It was an ordinary summer afternoon when a seven year old Eiji Hyoudou could be found playing in a sandbox at the local park.

Suddenly a little girl with light silver hair and ruby colored eyes approached him from behind and asked: "Hey can I play with you? Nobody wants to play with me cause the other kids think my silver hair and red eyes are scary."

The young Eiji then responded: "Sure!"

As the two played Eiji couldn't help but ask: "Why do other kids think your hair and eyes are scary? I think your hair is pretty it's so silky... and your eyes their like shining rubies so beautiful."

Hearing the compliment the silver haired little girl couldn't help but Blush.

Summing up some courage she asked for the boy's name.

The Silver Haired Girl: "Um... what's your name?"

Eiji happily replied: "Eiji!... Eiji Hyoudou!"

The silver haired girl smiled and introduced herself as well: "I'm Vilia... Vilia Luci... Vilia Lucy! Yeah that's my name."

Eiji tilted his head in confusion: "Ok?..."

Eiji then asked: "Hey Vilia is your house close by?"

Vilia shook her adorable little head and said: "Me and my Nii-sama are only staying at a family friend's house for the summer."

Hearing this Eiji became sad: "Ehhh?... Does that mean you'll be leaving when summer ends?... And here I thought we could be friends."

Seeing Eiji become sad Vilia quickly replied: "U-Um how about we come to the park everyday and play together until the day I leave?"

Eiji then turned to Vilia with shining eyes: "Really? You'll really come to the park everyday to play with me?"

Vilia happily replied: "Yeah!"

And with that the two kids proceeded to meet each other at the park everday and happily played together until the sun went down. This resulted in the two children becoming the best of friends.

It was a happy summer for the two of them but then the day of parting finally came.

Vilia cried: "WAAAAA! I don't wanna leave Ei-chan! I wanna stay here and play with you forever!"

With the same teary eyes Eiji immediately consoled her: "Don't worry Vi-chan w-when I grow up I'll definitely look for you!"

Wiping the tears from her face Vilia said: "R-Really? You'll look for me?"

With a heavy nod Eiji replied: "Yeah!"

Vilia: "D-Do you pinky promise?"

Eiji smiled and said: "Yeah I pinky promise!"

And with that simple pinky promise the two children separated.

As Vilia was running home woth tears in her eyes Eiji waved at her and said: "Vi-chan I swear I'll come find you! I promise!"

Wiping away her tears once again Vilia nodded: "Um!"

...

"Ugh!" Waking up in the present day Eiji found himself in an empty classroom. Based on the time it seemed to be lunch time.

He then put his hand on his forehead and muttered: "That dream again huh... I wonder how she's doing..."

Koneko then approached him from behind and said: "You woke up by yourself huh... That's new."

Eiji turned around and asked: "Ah? Toujou-san what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be having lunch? Don't tell me you just came here to wake me up?"

Koneko blushed then said: "Actually I came to ask if you could help me with some math problems I've been having trouble with. Given that your always acing them in all."

Eiji tilted his head in confusion as to why she blushed then aswered: "Sure no problem."

Seeinng this Eviana who was floating in the corner sighed: "Still so dense huh..."

As Eiji and Koneko were about to leave the room a girl with reddish brown hair and brown eyes suddenly entered.

She then asked: "Excuse me is Eiji Hyoudou here?"

Seeing her and sensing her aura Eiji immediately thought: "Another devil?"

Eiji then approached her and said: "Yes I'm Eiji Hyoudou can I help you with something?"

The girl then replied: "Oh good afternoon! My name is Tomoe Meguri I'm a member of the student council. The president has asked to see you. Would you please come with me?"

Eiji was surprised upon hearing this.

Eviana had after all informed him of the student council president's true status. She was using the alias of Souna Shitori but her true identity was actually Sona Sitri heiress to one of the 72 devil clans the Sitri clan, as well as being the younger sister of one of the Four Great Satans Serafall Leviathan.

Hearing what Tomoe just said Eviana's eyes turned sharp: "Hmm... Why would Sona Sitri want to suddenly talk to a new student like you? Could it be that she was able to sense some of your power? I highly doubt that there's no way she could've seen through you not when your Origin Energy is hiding your powers... So then why I wonder?"

Eiji mentally replied: "We'll find out once we talk to her."

Seeing this Koneko sighed: "Well looks like your busy I'll ask you again next time."

Eiji smiled saying: "Yeah I'll help when I get back Toujou-san."

Koneko smiled and nodded.

Eiji then replied to Tomoe: "Ok please lead the way."

Within the 3rd year student's hallway two beautiful ladies could be seen walking together. One girl had black hair while the other had crimson.

Akeno asked Rias: "Rias are you sure your not planning on inviting Issei Hyoudou today? You've pretty much confirmed he has a sacred gear right?"

Rias shook her head: "No his body should still be pretty exhausted from awakening his sacred gear. I'll wait a few more days when his body fully recovers before I ask him to join my peerage."

Akeno nodded: "As you wish... my Master."

Eiji having overheared the conversation using Eviana's ability sighed in relief and thought: "Well at least they won't be bothering Nii-san for a few days."

Tomoe then said: "We've arrived."

Opening the door Tomoe said to Eiji: "Please Enter."

When EIji entered he saw two girls standing at the center of the large room. It seems that the other members of the student council were already having lunch.

One was a bespectacled girl with a slim figure, black hair styled in a short bob cut and violet eyes. She is none-other than the current student council President kuoh academy and the heiress to the Sitri Clan, Souna Shitori!

Beside her was another bespectacled girl. This one had long straight black hair that extends all the way down to her knees, with split bangs and light brown eyes. She is the Vice-President of kuoh's Student Council, Tsubaki Shinra!

Sona smiled and said: "Hello it's nice to finally meet you Mister Eiji Hyoudou I am Kuoh's Student Council President Souna Shitori and this beside me is the Vice-President Tsubaki Shinra."

Tsubaki nodded: "Hello."

Seeing them so polite Eiji was somewhat nervous: "Yes hello Kaichou and Fuku Kaichou it's nice to meet you too."

Tomoe then said: "Um sorry to interrupt but um Kaichou... Can I go have lunch now?"

Sona nodded: "Yes you may go now Tomoe, thank you for the help."

Tomoe smiled: "Anytime!"

After that Tomoe then stepped out of the room, leaving only Sona, Tsubaki and Eiji in the room.

Eiji then asked: "Um Kaichou you wanted to talk to me about something?"

Sona: "Ah yes I did..."

Eviana: "Now we finally get to see what they want."

Sona then picked up the papers on top of her desk and said: "These are the complaints that the teachers have submitted to me regarding your behavior in class."

Eiji tilted his head in confusion: "My behavior in class?"

Eviana facepalmed: "I think I know what this is about."

Sona nodded: "Yes your tendency to sleep in class during their lectures."

Tsubaki: "The problem is the fact that you have been able to maintain top scores despite always sleeping in class. This has resulted in some students copying your actions under the thought of 'It's ok to sleep in class as long as I can maintain good grades.' Creating a bad influence among the student body. Some of the students have even given you the nickname 'The Sleeping Scholar'."

Eiji's lip twitched upon hearing what this was really about.

Eiji(Cold Sweat): "T-There was actually such a situation. I-I had no idea."

Fixing her glasses Sona then said: "Another issue is since you have been able to maintain top grades while sleeping in class the teachers felt that it was unnecessary to rebuke you and instead asked us to talk to you."

Eiji then replied: "I-I see I'll try to stop sleeping in class from now on. Sorry for the trouble Kaichou."

Sona replied: "I see well if you can truly keep that promise we won't bring this matter up with you anymore. You may go back now."

EIji bowed and said: "Thank you Kaichou."

Just as Eiji was about to exit the room he suddenly noticed a chess board by the side of the room and his eyes showed interest.

Seeing his reaction Sona smiled and asked: "Do you play chess?"

Eiji replied: "Uh... Yes occassionally."

Sona asked: "Would you like to play a game or do you have plans for your lunch?"

Eiji: "Uh no not really I had a big breakfast."

Sona smiled: "Perfect! Let's play."

Tsubaki opened her mouth planning to say something but then decided not to.

It was at this moment that Eiji remembered: "Oh yeah I promised Toujou-san that I would help her with her math problems. Guess I'll help her after lunch."

A few minutes later...

Both Sona and Tsubaki's faces were filled with absolute shock at what they just witnessed. Every move that Sona made was perfectly countered by Eiji eventually leading to his overwhelming victory.

Little did they know that whenever Eiji and Eviana would play chess, Eviana would always use the chess strategies from the information she's gathered not only from the entire world but also from what she's gathered about the three factions. And among these are the strategies Sona Sitri used during every chess competition she's participated in. Eviana with the mind of a super computer was not only able to fuse some of these strategies to create new ones but she was also able to point out every single weaknesses these strategies had. Naturally Eviana thought Eiji everything she had learned from these informations. Allowing Eiji to easily anticipate every move that Sona would make.

Eiji thought: "It's weird... It's as if she's using the same strategies as Eviana during our first few games."

Eviana: "..."

Waking up from her shock Sona looked at Eiji and asked: "U-Um best two out of three?"

Eiji nodded: "Sure."

A few minutes later...

Looking at the chess board Sona thought: "Once again it's my... Total Defeat?!"

Seeing Sona lose once again Tsubaki had turned compltely speechless. Must know that Sona was known as the legendary undefeated queen of the entire Chess Masters Community. To see her simply lose twice like this was nothing short of shocking.

At this point Sona was already shaking in disbelief. She gazed at Eiji looking like a woman on a mission, this on the other hand had completely frightened the young freshman to the point that he was already sweating bullets.

"U-Um" Eiji had wanted to say something to break the tense atmosphere but was immediately interrupted by Sona.

With eyes full of determination Sona said in an icy cold tone: "ONE!... MORE!... GAME!"

Feeling the chill from Sona's voice Eiji replied: "Y-Yes Kaichou..."

Seeing the situation Tsubaki felt as if cold sweat was running down her back.

Must know that as a Heiress to one of the 72 clans Sona Sitri already had an arranged marriage prepared for her even before her birth. Not willing to be forced into a marriage she herself did not agree upon, Sona immediately tried to talk to her parents in cancelling the engagement.

After the discussion Sona managed to successfully convince them in cancelling the engagement. She also managed to convince them that her future fiance must first satisfy several conditions before formally being engaged to her. One of these conditions was to prove that he could be smarter than her, by defeating her in chess three time consecutively. As of now Eiji had defeated Sona twice which means if he wins one more time...

Tsubaki thought: "If Hyoudou-kun wins one more time then... Will Sona be able to accept it?"

Another several minutes later...

Eiji was looking at the chees board not knowing what to do. He was only a few moves away from winning the game again and yet looking at Sona he felt as if a great disaster would befall him once he does win.

Feeling as though he was in a bind he immediately telepathecally spoke to Eviana: "Hey Eviana help me out here, I don't know what to do! It feels like something really bad might happen if I beat Kaichou again!"

Since both Eiji and Eviana originated from the same universe they can converse through telepathy using Origin Energy.

Eviana thought for a moment and said: "There seems to be a reason as to why she's acting like this... Wait I'll gather more information try to stall for time."

And with that Eviana disappeared in a flash of light, leaving Eiji with a menacing looking Student Council President.

Sona said with a dark chilly voice: "What's wrong? Aren't you gonna make your move Hyoudou-kun?"

Eiji nervously replid: "I-I-I need some time to think K-K-Kaichou."

Sona showed a dark smile and said: "Oh... Take all the time you need Hyoudou-kun."

After a few minutes Eviana finally returned and immediately: "I understand the situation now... I know why she's like this!"

Hearing her words Eiji telepathecally responded: "Really? Hurry tell me why! I feel like she's about to devour my soul with her eyes."
