The choice had been made many months ago. It wasn't safe for Barry and Iris to raise their baby with him being the flash and the newest line of villains knowing his identity. His baby girl would find a good home he would make sure of it.
Iris was sobbing on the bed holding her newborn she had to let go. The parents were there waiting to take their adopted daughter. The little girl was crying and it was obvious she would look just like her father. Same light skin, hazel eyes and light brown hair. Him being a speedster gave him a more dominant gene and Iris the recessive.
Caitlyn took the baby and cleaned her and put the power dampening chip in her shoulder without the adoptive parents seeing. The adoptive parents Jane and Mark Breakswirth didn't know that the little baby girl was the Flash's daughter and a Speedster. They would never know thanks to that power dampening chip.
Caitlyn hands Barry his daughter and he starts crying, she is wiggling around and still a little slimy from the birth. He kisses her forehead and hands her to Mr. and Mrs. Breakswirth.
"What is her name?" Mrs. Breakswirth asks.
"I though that was up to you" Barry says
"I know your only giving her away becuse you want to protect her from something... I'm not going to ask what but I feel like you have the right to name her" Mr. Breakswirth says.
Barry nods
"Her name is Nora Jane Breakswirth" Iris says to the couple now holding the baby girl.
The couple nods and starts cooing at the new baby.
Barry sees a little red lighting flicker across the child's eyes and then disappear, it's the sign that the power dampening chip kicked in.
Iris kisses her daughter one more time and then watches the adoptive parents leave.
"She's gone" Iris sobs in Barry's arms.

Jane sits on her couch holding her new baby girl, little Nora is cooing and squinting. She's only had the child for a month and the baby girl seems to have so much personality.
"Tiny can you turn the NEWS on you have the remote" Mark asks with a smile looking at his baby girl he loves so much. Jane flips the news on and something about the flash pops up.
"There is a rumor that the Flash put his newborn baby into the adoptive system to protect the child, but like the identity of the scarlet speedster no one knows the identity of the baby, new parents are racing to adopt children's making the record number of adoptions in the past 70 years" the NEWS reporter says, Jane looks down at her baby, wondering what it would be like if her girl was the Flash's daughter.
