Little continuation from chapter 3. I'll probably have one or two more chapters describing Izuki's 17 birthday, but probably not the next one. I don't know if a beach can be close to an Onsen, so, if I'm wrong, use your imagination and imagine there is one. Enjoy :D

(Izuki at age 16)

Somehow I had won, that senpai who bullied me wasn't even close when the votes were counted. Still, I wouldn't put myself through the same embarrassment again; I would leave it to Yaomomo or Tsuyu to take the lead next year. All in all, I was happy. I have never had the chance to celebrate my birthday with my friends at an Onsen. We would be staying for the weekend; the beach was a ten minute walk and by the end, I'd be turning seventeen.

"You must be 2-A" the landlady greeted us when we finally got all our luggage out of the bus. "Please, come in"

Aizawa-sensei was our chaperone since he was our teacher, he had even brought Present Mic! He was his boyfriend after all. Originally, All Might was supposed to be the other chaperone but he decided he wanted to have an improvised getaway with my mom. I wasn't mad, she deserved to be happy after all.

The landlady grabbed the keys and led us through the Onsen. The girls would be sharing a room and the boys would be split into two. Of course, Aizawa-sensei and Present Mic would be sharing a room. Well, I hope Present Mic can tone down Aizawa-sensei's strictness, we wanted to have a little get together with the boys, just like in the common room, before we have to sleep. Still, the landlady showed us our rooms and we were left alone until it was time for dinner.

"We have time before we have to dine with the others" Ashido said "Should we go to the Onsen now? I remember the landlady said they were still open before it turned into boys only"

"Let's go"

"This feels nice"

I could hear Ochako was already enjoying the warm bath. I was the last one to get in. Mostly, because I had a little inconvenience as I was changing into the bathrobe; yeah, that inconvenience.

"Are you okay now?" Tsuyu asked.

"Yeah, I should pay more attention to the dates" I chuckled "it's not the first time this happens"

"Hey, Midoriya, is that a new scar I see?" Ashido asked "There, along your arm"

She was right, I was trying to achieve Full Cowl at 40% and I got hurt. Recovery Girl scolded me for almost an hour. All Might wasn't happy about it either, since he did receive an hour long scolding before I did. Not only did I have a new scar being displayed in my left arm, but I also had managed to improve my control on OFA; though it wasn't 40% yet.

"Neh, Midoriya..."

"Yeah, I was training again, it got a little bit out of hand" I replied feeling my cheeks blushing.

"Moh, Midoriya, you can't keep doing that to your body, you know?" Ashido said getting my attention "You were lucky the dress was long sleeved and the boys didn't get to see it, your other scars are smaller and not that visible, that's a plus" she said "my Auntie bought a special cream to take care of her stretch marks after the pregnancy, she also used it to get rid of the big scar along her stomach" she said while showing a measurement of the aforementioned scar with her hands "I can ask her to send me a photo and you can buy it when we go back"

"Huh? Why would I need that?"

"Midoriya, are you being serious right now?" Ashido looked at me with surprise. The others looked like they weren't really paying attention to us but I could tell they were listening "How do you expect to have a date for this year's Gala if you go around showing your scars" she explained "Last year you were lucky Todoroki-kun asked you, but that was when you had small scars, who's gonna ask you now if you don't put the effort?"

"Ashido..."

"Even then, how do you think the others would feel if they saw you getting hurt again?" she said "No one likes scars Midoriya, you should be mindful of us too..."

"Mina! That's enough" Hagakure scolded her. "Izuki, don't listen to this dumbass" she came near me "Not all boy are as superficial as she thinks, I mean, Ojiro-kun can't be the only one" I could tell she was blushing "Mineta-kun would for sure notice but the ones that matter, won't" she said "Not everyone minds the scars, don't let her opinions get to you"

"Thanks Hagakure-chan but I'm getting dizzy" I walked to the stairs to get out "I'm going to sleep, tell the boys I wasn't feeling well"

"Do you want me to accompany you, Zu-chan?" Ochako offered.

"I'll be fine in the morning, don't mind me, enjoy yourselves"

"Midoriya you know you don't have to get up early right?" Ashido asked once I came back from my morning jog "You're in a vacation now, you get to sleep in"

"Force of habit, sorry, did I wake any of you up?"

"No, you didn't" she replied "I was just worried when I woke up and I didn't see you"

"Sorry Ashido, sometimes I forget I can sleep-in during a vacation" I said drying my hair with the towel, I already took a shower before eating breakfast "Say, where are the other girls?"

"Oh, they got ready for the beach before going to have breakfast" she replied "they'll be waiting for us there with the boys"

"Thanks for waiting for me Ashido"

"Uhm, I also wanted to apologize for yesterday" she was unusually uncomfortable "Sometimes I get way into my head" she said "I don't have to push you to do something I would do" she said "I'm sorry if I made you feel embarrassed, the fact that you're willing to push your body to the limit is admirable"

"Don't worry Ashido, it's okay"

"Still, I'm sorry"

"The sun feels nice" I murmured to myself. The walk to the beach had felt shorter than what it was.

"We should accommodate our stuff before swimming" Iida-kun "Let's try to do this in a disciplined way..."

Poor Iida-kun, he was left alone; in our defense, he has gotten used to being ignored by us when he got too strict. The umbrellas were up and the towels were placed on the sand. I took my time to get my things ready, would the others mind my scars? The girls had already seen them last night so I didn't think they would be disgusted by them, but will the boys?

"Zu-chan, let's go, everybody's waiting for us" Ochako called me.

"I want to read a bit before going Ochako, I'll catch up with you later"

Somehow I had managed to fool the others and not get into the water; I still had my t-shirt on and luckily, it was airy enough so I wasn't hot. I watched as they started piggyback fights, Kacchan didn't want to participate at first but Kirishima-kun managed to convince him. They started a little tournament with the locals and they switched teams every round. Ochako had come at times to invite me to join but if I did, I would have to take my shirt off after a while because of the sun.

They were getting things ready to prepare the barbecue. Kacchan was, once again, convinced to be the chef. He might complain all the time, but he can't deny he's the best cook out of all of us.

"Something wrong, Midoriya?" Kirishima-kun called me. "I couldn't help but notice you didn't mingle with us today"

"Yeah, I wasn't feeling well today"

"What happened? Are you okay now?" he asked.

"It's not something you can get better in a night Kirishima-kun" I sighed "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure"

"Do you think scars are ugly?" I asked

"Yeah they are" he said. I should've known. "But I think that they are the highest expression of manliness" he said "every scar I've gotten is either because I fought as a Hero or I was improving myself to be a better hero" he smiled at me "Don't you think that makes them even better?" he asked "Why do you ask?"

"Just a thought in my mind" I smiled "Thanks Kirishima-kun, I'm feeling better now"

"Huh?"

"Let's go eat, Kacchan will get angry if we eat his food cold"

I don't have anything against Mina, I just thought that, out of all the girls, she would be the most likely to say/think something like that. See you next time!
