Bran Stark was a lively one, always up to something. The rest of the Starks were having dinner when Bran burst in from outside.

"Look, everyone! Look what I got!" he announced, holding up a jar of golden liquid.

"What is it?" asked his father.

"Liquid gold!" replied Bran.

"Wow! Where did you get it?" asked Sansa, realizing this could be the end of their perpetual poverty.

"Come see for yourselves!"

He led the family to a nearby pasture.

"There! That's where I got it from, see?" he said, pointing to a brown calf among three other calves—a white one with a black muzzle, a brown-and-white one, and a black one. They were all grazing.

"Whoa!" said Arya.

"So how did you find out it makes gold instead of milk?" said Robb.

"I just noticed the baby cows today. They're so cute, I just couldn't take my eyes off of them. Later, when the farmer was milking them, I noticed that the color of the liquid coming out of that calf was off, and that he used a special bucket for it," said Bran. "Just think, if we steal that calf, we'll have endless gold!"

So they lifted the calf, which showed no fear and didn't make any sounds that would alert its owner, and carried it back to the house. Never would they have financial problems again!
