The straw that broke the camel's back didn't really have anything to do with the straw. It was a build up of many other things that made that final straw too much to bear; previous straw, temperature, hunger, dehydration, exhaustion... It all accumulated into one thoroughly broken camel that would never recover.

That was Izuku Midoriya's explanation for what finally made him snap that day. Bakugo had been bullying Izuku for years.

Constant abuse that he, in his opinion, did not deserve.

He would forever stand by the statement that it was Bakugo's fault, not his own. If Bakugo had shut the fuck up for once, he could have kept his cool...

"I'll fucking kill you!" He said for at least the tenth time today, and it was only 8am. After dealing with the death of Nighteye, death was a sensitive subject for Izuku, so he decided to say something for once. Well, decided isn't quite right. The words just came out.

"Does everything have to be about death and killing with you?" He asked, not looking in his direction.

"What did you say, Nerd?" Bakugo demanded, his voice developing the growl it always did whenever he spoke to Midoriya.

"I said" Izuku turned to face him, feeling the start of something in his chest he wasn't sure he liked. It felt like rage, something he didn't often experience. "Does everything have to be about death with you? Have you ever even experienced death? Somebody close to you dying right in front of you? Your actions directly resulting in somebody never breathing again?" Bakugo didn't often hear Midoriya speak to him like that, with so much loathing, so he was frozen for a second "I didn't think so. So shut the hell up for once"

"Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?!" Bakugo screamed, snapping out of it and jumping up from his seat.

The rage Izuku felt flared stronger. Bakugo always thought he could just beat him up whenever he said something he didn't like. That's not how the world works! Izuku stood as well, turning and preparing to defend himself.

Instead, he was faced with Kirishima, who didn't exactly stand between them, but he did hold his hands there, encouraging them to keep their distances.

"Come on guys, don't be like that. Didn't you guys used to be friends? What happened?" He asked.

"Oh yeah, an aspiring hero with a tick he couldn't remove. My best bud, Deku" Bakugo said with a roll of his eyes.

And that was it. The final straw. Izuku didn't even realize what was happening before he was moving. Apparently Bakugo didn't either, as he made no move to defend himself as Izuku slammed into him, full force.

"Whoah!" Kirishima exclaimed, jumping out of the way out of instinct. Midoriya moved so fast they barely even saw him, there was just the green flashes of power as he activated his quirk.

One for All, Full Cowling... 50%!

Moving faster than he ever had, fueled by a seething rage he never felt before, Izuku got behind Bakugo, pulled his left arm backwards behind his back and grabbed the other arm while he swept his legs out from under him and slammed him into the floor, chest first.

The loud slam and gasp as Bakugo hit the floor got everybody's attention who wasn't already watching.

With his arms twisted and held down, and Izuku's weight digging into his shoulder blades, Bakugo couldn't move. He'd never been taken down so quickly before. He tried to move away somehow, and even kicked his legs, but that only got knees pushed harder into his shoulder blades. They would definitely be badly bruised.

"Tell the truth! Not some sarcastic remark, tell them what actually happened between us!" Midoriya screamed into his ear.

"I don't know what the hell you're talking about" He couldn't help the wheeze in his voice due to the pressure on his lungs.

"Midoriya! As the class representative, I must insist you release him!" Iida demanded from some part of the room. Izuku wasn't sure what was happening to the rest of the room anymore, it was only him and Bakugo.

"Tell them what you said to me in middle school! I'm sure you remember, it was the cruelest thing I've ever heard you say!"

"Did he call you a bag of dicks or something?" Kamanari asked, not taking the situation seriously. He was impressed Deku took Bakugo down though.

"You know what you said!" Izuku demanded again.

"I said lots of shit!"

"Exactly! You've said so many cruel things to me! But the worst... The worst... You told me to jump off the school building!" Midoriya revealed. Several gasps around the room only helped to fuel the rage. For such a long time he ignored that comment, pretended it didn't bother him. But it did, more than anything else in his life. He thought about it just about every day.

"Now you tell them what you said before that!"

"Midoriya, you've made your point, release him or I'm getting Mr. Aizawa!" Iida tried again, but to no avail. There was no reaching Izuku right now.

When Bakugo remained silent, Izuku twisted his arm harder, turning it beyond how it should normally move.

He screamed in response. He'd been injured a lot during training, as they all had, but they were mostly burns and bruises. He'd never broken any bones before.

"Tell them!"

"I said the world would be a better place if you just fucking died!" Bakugo finally admitted.

"I did nothing but support you for years! I believed in you more than anybody else in your life and you treated me like shit!" He twisted farther. He could feel the creaking of the bone struggling to remain intact.

Bakugou again screamed into the floor. He wanted to try to wiggle away, but if he moved too much he was going to break his shoulder blades rather than his arm. Or maybe both would end up broken. In all the years he'd known him, he had never seen Deku so angry before. Yes, they've fought, but they usually kept their distance and Deku always held back, which was part of his problem. Not this time though.

"I called you my friend, I helped you, I saved you, risked my life for you! And nothing but abuse in return!"

"I-"

"Shut up!" Izuku didn't know what he wanted to say, and he didn't care. He was done hearing from Bakugo.

Suddenly the door slammed open and Mr. Aizawa appeared.

"Midoriya! Break it up, right now!" Their teacher demanded. He made eye contact with Izuku, and they all saw the sparks power down as his quirk was stopped, but he wouldn't let go.

Even before he gained One for All, All Might made sure he was strong, and he'd only gotten stronger, quirk or not. He could and would continue to hold Bakugo down. Besides, he wasn't done here. Katsuki needed to permanently suffer for what he'd done, just like Midoriya did. So before Mr. Aizawa and the other students could stop him, he pushed that last little bit required and the snap echoed in the room.

The scream shouldn't have been as satisfying as it was. Midoriya allowed Iida to pull him away and he let go of Bakugo, watching silently as Aizawa looked at his arm.

"It's definitely broken, but can you walk?" He asked

"I can walk and I can kick his ass!" Bakugo shouted, but as soon as he managed to stand, the bruises in his back threw him off, and he fell back down, bumping his broken arm on the floor in the process. Against his will, tears finally began to well up in his eyes.

He shot Izuku a dirty look as Aizawa and Kamanari helped him up and out of the room

"You stay right there, Midoriya! I'll be back for you. Iida, make sure he doesn't leave!" Aizawa told them.

"Yes, Sir!" Iida grabbed Izuku's arm, but he didn't really notice. He was too busy trying to catch Bakugo's eye. When he did, he couldn't help it. He smiled at the tears on his face.
