Chapter 3: You lied to me
Alex was busy applying her make-up, when Amelia entered into their bedroom, hey babe? Hey... "you are back?' I thought you texted me that you're coming on
Monday?",
"I did, Amelia replied,
"How's your parents keeping?"... Alex asked, she was now putting on her earrings,
"they are great" answered Amelia taking of her clothes changing into more comfortable ones, actually they're asking about you.
"Oh!.?
"Hmmhn!.
"You are dressed you going out or something?".
"Oh yeah, um...Nicky is having a small birthday party for Lorna's cousin. So just got invited, she was now applying her lipstick on her bottom lips,
"Oh! ,Amelia mumbled in a frustrated voice, "I didn't know she was back!?"..
"Oh yeah, my bad forgot to tell you, she came back on Thursday,"
"Okay guess she doesn't want to see me then".
"C'mon babe, she wanted to invite you but, i told her you went over to your parents, didn't know you'd be back today. Alex tried to explain herself to her girlfriend,
"Okay!? how is she anyway?, Amelia inquired unhooking her bra and throwing it into dirty laundry basket, She is great! what about Lorna?!
"They're all fine babe", babe can you help me out?,she said gesturing for Amelia to help with her gown zip.
"So you coming back at what time?!...
"Not sure but you don't have to wait for me!...
"Okay! "
"You think I should go by red or blue? "she asked her girlfriend trying to decide on which color of shoes matching up well with the dress she was wearing,
"I think the blue ones", replied Amelia,
hugging and kissing her girlfriend she picks up her purse, calling Uber, after something like 30 minutes, her Uber was now parking at Nicky's and Lorna's apartment, stepping out of the car paying for her Uber, pacing towards elevator pressing no.3 for 3rd floor,
Stepping out of elevator, she is welcomed by loud sounds of music and chattering, coming from Nicky's apartment,
"Jeez Nicky I thought it was just a small birthday party she wondered aloud,"
Hey!.. look who finally showed up", Lorna murmured, walking to give Alex a hug.
"Jeez!.. Alex you are getting taller every day! Lorna said disentangling herself from a hug.
"I think I need to sue my parents for that!.", Alex chuckled.
"How are you?..
"I'm great actually!
"How is Amelia?.
"She is fine"
"Oh!. Okay, welcome Alex, and thanks for coming!..
"C'mon is no big deal... besides I needed a vacation,
"Okay help yourself out, see you around then, Lorna said taking steps upstairs where hers and Nicky's bedroom was,
It didn't take more than 10minutes, before Nicky's stormed in with crates of beers and soft drinks,.. distributing drinks to her guests, and finally taking a seat opposite to Alex,
"So you hiding back here huh?". Nicky Mocked Alex,
"What!? Jeez just enjoying myself
"Agh!?.. Vause that's disgusting! thought you'd a girlfriend for that!?..
"Fuck you Nicky!" . Alex said hitting Nicky playfully. They continue chatting and getting drunk, after 3 to 4 bottles of beer,
"Nicky someone's here for you", Lorna mumbled. Oh bring her here.. It's then when a certain figure appeared behinds Lorna ,a blonde girl, the girl who Alex remembered as the blonde waitress who works at Red's restaurant, Fuck me!. She cursed silently, ..
"Hey blondie, welcome! Lorna, meet Piper she is one of the Red's new girls, Piper, this is Lorna, my girlfriend soon wife to be!.. Nicky said, smirking, Which made Lorna to blush furiously,
"Oh pleasure meeting you Piper, Welcome , muttered Lorna pulling Piper into a hug,
"Thanks " Piper answered smiling to Lorna,
"You remember my friend here Alex!?. Nicky said gesturing for Piper to take a seat beside her,
"Hey!.. Piper said blushing...
"hey!" .Alex answered ,
"I didn't think you'd come!"...Nicky mumbled, impressed by Piper's presence, of which the blonde just smiled, so what should I get you ?! wine, beer or soft drink?
"Just a wine will do please!"
"Okay then five sec, leaving the blonde and the raven- haired woman alone, there was an awkward silent between them, each of them, didn't know how to approach the other, finally Piper broke the Silence,
"Look Alex..I just wanted to say thanks for the tip you left for me!
"Oh don't worry about it, was just pleased by your service thus all!..
"Really!? hmmhn!.. Alex hummed how's Red Alex decided to change the topic,
"she's great"
"Okay!...and Nicky returned with a bottle of wine and a glass
"Serve yourself blondie"...
"So blondie do you like pussies or you prefer pipes just like your name suggest? hearing these words Alex accidentally chocked and spits out her drink, Piper was caught off guard by Nicky's question...
"I..um...i have a boyfriend. She answered uncomfortably... feeling embarrassed, something that didn't go unnoticed by Alex ,
"Excuse ,me I need to use the bathroom Alex murmured, gesturing for Nicky to follow her,
"You fucking invited her ? and what was that about pussies? huh? Alex asked unamused,
"Yeah !?, I invited her, Is there something wrong with her being here?,
"No..not at all!... I mean you can't just asks her questions like that... especially now that you know she is straight you'd be scaring her away!..
Nicky just laughed, she didn't need a third degree, to know that her tall friend was really into the blonde,
"What? what is funny Nicky! do I look like mr bean to you? Alex asked her brows raised,
"Nothing" Nicky answered smirking, got yo Vause, now can we get the fuck back to our drinks?!..
"Just go, um.. i think am going to the balcony", Alex said trying to avoid any encounter with the blonde, given that she had a girlfriend with whom she was trying to have a kid with, being near the blonde wasn't good for her and Amelia, so she was really trying to push all the dirty thoughts that was forming in her head towards the blonde,
"Okay!?.then let me go get drinks, Nicky said leaving Alex walking towards the balcony,
Alex was enjoying the outside view, when Nicky returned with a company carrying their drinks,
"You have a nice view over here " Piper said putting the drinks down on the table which was outside,
"You like it?" Nicky asked bemused,
"Yeah actually it's great...am glad you like it blondie.. Lorna joined them,
"So you guys bailed on me?" Lorna asked taking a seat beside Nicky, Nicky arched her brows in question...I mean you left me alone with birthday girl, and the guests all by myself?..
"Oh my bad Nicky laughed, which Lorna hits her back playfully...
they continue chatting and drinking, Piper decided to approach Alex ,
"You seems so quite, is there something wrong?"... instead of answering Alex just look into her eyes deeply...
which the blonde averted her gaze away, scared by the look raven- haired woman was giving her, if she was being honest she has never encountered that look before, plus it was now the second time for that woman to stare her like that, whatever that look was she didn't know how to react on it, it scared her in a bad and a in good way, and then she chuckled,
"Nah am just observing things and people! you know? " she answered adjusting her glasses nervously,
"So you lied to me ?" Alex asked the blonde trying to keep on her poker face,
"Me?!. when did I lie to you?" the blonde asked wondering aloud,
"you told me you'd make it up to me and then you disappear on me?" Alex reminded her,
"Oh!.. about that am so sorry Alex, I promise I will", the blonde mumbled shyly her gaze kept on the ground,
"C'mon don't worry about it, Alex said squeezing the blonde's hands in a reassurance manner!...
"Okay but honestly I promise you i will,
"Then I will be gladly waiting for that make up!. Alex said smirking, this made the blonde to smile...
"You need another drink?" Alex asked the blonde..
"Nah!.. "thanks actually am not supposed to be drinking"...
"Why? the raven- haired woman asked curiously,
"No just trying to quit, the blonde lied, their conversation is interrupted by the notification sound coming from Piper's mobile phone, checking her mobile phone a notification indicating a new email.

A/N just wanted to say thanks for the guest who left a wonderful review, and for your encouraging words to keep on going with writing, it really means a lot to me,
also am open to suggestions and recommendations, like what do you want to see/read, for instance Piper hasn't told Larry that she is undertaking a surrogate contract, how do you wants Larry to find out( after or before insemination?). how do you want Alex to react once she found out that Piper is her surrogate, etc
