Rose and Scorpius have strayed out a bit recently at the burrow. Ever since Rose broke up with the Ravenclaw Boy, Scorpious has been looking for a chance, and everyother Weasley and Potter starts to notice and decide to help and make the perfect plan to get them together. (Or many plans that go terribly wrong) *FLUFF*
This chapter i wanted to switch it up and change points of veiws around certain events to make it more interesting.
"Who wants to watch a movie?" James smiled as he leant against the door way in the attic.
"No!" Rose exclamied. Victorie rolled her eyes, "But its a classic Horror movie!"
"Just not that one." Rose said softly. James sighed, "If you dont want to watch it just go upstairs with Lily and the others." Victories hand was hovering above the DVD player. The disk in her hand.
"Yeah there no shame in not wanting to watch it." Fred said.
Rose glanced side ways at Scorpius, he didnt mind watching anything as usual, but he was looking at her, this concerned look on his face. "Yes there is Fred." She said quickly before she grabbed the disk from Victories hand and put it in the DVD player, clicking 'play'
She swallowed a bit before She glarred at the DVD player then turned around and sat down on the couch. The Shining cant be that scary,...right?
She twirled a bit of her hair around her fingers to try distract herself as the movie started. Scorpius is in the kitchen getting the snacks- now hopefully any scary bits will happen while he's in the kitchen-
And before she even finished thinking about possible outcomes, Scorpius sat down right beside her with the snacks.
He poured some Chocolate into one bowl, followed by some popcorn as he divided the bowls. Rose just looked away from him. I cant be scared infront of Scorpius. God what would he think of me?
Rose:
Just dont look at him. Simple.
I smiled as i watched the begining of the shining. Nothing scary can happen while he's not looking at the screen, i mean- its the begining. Nothing scary happens at the begining- OH MY GOD.
His arm had brushed against mine for a split second while he was passing a bowl of snacks to Victorie and Teddy on the other side of the couch from me.
I glarred at him but he frowned at me, "What?" He asked.
I shook my head quickly, "No- nothing..you just- Er- scared me thats all." I stuttered. Could you sound anymore nervous? I almost glarred at myself in the reflection of the screen.
"Sorry." He said softly before he handed me a bowl. He's much cuter when he's polite. ROSE SNAP OUT OF IT!!!
But it is annoying how senseless and unaware he can be at times...but then again he always apologises...
"Can you pass this to Teddy so i dont scare you again?"
I almost jumped again after he interupted my thoughts. "Yeah sure." I muttered quickly as i grabbed the bowl and turned around to pass it to them- Ugh. They were snogging. Really? They were snogging while watching a horror movie.
I just looked away and nudged Teddy's shoulder with the bowl. I heard a quick, "Thanks." As the bowl was taken from my hand but then i immediately turned the opposite direction but that led me looking at a chuckling Scorpius. Great. He'd obviously just seen that whole situation.
"Its not funny." I groaned before i let out a laugh at his goofy face, "Just keep doing your job." I muttered turning red as i gestured at the popcorn.
He just laughed again, "Yes Mrs. Weasley."
I burried my face in my hands, knowing everyone else was probably glarring at us for laughing.
Once i looked back up something nudged my side and i turned to see Teddy and Victorie, only this time they were laying down, practically ontop of eachother.
I grimaced and shuffled down but I grimaced harder as i hit someone.
I squinted my eyes shut knowing exactly who I'd just hit. I turned to my side to see a very curious looking Scorpius. His hair a mess, and fluffy as usual, His blue eyes peering down at me. I hate that. He would always look down at me like im so much short than him. He's 5'8 and im 5'4. Come on.
I remembered what had just happened and realised i needed to explain. Uh, why is he so cute.
I pointed behind me and once he saw he smiled before he turned his attention to the movie again.
So yeah. I just sat awkwardly with my arm touching his for two quarters of the movie.
I was really on the edge of my seat now. The second half of the movie was where all the action was begining and all the jump-scares were coming at us.
I'd jumped a few times but its wasnt that bad that he'd noticed.
Thats when the big one came.
There was a huge jump-scare and im sure even Victorie and Teddy stopped snogging. Especially in a dark lit room- i jumped really bad and turned, instinctively, with no control, to Scorpius and dug my face into his shoulder, not baring to look at the screen.
A bit caught in the moment my arm was clutching his and my right arm was slung around his neck, i didnt even care i was hugging him. The movie had scared me so bad i just wanted the images to leave my mind.
He must've been scared too, because i went to move but realised his arm was around my back now, sort of cuddling me.
I tried to hide the fact he was warm, although he was wearing a jumper and i wasnt, he was really warm- and it was curently freezing in the living room.
I moved closer to him and just sat half ontop of his lap, his arm around me. "Comfy there?" He asked, and as soon as i saw the smirk on his face, out of fear of commitment and so many other things, i shuffled forward off of the couch and sat down on the rug by the fire below the TV.
Curse Malfoy's and their stupid good looks, stupid hair, stupid eyes, stupid warm cuddles, stupid lips, stupid smirk. Stupid...just stupid everything.
I crossed my arms and watched the rest of the movie, alone, on the floor.
Scorpius:
I didnt mean for her to leave. Correction- I didnt want her to leave. I want her to come back.
She was warm, and her skin was soft. Her curls were resting on my neck. It was nice. To have someone do that. Oh come on Scorpius whats wrong with you?
Is it really that bad though? To want someone to love you? Not just someone, her.
I tried to keep watching the movie but my eyes kept wandering back towards her curly head next to my legs.
She's cute. What.
I think i this point as i looked down at her that i realised what i told Victorie was more than true. It wasnt a maybe anymore, It was a yes. Yes i do like her.
And that hit me like a bunch of bricks in the stomach as i realised. But at the same time i also realised im screwed. Because if i do anything wrong. She has 12 cousins that will come after me.
Great.
Scorpius:
I crossed my arms looking suspiciously at the girls giggling across the room by the stairs.
They keep glancing at me and it's kind of freaking me out. Did I say something? Did I do something? Because I knew one thing for sure- news in this house spread like wild fire.
Suddenly a horrible thought filled his head as he watched James and the other cousins come down the stairs. Did they see my very peaceful but short cuddling session with Rose?
Speaking of fire- here she comes.
Ouch. My heart actually hurts at the sight of her.
Her red firery hair was out and her curls were flowing down her shoulders, blowing slightly in the wind. Her brown freckles seemed more noticeable than usual, but I thought it made her look cuter.
She was wearing a massive jumper and shorts and still she looked beautiful.
Oh how I'd love to run my fingers through her hair-
Oh no, was I starring too long? Now she's looking at me like I'm mental.
I just quickly turned to James and began talking about random stuff. "So uh did you mail my father yet, to see if I can stay over Christmas?" Scorpius asked. James just nodded "Yeah he said you can stay till New Years actually..."
What was she doing?
Scorpius was looking at Rose again but this time she was starring at her younger cousins like they were mental.
He could hear her yelling at them, "You guys can't keep doing this to me!" Rose snapped. Her arms crossed and she was looking at them angrily.
"Come on Rose it's not funny-"
"Your right it's not funn, it's idiotic and childish and-"
"It's halarious!" Molly turned on her. Rose looked at her cousins, a pleading look in her eye, "Please."
"If you like him then why is it so hard to work with him? You should be glad that you don't have to try go up to him and-"
Rose noticed Scorpius was looking and gave them a look before she turned her back to Scorpius and said, "I'll do it."
Molly smiled, completely satisfied with Rose's answer.
"Okay." Grandma Molly emerged from the kitchen, Lucy handed her a piece of paper, "Now were all going to be making desserts and foods of all sorts for tommorow night when your parents arrive- now we have allocated groups so there's no arguing."
He glanced at Rose, she had this half angry half content look on her face, and she was glaring at Molly severely.
"James and Fred I'll have you come in first and start with the vegetable chopping...Lily and Albus you two can fetch Teddy later for the chicken...Rose, Scorpius you two are best at potions so I think you should be able to brew us some cupcakes- if you could start now- thank you dears- Victoire?..."
Rose ignored the rest of the instructions as she gestured at Scorpius who followed her into the kitchen.
Already Fred and James were arguing by the sink.
Rose sighed, "You two get that side of the kitchen we stay on this side." Fred nodded. "No Fred the carrots- she wants the carrots.."
Rose walked over to the kitchen table in the middle. She eyed down the blue fridge at the back. "Scorp can you get the box? I'll get the mixers." He smiled at her, "Eye-eye captain." He smirked.
She tried not to laugh as she walked away from him to the cupboards.
She frowned at the many bowls and things but no mixer...
"Oh my god." She gasped.
Scorpious turned around, "What?"
She picked up an old mixing spoon. "They don't have mixers!?" Scorpius cried dramatically.
"Nope." Rose laughed as she walked back towards him with a bowl, the spoon sitting in it. "That thing looks way too old."
Rose laughed, "Old? It's ancient!"
Once they had all of the ingredients Rose read off of the box. "It doesn't say how much flower." She frowned. Scorpius picked up the jar full of flour, "just put in all of it."
"No! That's not how cooking works Scorpius!" She scolded while laughing. He frowned at her with a smile. "Well I'm no chef but you probably put a lot in then.."
Rose tried to open the jar. "No chef'" she mocked him, "Greatest..." She tried turning the lid, "...potions master of our year.." he smiled as he watched her struggle with the lid.
"Need some help?"
Immediately Rose responded with a stern look on her face, "No, I refuse to let this be one of those clichè scenes where the guy has to open the jar for her-"
Suddenly the jar was snatched out of her hands as Grandma Molly brushed her golden hair aside and unscrewed the lid, "You two..always arguing like an old married couple." She shook her head.
Rose and Scorpius looked at each other, it was only once Scorpius muttered, "Married?" That Rose turned red and looked away. Scorpious turned red too, did I really just say that out loud.
Once Grandma Molly handed Rose the jar she smiled in victory, "Now how much do we put in?" Scorpius asked. "Why are you looking at me?" Rose asked as she set the jar down and looked at the box.
"Because your the boss..." He began trailing off as she tied her hair back into the worst bun he'd ever seen, her hair was sticking out everywhere, but you know, being Rose she looked cute in just about anything, her bangs covers her forehead and her brown eyes sparkled at him in the afternoon light, accompanied by her small brown freckles.
"I'm not the boss." She said as she picked up the jar. She began pouring, "Im more the 'better at potions than you'" She smiled.
"Ahhh, young love-"
In an instant Rose dropped the jar in the bowl and turned to Fred and James who quickly turned around as if they were looking outside. "What did you say?" She asked, taking note that her wand only lay on the bench next to her.
"The owls!" Fred said as he nudged James as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "The owls outside are cute.." Rose's face was growing colder by the second. "You know they fly in pairs and-"
"Rose the flour!" Scorpius said from behind her, Rose turned around once more and saw that the jar had broken inside of the bowl and the bowl was filled three quarters with flour.
"Just taking a wild guess here, I think that's too much." He smirked.
"Smart arse." She laughed as she picked the glass out of the bowl.
She put her hands on her hips, "What are we gonna do with all the flour-" before she even finished, he had picked up a small handful land had thrown it at her red Griffindore sweater.
She looked down at her jumper before she looked at him. He looked half frightened as she starred at him.
Slowly a smile curved at the corner of her lips, "Your so dead-" she grabbed a handful of flour and threw it at his face, his eyes closed just in time but in attempt to block her own face she had smudge a handprint of flour on her cheek.
Scorpius threw another handful at her clothes again- not daring to ruin her hair or cover her pretty face, she made the same sort of promise as she showered him in flour, everywhere but his face and his hair.
After the bowl had the right looking amount of flour Rose pushed him away, "That's enough, let me get the eggs." She giggled.
Once she placed the eggs on the bench she picked one up and held it over the bowl but before she cracked it she looked at him and smiled.
He tried not to blush as the redness consumed his face, there she was. Rose- his Rose. As perfect as ever. Flour smudged on her cheek and her clothes, her hair all messy and cute.
She glanced at the floor as she blushed at him.
He just looked back at her and his face went even more red. Suddenly a very Weasley like smile filled her face- surly the one Fred used when he was about to hex someone. Scorpius decided at that very moment he didn't like it as Rose brought her arm up and cracked the egg into his hair, watching the yolk drip down his forehead and mix with the flour.
He glared at her sarcastically. His more childish side wanted to crack an egg into her hair but his loving and mature side told him she'd either hex him or he wouldn't be able to look at her pretty hair with egg glazed over it.
He pushed the egg off of his head and smiled at her as she poured in the rest of the ingredients.
"You wanted to start the fight so I finished it." She said simply as she began stirring with the old wooden spoon.
After a couple of minutes of silence Rose spoke up, "You can go now, I just have to put this in the oven."
She put the oven mits on and pushed the tray into the oven slowly.
Scorpius suddenly remembered what he had heard earlier. "So uh I heard you and lily arguing earlier."
Rose felt her face turn hot and she turned away glancing around the room trying to find something to do to avoid him. She just stood awkwardly and waited for him to continue.
"What's your problem with being partnered with me?" He asked softly as if the fun they'd had this afternoon hadn't happened. "Why were you dreading it so much?"
"No." She said turning around swiftly, "We were uh...talking about James-" that's not a good idea. "School!" She half cried. "This this a boy at school..." She half smiled as she leant on the bench thinking exactly of the boy behind her.
"A boy from school??"
"Yeah his name is...Sco-" She almost slipped into a daze as she almost said his name, but whatever daze she was in dissapeared quickly when she saw the look on his face. "-Not important. His name isn't important." She tried to think of anything to say but ramble. "He's a quidditch player and he's in Slytherin and he's so cute-" she stopped when she saw the look on his face.
He looked crushed and sort of sad. "Okay." He said quickly, anger filling his stomach in the moment. Rose- his rose, loved someone. And it wasn't him.
"Oh god because I thought you were talking about me and that's disgusting- I mean I'm way out of your league, I'm a quidditch player and your some nerd-" He stopped the second he saw the hurt look on her face, Scorpius, why oh why do you always say things that aren't true?
Rose was starring at the floor now, "I realise your thinking about some things- I'll go." She said quickly as she pushed past him before he got a chance to say anything.
Scorpius slammed the attic door closed, alarming all of the resulting Weasley's and Potter's in the room. He sighed and he looked down at the floor.
"I messed up with Rose." He looked back up at Victoire, "I need your help."
Hello! I know that the story hasn't really corresponded with the fanfic discription, but it will begin to more as the chapters go on from here. I also know this chapter is a bit short- I KNOWWWWW I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THAT! but seriously the story will get better from here as Scorpius tries to apologise without giving away that the reason he got mad was because he liked her- and then the next chapter is when the parents also come back to the burrow from their work so we get to see some Scorpius-Hermione talks there and Ron's superior hatrid.
AND NO- I'm not one of those evil Scorose writers who makes Ron murder Scorpius. No, no, no, no, no. Ron is mad at first when he finds out that Scorpius made Rose upset but Ron will get along with him I PROMISE! anyways, see you all next chapter,
