(Izuki at age 25)

"So, how's it been going Hitoshi-kun?" I was meeting him at a local café, we had to discuss our action plan for next week.

He was Eraserhead's disciple alright; not only had he become an established underground hero but he had been appointed as the newest sensei at U.A. High School. I bet Aizawa-sensei is really proud of him, he has come so far. He was starting next week and he wanted to make a big impression on his students; he had asked me to be a featured guest on his class and I accepted. I was going to give an inspirational talk about what it meant to be a hero.

"The usual, catching bad guys and whatnot" he replied after getting a sip from his teacup.

"Are you excited for next week?" I asked "I can't believe you're actually going to do it"

"Believe me, I thought I had a few years before following Eraserhead's path" he said "but they needed a teacher and they knew I had some beforehand experience..."

"You're gonna do great, I know it!" I tried to cheer him up.

"How's the boyfriend?" he asked.

It wasn't something new, all my friends were excited and slightly shocked we had finally gotten together. They said the chemistry had been there for ages; but that we had been too oblivious, on my side, and too 'shy', from his part. All I really cared was that we were going steady and that it would almost be a year since we started dating. It had gone so fast.

"Can you believe we're almost at the one year anniversary?" I chuckled "I hadn't noticed we had been together for almost a year now"

"I still don't get it" he asked.

"What can I say, it just gradually happened"

"Well, congrats" he cheered for me. "Where is he anyways? I thought maybe he could be persuaded to also be a guest"

"I tried to convince him but he won't give in" I complained "He's too proud to share a crowd" I said "honestly, I just think he wanted you to ask him first, he feels you felt guilty for not inviting him too when you asked me"

"I do feel guilty because I also wanted to ask him at the same I did to you" he replied "but he was out on a mission and I forgot to do it later"

"He doesn't want to admit it, but we all know he's kind of resentful even though you wouldn't tell at first"

"Oh believe me, I can tell"

"Really?"

"You weren't there when he avenged you after you broke up with your ex during an outing" he sighed "I mean, we all wanted to hit him for what he did at the time but no one wanted to hit him more than your current boyfriend" he said "he had been jealous of him ever since you got together with your ex" he took another sip at his tea "I don't want to be at the other end of that fist, believe me, I'd rather have him use his quirk on me than having his fist hitting my face"

"Scary..."

"You have no idea" he sighed "Please convince him not to hold a grudge on me"

"No worries Hitoshi-kun, he's just a big baby, he won't hit his friends"

"We're not that close you now?" he reminded me "We are sort of friends because of you but we wouldn't be otherwise"

"You should make him an exclusive invite next time if you want to make sure he won't be hitting you next" I advised him.

"Will do" he said "How's Eri been doing with him?"

"Well, they've known each other since forever" I said recalling the many times he had been her kid-sitter "I think she knew the whole time" I chuckled "Can you believe it? The first thing she said to me when I told her was, and I'm quoting, 'Mama, you sure took your time'" Hitoshi-kun laughed "That child, she's too invested in me she can't notice Kouta-kun having a crush on her"

"Well, she gets it from her mom" he teased me.

"I might let him hit you after all you know?" I teased back "Don't test me"

"Fine, fine" he surrendered "so they get along then?"

"They even turn against me together!" I sighed "Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they get along, more than that, I think she can actually trust in him and ask for dad-advice; but I want my child to be on my side"

"She's not a child anymore Izuki" he replied "She's almost eighteen now, soon she'll want to go live on her own, you should start thinking about getting more babies..."

"I'm not sure we're there yet" I said "We're not living together yet, I think I would like to live with the man for at least a year before even thinking of getting married and having children"

"That's very mature, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you" he said.

"Do you know something I don't, Hitoshi-kun?"

"Well, now that I know something he doesn't, I'm sure I'll be having a talk with him after you go" he replied.

"Don't tell me he…."

"Today, actually" he said.

"So, us having a drink is what? A diversion?"

"Well, he wanted to know where he was standing and he was pretty sure you'd say yes..."

"But it's way too early!" I started to panic "I love him but I don't think I'm ready for that sort of commitment"

"Good thing he send me first, right?"

"But, how..."

"Don't fret Izuki, he won't do it, I'll make sure of it" he tried to calm me down "Just, make sure you make your move ok? Tell him you want to live together, you know he won't make that step after you just kinda shut his proposal down without even living it, right?"

"Okay, I'll do it" I said "But please, let him down gently, okay?" I requested "I love him and I hope he can wait for another year at least, yeah?"

"I'll let him know, don't worry"

"Well, that makes you friends, right?" I tried to deviate "I mean, he could've asked Ochako or Tsuyu to do this but he asked you"

"Don't get confused, we're still not as close as you would think" he chuckled "The reason he asked me to do this was because he couldn't trust them not to tell you"

"But you kinda did..."

"He doesn't need to know that"

"You're right, thanks Hitoshi-kun" I said.

"Let's get out of here, I still need to get ready before my patrols"

"Gosh, you're right" I said looking at the time "I have to start making dinner, maybe I'll call him to come over and just ask him to move in"

"He'll appreciate a good meal after I deliver the news"

We left a few yens to pay for the drinks and we walked out of the café. It was raining and as we were going out, a car conveniently sped up and drenched me from head to toe.

"Really?" Hitoshi-kun was laughing at me. "Agh, I'll have to take another shower..."

"Here" Hitoshi-kun lend me his jacket.

"Oh, don't worry Hitoshi-kun, the house is just a few blocks away"

"I insist"

"There's no need, really" I tried again "These clothes were already going to the laundry basket as soon as I finished making dinner"

"I don't want him to have another reason to hit me" he replied "I know he won't be happy once I tell him not to propose but I don't want to have him considering punching me for leaving his girlfriend in the rain without anything to cover her"

"But"

I felt it then, his quirk. 'Grab the jacket' his voice commanded. Though I could get out of his control, I decided I should better just grab the jacket and return it at another time.

"Thanks Hitoshi-kun" I smiled at him.

"Just make sure he doesn't see you in it" he murmured as he walked away.

Sure Hitoshi-kun, I still want you to be a hero.

Yeah, that happened. I think I kept it pretty general without any distinctive tells as to which boy she's actually dating, did I really achieve it? What do you think? I think getting married at 25 is too young, but that's just me. My high school generation is already popping babies out and they're 25! Still, I don't want to offend people so if you got married younger than that or you're getting married and you're 25, then I'm happy for you and I hope you're living a happy life with your partner. If you already had babies before that age or you're getting one, well I'm sure you're gonna be a great parent and your kid is going to be loved. This was just my opinion. Take care on these hard times, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
