When I look up again after my murmuring everyone seems more confused than before. I hear them whisper to each other:
"What did they do to him?"
"He just stopped…"
"... as if he's controlled or something…"
"Shut up!", I say. "Shut up all of you. I'm tired of talking."
I spread my legs and activate my quirk. My old friends, my enemies, hesitates and I take the chance. I run fast and kick and hit and push as many of them as I can. Some are quick enough to activate their quirk, but none are faster than I am. I only use 8% of One for All, but it's enough to send most of them to sleep and some only to the ground.
Suddenly someone attacks me from behind. I can smell the nitroglycerin in the air around him- Bakugou. The explosion hits my back, but i managed to minimise the damage by turning my torso. The smell of burned cotton irritates my nose. I am still angry, but not at him. I'm angry at my enemies.
"Hey Deku!", he shouts. "Stop that right now! I know you're not yourself! The Deku I know would never do anything to hurt his friends!"
"They are not my friends!", I shout back. Some of the others has start to stir on the ground. They'll soon be up, I'll have to punch harder.
I'm about to attack the closest person about to rise, Mina, but then I hear someone approaching fast. I fling myself on the ground before Uraraka can touch me.
"Midoriya stop this!", she shouts and I shudder aggressively at the name. I can't control myself anymore. I come at her with One for All on 10% and kick her as hard as I can in the stomach. I pull back right before she can touch me. She falls to the ground, but now everyone is up again. They are surrounding me. I need to distract them. Talking is also distracting. I just need to buy Shigaraki as much time as possible.
So I turn my quirk off and just stand there. Waiting for someone to say something. Iida is helping Todoroki, who is now consiouss. Mina and Denki both have blood on their faces after my fist.
Bakugou speaks first: "Why did you do that?"
"I- ", I start, but then I get to thinking. Why did I do that? "I am supposed to -", I can't just tell them our plan. "I was just so angry…", I end up saying.
"At what?", Bakugou asks harshly.
"At- ", I wrinkle my forehead. What was I even angry at? Right: My enemies. "At my enemies."
"And who's that?", Bakugou says. He has taken several steps forward, standing inside the ring with me.
"It's- I'm … not really sure…", I confess. "I just got so angry... ", then my thoughts stop again. "I was supposed to do something. What was it? I'm supposed to… to distract, right…", I murmur. When I look up from the ground everyone is staring at me in a weird and worried way.
"What the hell was that just now?", Bakugou asks.
"What was what?"
"You just stopped talking and started murmuring out of nowhere. What did Shigaraki do to you?", Bakugou says with a worried expression.
"I don't know…", I say. And I honestly don't. "I can't remember…"
Then I spot Toga and Twice running into one of Kurogiri's black portals. Are they already done? I should leave with them. But I'm surrounded. I need to get back! Where is Shigaraki? No, wait, don't say he was captured and Toga and Twice only managed to escape.
A loud sound comes from the big house and everyone looks that way. This is my chance, I think, but before I can even take one step forward Bakugou has his hands around my wrists. His hands are warm, ready to explode any second. I look him dead in the eyes and try to look intimidating, but it's not working because I strangely feel relieved.
At the house Aizawa is standing on the balcony, behind him Shigaraki is lying face down with ropes around him.
"NO!", I shout. Then someone hits me in the back of my head before I can try to run away and everything goes black.
