The light of the morning, the late morning, had flown in through the windows like beams of concentrated heat casting it's warmth against the faces of one Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. It didn't seem to bother the Uchiha heiress however it stirred the blond from his sleep. Eyes fluttered open and blue orbs stared at the sea of ebony. He had the Uchiha woman in his arms, her body against his. He didn't remember much from the night before besides seeing the girl wrap his wrists…

He had cut his wrists. He was trying to make the pain go away. It was still his birthday too but if it was morning now, or at least the sun was out then it meant Iruka, Kakashi or one of the other members from the genin teams may stop by at some point. Moving as slow as he could without waking the woman currently in his arms, he failed right as his hand was getting free of the shoulder laid upon his body. Of course she had flopped to the side, her hair cast over her face and forehead. She seemed almost sullen and angelic lying their..in his shirt. Her onyx eyes stared up at him, like the coals of a snowman's head. They were mesmerizing and he had almost forgotten she was in his bed, had been asleep with him and was currently in his clothing.

"It is all you had to wear dobe. I just hate that it is orange, may end up burning this if is what I have to go home wearing. How can you not have anything else besides orange clothes?"

Despite her breaking the quiet and tension,he just stared before the sound of knocking on the window broke him from the awkward silence. Sasuke jumped a bit as well, sitting up quickly as the blankets were tossed aside. Naruto's eyes cast to her pale thighs since she was in nothing but a pair of short sleeping shorts and his shirt. A blush came to his features and he looked down at his own person to realize he was only in his boxers and an orange tank top with spirals on it. Naruto blushed further but had no further time to think about it as another tap on the window had him turn and cast the moth eaten curtains aside to reveal Kakashi sitting on a lamp post that was just outside his window. Opening the window, Naruto allowed his sensei inside.

"Morning Naruto. I am happy to see you back from your mission.

You forgot to check in."

Rubbing the back of his neck, the yellow haired boy quickly gave a nervous laugh even as the water in the bathroom began running. Naruto could see Kakashi's lone eye dart to the bathroom and the bandaged wrist of his.

"Sasuke uh, came over to wish me a happy birthday."

Dragging his wrist back down and behind his back to avoid the line of sight of his sensei, Naruto smiled the same fake smile he had always worn when attempting to hide anything. Of course he hadn't known what Kakashi had already deduced.

'I was too tired last night I must have just missed the shift change at the gate. I'll go check in after breakfast, Sorry you had to come all this was Kakashi-sensei."

The man just gave his infamous eye smile before he reached into the pouch on his side where he kept his usual smut, but instead of the book he brought out a box with blue wrapping paper and an orange bow on it with orange twine creating a partial wrap around the box as well in the shape of a plus. He held it out to the boy with his eye smile still visible.

"I also brought you a gift Naruto. I wouldn't forget it was your birthday."

Naruto's smile change from a fake one to a genuine one. He went to grab the gift from Kakashi bit as soon as his fingertips touched the wrapped gift, Kakashi had hold of his arm and was removing the bandage.

"S-Sensei?! It's just a mission injury. I got it on my way back!"

The boy sounded scared because he didn't want anyone to find out about the cuts. Kakashi of course didn't buy it and tossed the gauze and wrapping aside to reveal the truth, the cuts that had only begun scabbing over. Once he saw them, he let the boy go with the gift in his hand looked terrified and of course Kakashi felt a bit bad about how he went about it now but he had to know.

"Naruto...I know this is a rough time of year for you but this isn't the answer. I won't have this happen again. You need to go see Tsunade and explain that to her. If you need to get a psych evaluation too then so be it. You also have a team to talk to. I'm your sensei and I need to know if something is bothering you.

If I see any more cuts or wounds like that, I'll have no choice but to tell the Hokage myself and have you put under suicide watch. Understand.

Kakashi left the same way he came in but his voice sounded a bit callous and disappointed with Naruto. The door to the bathroom opened and Sasuke was drying her hair off with a towel before she saw Naruto with the box in hand and tears spilling from his eyes.

"Naruto?

He knows doesn't he?"

Naruto nodded and he turned to Sasuke after dropping the box to the floor. Naruto didn't have too much an issue with Sasuke knowing, seeing as how she was the one who found them and bandaged him up but it was how Kakashi found out on top of the way he sounded. It stung a lot.

"He...He sounded upset, disappointed with me. He said if it happened anymore that...he will have me put away.

He... brought me a gift for my birthday."

Naruto wanted to toss it aside as well as throw it away; he also wanted to change the subject. Reaching down, Naruto picked the gift back up off the floor and looked at it. It looked about the size of a small book, close to the Icha Icha books Kakashi was always reading. His hands began undoing the orange bow and twine, both falling to the floor without caution. His nails scratched at the blue paper and that too joined the twine and bow on the floor of his bedroom. A small book remained, just as Naruto thought it may be. It did bring a small smile to his face though. It was a copy of the book Kakashi had, but on it's cover was a note.

Naruto flipped through a few pages and began reading a paragraph.

Sasuke rolled her eyes as she saw the book but in her mind she did smile a bit. She had always thought it would be nice to read the book, see why it was popular. She grabbed the book from his hands, setting it aside before she hugged her boyfriend.

"It's going to be okay Naruto. You're my dobe and I won't let anything happen to you. Now-"

She let out a loud gasp and an 'eep' before Naruto walked past her into the bathroom without a word. He had gotten an erection from the scene he was reading and she had felt it, just like he had.

"Dobe...I'm..gonna wait in the living room for you. We still have to clean the rest of your apartment."

They both felt so embarrassed by it; Naruto felt embarrassed because this had been the first time in the presence of her that he had gotten one she knew of. Sasuke was embarrassed because she had to dress him before they went to bed and had accidentally touched it when dressing him, she had seen it also.
