Personal Assessment: This guy seems a lot more infrequent in his appearances. I haven't personally dealt with him, so I can't say heads or tails about him. He appeared for a while at the same time as Spider-Man before Spidey's costume change, (See file HSM-034) but I think there may have been 2 people that have operated as Spider-man.
This is just theoretical, and Spider-Man refuses to discuss this matter. Around the time of the costume change, looking at footage of Spider-Man before and after the costume swap, there are two noticeable details: first off there's the matter of how they moved. The first is one we were accustomed to, whereas the second one, is consistent with previous body movement as the earlier movements of Scarlet Spider; (see file HSC-004) and then there's attitude. Spider-Man before the costume swap was very angry. According to testimony, Spider-man lost his cool several times leading into this time, and this probably led to this Spider-Man retiring, to let the other take over. This is all theoretical of course. So, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
The one factor that seems to throw this theory out the window, is that it would be that this Scarlet Spider is the previous Spider-Man. But as that Spidey is temperamental, this Scarlet is actually a lot more light hearted and easygoing.
