side of the brambles and Rayman jumped down, allowing it to destroy a door and finding two Lums and a cage in which he saved the second Familiar spirit, which together with the others, powered up him. He was in front of a pirate building, and he read a sign with Razorbeard's handwriting: ''Military Academy of the Robo-Pirates. Please respect the concentration of the students with the utmost silence.'' He entered and was attacked by four Pirate-robots, two green ones and two purple ones, who shot and hit him a few times, but it didn't matter much, since Rayman felt better after collecting the Red Lums. He then took a Yellow Lum and went into the room to the left, where he took four more Lums and saved the third Familiar spirit, then saw a passage and fell.

Yellow Lums found: 14/50, total 226/1000

Saved Familiar spirits: 3/8, total 21/80

Rayman went down a staircase and found himself in the back garden of the Military Academy. He saw a pink mushroom and jumped on it, making him bounce and allowing him to climb the nearby tree, then he clung to a Purple Lum, taking two Yellow Lums and saving the fourth Familiar spirit, then tamed a missile and passed the brambles, but another missile chased him, and he had to accelerate to avoid the collision, but taking ten Yellow Lums, then he passed a door about to close and knocked down another. Before continuing, he went to the left and saw a barrel, a torch and a bramble cliff.

''I wonder what happens if you keep the barrel next to that torch.'' said Murfy.

Rayman did just taht, and he felt himself lifted off the ground: he was flying with the barrel! He passed the brambles, but immediately let go of the barrel, finding two Yellow Lums and saving the fifth Familiar spirit, then went back.

''What the heck just happened?!'' exclaimed Rayman, shocked by what had happened.

''Those barrels are full of gunpowder, and if they interact with the fire, they light up, making you fly away until you let go.'' Murfy explained.

Rayman took a Yellow Lum, defeated a green pirate and fired a switch, opening a door. He also read another sign with Razorbeard's writing, on which was written: ''Elite troops training center. Danger!'', then entered and went down the stairs, finding several pieces of pirates scattered all over the place, including one next to a large figure that he recognized: it was Clark.

''Clark! I finally found you! So it was you who wiped out all these pirates. Only twenty pirates against you? They didn't stand a chance!'' he exclaimed.

''Hello, little buddy! Do you want to arm wrestle?'' asked Clark, but he was clearly weakened.

''Hey, you don't look so good. Are you hurt?'' asked the limbless hero, worried about his friend.

''I must have swallowed something bad for me while fighting the pirates. Probably one of their mechanical components ended up in my mouth, and you know I have a sensitive stomach.'' Replied the giant.

Rayman was shocked. He could not believe what he had heard: because of his sensitive stomach, Clark is ill, and is in danger of dying.

''What?! No, you can't die like this! Is there any way I can cure you?'' he asked, shocked.

''Yes, there is a cure. To get better, I need the Elixir of Life. It is hidden in the Marshes of Awakening, in a place known as the Cave of Bad Dreams, guarded by a certain Jano. Don't forget the name, otherwise he won't let you in.'' explained Clark.

''The Cave of Bad Dreams? I won't forget it. All right Clark, I'm going to the mashes and get the Elixir. Hold on!'' said Rayman, who hurriedly left by taking a spiral door.

"Thanks, little buddy." said Clark.

Yellow Lums found: 30/50, total 242/1000

Saved Familiar spirits: 5/8, total 23/80

Through the spiral door, Rayman returned to the Stone Circle of the Globox House.

''Bad news. I found Clark, but he got sick after ingesting a mechanical part of the Robo-Pirates, and now he is in danger of dying. I have to find the Elixir of Life to heal him, and to do it, I have to go through the Marshes of Awakening.'' he explained to the Grand Minimus.

''Oh, no, that's not good at all. Go back to the Minisaurus Plain, the Marshes of Awakening are there.'' said the Teensie.

The limbless hero thus took the magic door, ready to save a friend.

A/N: Oh, dear. Just now that Rayman has found Clark, he finds out that he has fallen ill and must find the Elixir of Life to cure him. Will he make it? Find out in the next chapters!
