Chapter two - meetings
"Haaaa you ever going to stop reading that book zuko" said a man with white hair likely because of old age said man at the moment was holding a cup of tea but stopped for a moment to address who we now know as zuko. at the other end of where said man was sitting sat a 15 year zuko who was currently reading a book without any expression on his face and didn't even look like he heard anything in fact the only confirmation iroh got that zuko heard him was zuko removing his eyes from the book for a moment to look at him in acknowledgement and then back at the book. 'sigh' iroh could only sigh before at least he would have taken his time to reply with a yes, no, hn, or just simply nod and shake his head but now he only glances at the person to confirm that he heard "haaaa you know zuko you can't just spend your time reading especially a book you have read for like the hundred of time since we started this journey there is a lot more to an adventure than reading like getting ladies drinking tea 'especially drinking tea' eating new foods meeting new people discovering new places you know even though we are technically looking for someone it doesn't mean we can't have fun" again the only reply he got was zuko again glancing at him for a moment then back to the book again iroh sighed well at least the men that requested to follow me have gotten use to his silence knowing what he went through but still i mean he at least talk when it's really necessary like when he want's to say i don't want tea "hmmm i wonder why is it only when tea is involved he finds it necessary to talk" iroh thought making a depressed expression i mean even when the ship was attacked he just sat there letting his men handle it, it was only when a brave soul or an unfortunate one as we call it attacked him that he- no no that a story for another time a very bad one i almost felt sorry for the bandit but even if to everyone else or even if to zuko everything seems fine i see him drifting more and more away from humanity slowly but surely "i just hopes he one day finds something to hold onto before he completely drifts off" iroh thought and it was at that moment a light suddenly shot up towards the sky shining brightly upon everything as iroh glances at zuko slightly to see if he was looking and was happy to finally see him focusing on something other than the stupid book am not saying the book was bad but still and then the light finally died down as zuko got up and started walking back to his cabin saying in his usually emotionless voice "we are going towards the light at once get ready" all the men at first stood still because that was the first order zuko had ever given them and the way he sounded like he would have not taken no for an answer there blood froze but then they shouted at the top of their lungs "YES SIR!" and started cheering iroh could only smile saying to himself "you would have made a fine firelord"
Zuko...
A few minutes earlier
"...you know if i ever get out of this alive and my kids ask me why i like fishing alone i will tell them this is why"
" 'if' sokka 'if' " katara replied emphasizing the if
"and what's that suppose to mean don't talk like this wasn't your fault!"
"my fault! how"
"oh you know exactly what i mean if only you had kept your water magi-"
"it's not magic it's bend-"
"don't start with me do not start with me it's because of you i lost a fish"
"really sokka that's what your so angry about losing a fish over your sister"
"you have no ideal what that fish meant to me don't talk like you do how can you go fishing and come back empty handed that's not fishing that's technically sightseeing"
"i said sorry didn't i"
" 'sorry' sorry doesn't bring back the lost fish"
"oh come off it sokka don't talk like this isn't partly your fault for not listening"
" 'listening' listening to what! you ruining my daily fishing yeah your right maybe i should have"
"no listening to me when i said i caught a fish i was only trying to help"
" 'help' who asked you"
"no one bu-"
"exactly! I didn't ask for your help heck i didn't even need it i was fine on my own until you came around if only you had keep your stupid water magic or bending whatever you called it and your emotion in check we wouldn't be trapped in this ridiculous iceberg with no openings like how did we even get in here geez!"
"you know what sok-"
"here we go again"
"ugh that's it am tired of you arrogant melon head i was only trying to help you moron at least try to compliment me before putting your whole life misfortune on me you dick!"
suddenly the iceberg behind katara cracked sokka now very conscious of where there are tried to call out to her
"huh katara"
"shut up when am talking to you!" sokka immediately proceeds to shut up and listen
"I barely even know why i try when i know your ego is big enough to probably knock off the moon!" it cracked again but this time sokka was to afraid to say anything
"and yet you call yourself a warrior 'warrior' warrior my foot you don't deserve that title when all you do is complain about what you like and what you don't like so instead of being such a dick about it why don't you appreciate what i have done for you and am doing for you, you ASSHOLE!" and finally it broke which in turn sokka just sighed as the water proceeds to wash them away
2 minutes later
sokka sat down and sighed after the water washed them away he managed to grab one of the spiked edges and threw katara up and followed after and since unlike him she started shivering he proceeds to give her his coat and his now sitting in the middle of nowhere coatless cold and annoyed great
"this is why i said girl's were crazy"
"yo-you mean i did that"
"oh no not you i did"
"what?"
"exactly! 'sigh' though to be fair at least we are no longer trapped it's just to find our way home from here now but" sokka then proceeds to look around then said "how?"
katara having caught something odd in the distance started pulling on sokka's short sleeve to which sokka replied
"what"
"hmmm are you seeing that" she then proceeds to point at what she was talking about sokka looked towards where she was pointing only to see an iceberg and was it glowing? but then noticed what she meant someone was inside then he quickly got up and shouted
"someone is inside!" katara then followed after him and got up saying
"do you think we should help" sokka then looked like he was complementing it a stranger in a iceberg glowing
"no i think not"
"huh why not!" katara shouted to which he simply sighed and said
"seriously katara you see a stranger in a iceberg but not only that his frozen" "or she is" to which he ignored and continued
"maybe if it was in a iceberg like we where in i would have helped but no this is frozen and glowing not a good sigh and i would like to avoid the unexpect- KATARA! where are you going and wait where are you taking my CLUB too COME BACK HERE KATARA!"
katara had already reached her destination and started hitting the iceberg hoping the person wasn't dead yet with sokka still shouting at her to stop and was about to grab her when 'CRACK' it cracked and started going up and then came the blinding bright light and when it cleared there saw a girlish figure standing with shoulder length black hair with only a few strand of hair covering her face and a glowing white tattoo and eyes as she simply stared at them as if complementing if they were a threat or not sokka being the overprotective big brother he was put katara behind him and pointed his weapon towards the figure saying stay back until suddenly she stopped glowing and fell off to the ice katara immediately let go of sokka and ran up to her she didn't catch her but at least she stopped her from sliding anymore sokka being sokka stood at a good distance from them asking "she dead" to which katara gave him a look that promised all kinds of pain so he proceeds to shut up but that's when the girl started waking up and simply stared at her karata not knowing what to say just stared back untill the unknown girl said
"c-could you"
"what is it could i what"
"t-tell tell your perverted brother to stop staring at me it's inappropriate" she said turning to face sokka clearly displeased
"really that's it that's first thing that comes out of your mouth after being trapped in a iceberg for who knows how long" sokka replied clearly annoyed
"well i wouldn't have to if you would just keep your perverted eyes to yourself!"
they went on like that for a while until katara had enough and just picked both there heads and slammed it together then said
"you guys want to go on cause there's plenty more where that came from"
"NO MOM" said sokka and the unknown girl clearly terrified
"haaaa i swear this as been the most worst day of my life" karata said finally giving in to the tiredness of her feet to which sokka replied
"well that's you-"
"oh say it sokka i dear you say it" katara cut him off to which he proceeds to shut up which made the unknown girl there giggles while covering her mouth which in turn made sokka glare and katara finally realized they have been talking with stranger here the whole time then katara proceeds to ask
"what's your name and who are you, you don't seem like your from around here"
"oh my names anne but my friends calls me ana" said the unknown girl now known as anne
"oh then we will just call you ana-" katara was about to say but was cut off
"no call me anne i really hate the name ana" said the girl making a serious expression
"o...k" was all katara could say to that then sokka said
"so then ana" to which anne glared at him but he ignores and continued
"what are you doing in..." sokka then proceeded to look around once again then says
"the middle of nowhere" sokka finishes to which she made a thinking face and replied
"i actually have no idea" to which sokka made a expression that said he was not amuse
"oh come off it what do you expect me to do give you my address so you can later come along and rape me"
"w- whats that even suppose to mean and how can a girl your age say that with such a serious expression on your face"
"oh shut u- u- u- SHUT UP" she sneezes and proceeds to fly 20 fit in the air to which sokka had a blank look as he was completely confuse while katara just looked up at her as she was slowly landing
"what was that" sokka asked
"what?" she replied
"what do you mean what you just sneezed and flew 20 feet in the air"
"how is that surprising i thought you already knew by now"
"knew what" sokka asked
"that am an airbender" anne replied
"bender!" katara head finally picked up finally taking interest in what they were saying
"can you teach me" was katara immediate reply to which the girl looked confused then said
"hmmm i don't think you can teach water tribe airbending" to which katara shooked her head saying
"no i mean am a waterbender asking if you could teach me to bend properly"
"your a waterbender cool!" was the girls reply
"great great your a waterbender she's a airbender no one is happy about it but more importantly ho-" 'HMMMM' sokka stopped looked around then looked at the girls to see them looking at him clueless if it was anyone else they might have thought it was cute but come on this is sokka we are talking about not possible
"huh why did you stop sokka" katara asked
"what do you mean didn't you hear that"
"hear what" anne asked 'HMMMM'
"that" sokka said then anne's face shot up in realization as she shouted
"appa!"
"ap- what" sokka asked
"my flying sky bison"
"right and here is katara my flying sister"
"am serious come on you see" anne replied easily jumping over the wall of ice with sokka and katara going around it only for them to see anne holding onto something ridiculously big while laughing with the thing only addressing her with one eye open and sokka's only reply was
"what in the what"
"really sokka" was katara reply
"what do you mean really aren't you seeing that..." he paused for a moment when the thing glanced at him then katara then anne again then he whispered to katara
"thing"
"come on guys don't just stand there come say hello" anne finally said
"no am good" was sokka's simple reply
"oh come on stop being a big baby and just come along he won't bite i promise" anne said
"that coming from you i would rather not now excuse me cause am going back to where things make sense" sokka turned around took one step and stopped he then remembered they where in the middle of nowhere but before he could say anything katara asked
"things finally making sense to you sokka?" she said while smiling to which anne laughed and sokka glared at both of them and then sighed
"if you guys need a lift appa and i can give you a ride" anne said with her laughter finally dying down to which sokka's head immediately shot up saying
"no way we still don't know what that light just now was for all we know it was probably to signal the fire nation" the only response he got to that was anne looking at him unimpressed to which he facepalms the said
"fine do what you want see if i care" to which katara replied
"oh shut up sokka and come on" and proceeds to drag sokka towards the bison to which sokka sighed and anne smiled
Anne woke up to the sound of someone calling out to her
"hmmm who is it" she said while trying to rub the sleep off her eyes
"anne it's me katara we arrived and it's morning now"
"really i must have slept off i don't remember arriving" she then proceeds to look around then back at katara then said
"hope your perverted brother isn't behind you" to which katara simply smiled and said no then anne proceeds to put on her clothes properly and finally followed katara out to meet everyone and when she came out the first thing she noticed was sokka with her glider saying something along the lines of how do you even use this to fight to which she proceeded to run up to him and give him a flying kick which sent sokka to his supposedly watch tower as it fell apart on top him which in turn made him shot up shouting
"what was that for!"
"haven't you ever had to keep your hands off a woman things" anne simply replied smirking which in turn made katara facepalm as everyone was staring at them blankly
" 'woman' your barely older than the kids here" sokka replied which in turn made anne really mad as she was about to walk towards sokka's location to murder him probably but before she could katara grabbed her and turned her towards the villages saying
"anne this is entire village entire village this is anne" to which they moved back as if afraid of her which made anne confuse says
"something on my face katara?" but before katara could reply a old lady walked forward saying
"we thought the airbenders were extinct"
"extinct" anne says confuse but that's when katara said
"oh this is my grand mother" but then the old lady says
"call me gran gran" to which anne shouted
"GRAN GRAN" completely forgetting the extinct thing
but then the kids run up to her asking
"her what's that stick for" to which anne replied
"it's not a stick it's my glider I use it to fly" which made sokka snort and anne glare saying
"in fact I will show you come"
Time skip
"now men it's important that you show no fear when facing the fire nation in the water tribe we fight to the last my standing for without courage how can we call our self's men...the only reply he got was silence as anne from where she was watching replied
"I don't think they care"
"and how would you know!" sokka shouted
"i gotta pee" one kid replied then anne said
"see" to which sokka looked like he wanted to shout until katara showed up then said
"oh anne there you are gran gran as been looking for you"
"huh what for" anne said
"oh nothing she just didn't see you after you came in so she was worried"
"oh then you can tell her am here joking around with the kids tryna lighten up the mood before this moody bastard kills them with boredom"
" 'joking around' we don't have time to joke around with a war going on!" sokka shouted
"war what war" anne replied with an unimpressed face to which sokka had a blank look on his face as he said
"your joking right" anne looked like she wanted to say something but stopped as her eyes quickly lit up as she shouted
"penguin!" and in a moment was gone then sokka turned to katara then said
"she's joking right" to which katara merely sighed
Another time skip
"anne I don't think we should be in here" katara said to which anne replied
"come on it's ok what's the worst that can happen"
"with the war going and all I think plenty" katara said anne frowned slightly and turned then said
"there it is a again what war first your gran gran said she thought we were extinct which I assume she means aitbenders now you and sokka are saying something about a war if this is a joke then it's not a very good one please stop it" this caught katara off guard she didn't think she would get that mad she thought anne alreadly knew and was just messing around as usual but with the expression she was making she really didn't know which made katara confuse how was that possible and that's when katara realized something and asked
"anne how...long were you trapped in that iceberg"
"don't know couple of days or so" anne replied
"and what's todays date if I may ask" katara asked again
"hmmm odd question but it's 1832 right" katara had a shocked expression on her face as she said
"anne it's 1935 this year" anne simply looked at katara unimpressed thinking she was joking but when she saw katara's face she quickly abandoned that thought as katara added
"anne you were asleep for a hundred year's" to which anne only replied shaking her head muttering no it wasn't that long looking like was about to cry but then triped on something which set off an alarm and shot a signal into the air
"oh no" katara could only say
"come on" katara said dragging anne to which they but proceeded to run out of the ship heading towards the village
"Prince zuko there's no one here" the first soldier said
"but we are seeing signs of someone being here just recently" the second one replied
"well zuko what are your orders" iroh finally asked but it was at that moment the fire nation signal shot up towards the sky to which zuko simply looked around to address which soldier was missing but no one was so he simply looked at iroh and iroh said
"well zuko do you want to head towards the signal it might be a trap" but zuko just simply nodded a yes and walked off then iroh turned to the soldiers and ordered
"ready your weapons we are heading towards the signal"
"YES SIR!" they all replied
"THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" sokka shouted
"I SAID I WAS SORRY DIDN'T I" anne shouted back
" 'sorry' sorry doesn't fix this didn't you just see a fire nation ship is heading towards our direction and your saying sorry!"
"if i had known there was a war going on i wouldn't have entered the ship!" anne said
"WELL NOW YOU KNOW!" sokka replied
"that's enough sokka shouting won't solve anything all we can do now is find a way to counter the attack before it gets to late" katara finally interjected sokka simply sighed then said
"fine but she's helping"
"of cause liked i would sit around and watch" anne replied
"well come on we don't have much time"
Few hours later
"you remember the plan right" sokka asked anne to which she replied
"yes 'don't attack until there guard is down' but what's up with that makeup though"
"shut it! but still be careful we don't know what to expect" sokka replied
"what you worried" anne asked while smirking to which sokka replied with an unimpressed face
"no just don't want your dead body on my head"
"idiot" was anne only reply while sokka reply was
"whatever"
katara could only facepalm at them at picking the worst time to augur when they finally heard the ship it was close sokka quickly got up and told anne to stick to the plan to which she simply nodded
and finally it had arrived and opened up with a loud hit to the snow with sokka standing at the far end waiting for them to come out and they came which made every water tribe there blood freze but was surprised they didn't attack immediately but was instead forming a line? sokka thought and when they were done a old man walked out sokka assumed he was the leader because of his age and the way he carried himself but was surprised when he stopped at the left end of the line as if waiting for someone? and that's when he came out his raven black hair flowing behind him as he walked down slowly katara noted his face was to die for and blushed while sokka just frowned slightly while anne noted his eyes was unusually "red" she said to herself as he glanced around and caught her eyes but only looked away anne's blood froze he knew she was here what was the point of the plan anymore sokka had a shocked expression anne thought it was because sokka noticed he saw her and finally the unknown firebender stopped and that's when everyone noticed he had a dead expression on his face "he looks hollow" anne thought then he finally said
"where's the avatar"
everyone there gasped what did he mean the avatar have been missing for more than 100 years now everyone except anne since she gasped for a different reason which we all know but then sokka replied
"stop joking around we all know why your here why wait just attack am sure you already noticed what we were planning" all the water tribe blood froze once again what were they supposed to do now they thought to which zuko just simply sighed and then said
"am not going to hurt you just give me the avatar and we will leave at once"
everyone seemed surprise a firebender just said he won't hurt anyone but of cause sokka didn't believe him and simply said
"yeah right you won't besides there's no avatar here so your technically saying you would attack us either way" zuko just simply shook his head and looked down sokka saw that as a perfect time to attack and instantly moved while he was running towards him he noticed none of the people guarding him moved he thought it was a bad sign but simply shook it off and increased his speed and when he finally reached in front of him he swung his club down on zuko only for zuko to simply side step right making sokka lose his footing but he quickly caught himself and swung it once again to his left only for zuko to simply catch his hand gently at the same time noticed the girl he saw hiding behind the snow was gone but thought nothing off it as he threw sokka back to where he was standing everybody there had a shocked expression he easily beat sokka but sokka quickly recovered and instantly threw his trusty boomerang at zuko but zuko simply tilted his head left letting the weapon pass him and thought nothing of it again which made sokka smirked thinking "he wouldn't know what hit him" and as it came back and was about to hit him iroh's hands simply shot up to catch it and passed it to zuko to which zuko took and he casually threw it back to sokka to which sokka had a shocked expression as he thought "HE KNEW" zuko once again tried to say
"i mean you no har-" but stopped and glanced up only to see the unknown girl coming down with a staff in her hands and "BOOM" she landed with a force that made all the fire nation soldier expect zuko and his uncle move back as zuko stood his ground and when the snow finally cleared there stood the girl pointing her staff towards zuko with a slight frown on her face as zuko said slightly in surprise
"your the avatar?" which in turn made everyone there gasp in surprise again (damn this people really like gasping don't they) as katara tried to place everything together being asleep for hundred years an airbender flying bison then that light... wait the light katara thought as sokka finally came to the same conclusion "so that's what that light was the return of the avatar" sokka thought as anne shouted at zuko
"what's it to you" as zuko unintentionally said
"your... a...child" as anne immediately turned red and shouted
"DON'T TALK LIKE YOUR ANY OLDER THAN ME!" to which zuko quickly replied
"sorry" which again made everyone surprise "this guy never seizes to amaze us" sokka thought as zuko talked again
"if your the avatar i would like you to come with me" to which anne smiled and replied
"sorry not interested in a relationship" which in turn made everyone there sweat drop expect zuko who had the same expression on his face as he blinked once she thought it was cute but quickly shook that thought off then sokka finally replied and said
"i- i don't think that's what he meant" to which anne simply turned and smiled at him saying
"trust me i knew exactly what he meant but i don't want to sooo hmmm no thank you" zuko again sighed and tried to reason with her once again
"look i-" but was cut off as anne used her airbending to boost her speed and immediately appeared in front of zuko and swung her staff down towards zuko's right shoulder to which he side stepped left then right, left, right, left, right
"ugn he keeps dodging" to which she increased the speed of her staff spinning it in a circular fashion to everyone there it seemed to be making a X shape because of how fast it was moving but still zuko was blocking it moving his hand as fast to keep up and didn't seem to be letting up she was slightly surprised on how fast zuko was moving his hands but quickly shock it off and instantly jumped to the air and sent a right kick towards his head which he blocked with his left hand but since she added her bending in that kick it made zuko move ten feet away from her but she didn't let up using her bending to boost her speed once more appeared on top of zuko spinning used her right leg once more to kick down on zuko but he caught her leg and simply spurned her around in the air immediately grabbing her waist and pulled her close to him and held her waist tight saying
"look i don't want to hurt you just come with me"
"i already said am not interested in a relationship so stop touching me" she said as she slipped though his hands and jumped a far distance away from him as she said
"didn't your mother ever tell you to give girls there personal space" immediately she said that she noticed the atmosphere became hotter? but didn't know why so she shook it off iroh knowing why tried to stop him
"zu-" but he was already gone and appeared in front of anne with a flaming red fist anne being a airbender used her bending to boost her speed and jumped high easily dodging it but when see was above she finally noticed his flames 'red' and the only thing that could come out of her mouth was "beautiful" while the water tribe while some thought it was also beautiful some was afraid of this new flame red when they thought things couldn't get any worst but then zuko used his flames to boost his speed and appeared above her while bringing a flaming fist down at her which she quickly blocked with her staff but the impact made her fall straight to the ground with a loud 'THUD' then she quickly corrected
"yep beautiful but deadly" but zuko didn't stop there as he quickly followed up with another flaming fist but she quickly rolled out of the way which created a loud 'BOOM' and when the snow finally cleared anne saw zuko charging in his two palms another set of attack and shot at her which she quickly spurned her staff around to block the attack but then heard screaming and quickly looked back to see the flame head toward the water tribe people especially the kids and quickly shouted
"WAIT WAIT STOP I GIVE UP YOU CAN TAKE ME" to which the flames disappeared like it was never there she sighed and looked up to see zuko standing straight not looking like he would attack her again and then she added
"if i were to come with you though you have to promise not to hurt this people"
"promise" zuko simply said then she started walking towards him katara was about to say something but sokka stopped her putting his hand in front of her whispering something to her anne finally reached in front of zuko only for him to give her his hand anne thinking he meant to take his hand blushed and when she was about to bring up her hand to take his he simply said
"the staff" which made her blushed in embarrassment while sokka laughed and she quickly sent him a death glare which made him shut up while katara punched his hand for not taking this seriously and finally anne handed zuko the staff and they walked to the ship and zuko headed the staff to his uncle and said
"take that to my room and take her to..." he was about to say cell but stopped and said
"my room" to which she said while smirking
"ohhh want me that much" to which zuko simply walked off and his uncle smiled trying not to laugh and then she turned back to sokka and katara and waved not looking even a little bit scared.
"well this is his room i will keep this right here" he said while dropping the staff in a corner of the room then turned to address her then said
"you must forgive my nephew for his lack of social skill his not really a talkative person"
"hmmm for a fire nation soldier he seems nice and calm?" anne thought then replied
"oh don't worry i noticed and i don't mind not in the slightest"
"oh well then if you excuse me I will be back just need to get some tea want me to get you something anne simple shook her head as iroh simply said
"I will be back"
It as been a few minutes since then and anne wondered if she should leave now zuko hadn't come to his room no soldiers were roaming around but it was at that moment the door opened anne thinking it was iroh sat up straight only to see zuko enter and only glanced at her as he walked to the other side to room as if looking for something which made anne frown slightly
"sooo not gonna say anything to me" anne asked but he didn't reply still looking for whatever he was looking for which made anne even more angry but kept it inside as she said again
"is that how you treat a guest" to which zuko simply turned slightly as if looking at her but his eyes didn't reach her but he still didn't say anything which made her finally shout
"at least say something dummy what cat got your tongue" zuko final stood up finally finding what he was looking for a map started heading toward's the door which made anne at that moment feel like killing him but then he stopped and slightly turned to address her saying in his usually hollow voice
"your not here to make friends" and left which made anne throw a pillow at the door trying to control her anger but then the door opened again thinking it was zuko she picked another pillow ready to throw at him but instead saw iroh walk in which made her stop iroh surprised asked
"huh what happened" to which anne replied with
"ASK YOUR STUPID NEPHEW!" hoping that he heard her which he probably did but of course ignored iroh could only laugh slightly saying
"calm down calm down his not that bad" to which anne simply replied with
"oh yeah tell me one remotely nice thing he ever did" iroh simply smiled as he said
"well I have a few if your all ears" to which they proceeded to talk about zuko for a while
Time skip
"after that he came stumbling though the palace and when he finally reached where his mother was he looked her and said 'girls are the worst' completely forgetting the fact that she was also a girl" after that anne and iroh laughed loud seemly forgetting where there are but then a thought accord to anne if he were that carefree what happened? so she asked
"hey gramps if he was that carefree what happened" iroh looked shocked as if not expecting her to ask but then looked down saddened and replied
"am not sure you would want to know"
"ohh come on tell have come this far am not gonna stop until I find out" iroh simply sighed as he told her not everything but enough for her to easily guess the rest and then finally finished with
"soo then he swore he would find the avatar bring him or her to him and then...kill him" at this point anne seemed to be looking down while holding the tear in her eyes but then said
"as much as I hate the firelord after that and would even like to kill him that's still no reason to kill someone because after that then what and for that reason am not going" anne said as she got up cleaning the tears in her eyes iroh simply smiled then said
"even though your the avatar I doubt you could over come those demonic flames knowing that do you still want to go"
"yes and I wouldn't mind defeating you if you got in my way" replied with a serious expression iroh simply laughed then said
"then go avatar"
"wait you will just let me go just like that" anne asked surprised iroh simply replied with
"yes of course after all am to old for this" he said while laughing then immediately turned serious and added
"save zuko for me I will make sure no one stops you though you still have zuko to go though" iroh finished with a smile but anne simply replied with
"NO PROMBLEM!" and grabbed her staff and ran out
"good luck avatar and you know anne you will make a fine avatar one day" anne stopped for a while then turned and smiled and continued on when she finally reached outside she stopped and looked behind her to see zuko standing by the door seemly waiting for her she then smiled and said
"oh were you expecting me love~" zuko just simply stared at her with his usual blank expression and then she got serious and said
"zuko what ever your doing isn't worth it killing your father won't change anything it will just make you more empty inside"
"don't talk like you understand anything" was zuko's only reply
"ohh trust me I understand it all but you don't seem to understand if you do this you will be no different than the father you hate so much"
"he made me like this am only giving what he deserves" zuko replied again coldly anne simply sighed and shook her head then spoke again
"well then zuko I would like to ask without your father involved who are you and what do you want" this seemed to keep make zuko think not finding any answer he simply looked down but then there it was again the voice
"don't listen to her zuko she's just like the others she's clearly tryna protect the firelord so you just gonna let her say what she likes no right
"no" zuko replied
"right and what do we do to people that protects ozai"
"we kill them"
"good so what must you do to her"
"kill her" and finally zuko finally opened his eyes and anne immediately noticed something was wrong but couldn't react fast enough as zuko flames seemly moving like water reached her and grabbed her lifting her up she tried to shake it off her but it wouldn't let go of her this was bad she thought she was getting dizzy because of the heat and it seemed to be burning her slightly she needed to get away she thought but couldn't get loose it was at that moment katara and sokka came seemly shouting her name but she couldn't hear them she was losing consciousness and finally passed out but then heard a voice say
"you know anne you will make a great avatar one day"
and finally her eye's shot open seemly pure white as all the water in the ocean rose coming straight towards her surrounding zuko's flames and froze then broke which made her land slowly to the ground but then zuko appeared in front of her with his red flames surrounding his fist but before he could hit her she simply hit his hands away without effort then used her right hand to push zuko back easily with the water following and then held zuko to the metal wall and froze and when zuko to her seemed like he wouldn't make any sudden move she quickly used the water to rise seemly towards her bison as she reached there sokka and katara could only stare in awe at what they were seeing but suddenly her eyes turned back as she fell forward with sokka and katara catching her as appa flew away with zuko finally melting the ice he stood as he watched them go
"anne that water bending was amazing how did you do it" katara asked the sky was now dark as it was night time
"I...don't really know I just did" anne replied then sokka asked
"well why didn't you tell us you were the avatar"
"well maybe because I never really wanted to be" anne replied kept quiet for a while but then spoke up and said
"but you know what I don't care anymore in fact now am glad I am the avatar"
"huh and why is that" katara asked anne simply replied with a smile then said
"cause now I want to save someone" then sokka replied with while smirking
"huh who is it your boyfriend~" which in turn made anne hit him hard on the head with her staff with katara laughing at him as they flew to the air temple
