It's night now. Carl walks into the Harlem police precinct in uniform, appearing nervous. A few officers nod to him as he walks out and he mumbles a greeting before passing them. As he makes his way past the offices, Chief Reilly stops and asks, "Carl, aren't you off duty?" He smiles and quickly walks away from her, "I think I left some my phone here." He moves down a stairwell and uses a set of keys to open a maintenance room. Once inside, he makes his way to a breaker, opens it, and begins to shut off the fuses.
In the holding cell, Punisher and Daredevil sit quietly just before the lights go out, getting both of their attentions. In the office, the lights go out. Chief Reilly looks up and mutters, "What the hell?". Outside the precinct, it's obvious all lights have now gone out. Typhoid watches from across the street and quickly makes her way toward the building. The emergency lights kick on, casting everything in red.
"The lights are out," Daredevil says aloud.
"I've seen this before," Punisher warns him, "They're attacking the building. Go. I can take care of myself."
"I'll go but I can't leave you out in the open like this."
In an alley, Typhoid produces a remote detonator and presses a button. A second later, a police cruiser explodes. Inside, the officers duck down as the explosion rattles the windows. "Okay, people, look alive," Chief Reilly begins shouting commands, "We know what to do. Lock this place down." The officers scramble into place with many of them grabbing rifles and forming a perimeter outside the building. In the alley, Carl opens the back door and Typhoid quickly runs inside. She enters a hallway and asks Carl, "Where are the holding cells?". Just then, an officer appears in the hall and quickly draws his gun, "Freeze!". Typhoid wastes no time and slashes his throat with her machete, spraying blood along the wall. Carl stares at the dead body in horror. "Where are the holding cells?," Typhoid repeats and notices Carl is no longer paying attention to her so she turns his face toward her, "Carl? Baby, look at me... You wanted my help, right?" He matches her gaze, "Okay,... Okay I'll show you."
A gloved hand knocks on a door and a moment later, Noah Burstein answers. Jessica stands outside his home, "Dr. Burstein?".
"Sorry, I think you have the wrong person," he croaks nervously.
Jessica pushes through the door and shuts it behind her, "Of course I do."
"Who sent you?"
"Luke Cage."
He goes pale, "I haven't worked for Seagate in-".
"No, but you worked for the Raft, didn't you?"
"How did -?"
"I have my sources. There was an inmate there named Benjamin Poindexter. He escaped recently. Know `im?"
"I stopped working at the Raft two years ago. I was let go, I swear."
"Why's that?"
"They brought me in to conduct my experiments on their inmates. One in particular. He had a similar DNA make-up as Luke Cage so they thought the process would work. Unfortunately, it didn't and he passed away. They gave the project to someone else."
"Wait,... The inmate who died. You said he had a similar DNA make-up as Luke Cage?"
"Yes, Mr. Cage survived his process due to his unique genetic make-up. We needed someone..."
"Who was related?"
"... Yes."
"Like a brother?"
"Half-brother, actually."
Misty's car pulls up to Pop's Barber Shop. She waits inside with Luke and Colleen.
"I don't see Tilda," Misty states.
"She'll show up," Luke tells her.
"Want us to go in with you?," Colleen asks.
"Nah. It's probably best to stay out here and keep your eyes open."
"Keep them open for what, exactly?"
"I'm not sure, but you'll know it when you see it."
"You said that place was Switzerland, right? No one does shit while they're inside?"
"That doesn't mean something might be going on outside," Misty tells her.
Tilda steps out of a car parked nearby and makes her way inside. "There she is," Luke gets out of the car. "Good luck," Misty tells him as he goes in after her.
Carl and Typhoid round a corner and into a hallway where they stop dead in their tracks. At the other end of the hall, Daredevil stands ready with two batons behind him is a single door.
"The holding cell is on the other side of that door," Carl nervously tells her.
"You're not getting in," Daredevil warns.
"What if I ask nicely?," Typhoid walks forward, twirling her twin machetes.
Daredevil rushes forward, deflecting two blade strikes with his baton. He ducks under one swipe and then leaps back to avoid a swipe at his mid-section. Typhoid kicks him in the chest, forcing him back toward the door, so he throws a baton against the floor, making it ricochet. It takes one machete from Typhoid's hand, but it doesn't slow her down. She grabs her blade with both hands and brings it down, but Daredevil blocks her forearms, then delivers a sharp punch to her gut, then another across her face. It puts some distance between them, so he goes into a spin kicks, knocking her to the floor. Carl tries to make a break for the door, but Daredevil turns and slams him against the wall. With his back turned momentarily, Typhoid makes a move, slicing the side of his leg. Daredevil hits the floor in pain and Carl is able to go through the door. Daredevil rolls away just before Typhoid's blade stabs the tiles. Daredevil hops onto his feet, blocks another blade strike, then spins into a backfist, forcing Typhoid away from him.
Carl enters the holding cell and stops when he sees that the Punisher's cell is empty and the door has been open. He stares in confusion and a second later, Frank knocks him down with a haymaker. Carl hits the ground and begins to pull his sidearm. Frank grabs his wrist and bends his elbow, which slams the gun into his chin. He falls on his back and Frank pulls the gun loose. "Wait, no!," Carl shouts just before Frank takes aim and pulls the trigger.
In the outer hallway, both Daredevil and Typhoid turns their attention to the sound of a loud gunshot. With her foe distracted momentarily, Typhoid punches Daredevil across the face, knees him in the crotch, then pins him against the wall with her blade at his throat. "If I peel that suit off you, I wonder what I'd find," she chuckles and forces a kiss.
A second later, Frank bursts through the door with a gun in his hand. He takes aim but Typhoid throws Daredevil at him. The gun goes off wildly and a bullet grazes her shoulder. She screams and falls back. While both men are on the floor, Daredevil tries to wrestle the gun away from Frank. "Get off me, goddammit," Frank growls. Typhoid runs in the opposite direction and disappears around the corner. They rise to their feet, the gun now in Daredevil's hands.
"She's gone, is that what you wanted?," Frank sneers.
"We'll catch up to her later," Daredevil angrily dismantles the gun.
