Chapter 8 : [QUEEN ADMINISTRATOR]
I didn't sleep or even eat anything since yesterday. I constantly changed into my other forms if I felt sleepy or hungry.
There is this prompt in my vision that gave me five hundred EXP. I was just done on experimenting with my powers and was just thinking of purchasing some new forms when that prompt appeared in my vision.
I wonder how I got that?
Anyway, I need to focus on the rosters that I have. I don't know who's character is good though.
I can just pick one expensive character but it was also good to have many characters for more versatility.
... Hmm, what to do what to do?
While thinking like that, I look at the names on the list on the disembodied floating panel in my vision. On it are all the characters that I can choose. I pick the (See More...) to see who I can pick up.

I don't know much about the names written in here. Even with how I think my powers are convenient, I still felt it was stupid that it didn't give me any user manual. I need to walk through it blindly.
Well, I'll just pick whoever then... just like always!
With that I closed my eyes, point it somewhere and then opened it.
... Oh, Nagase Kaoru costs 50,000 EXP. Why did I put the display on the fairly expensive names.
I scrolled it up until only the cheaper ones can be seen.
Then I closed my eyes and then pointed my finger upwards. And when I opened my eyes, I saw that it was now pointed at a fairly expensive name.
"So it's the girl with a fancy name huh..." I muttered that to myself while looking at the name of Miles.
She have two names. Miles and Adele von Ascham. I was curious why she have two names though. Maybe it have something to do with her powers?
Anyway, I purchase her. She only costs 15,000 EXP.

Now then, I still have a lot of EXP so I should pick another one or two.
After doing a blind selection three times, I ended up adding three more forms. They are Filo, Kanzaki Keine, and Francette.

I have an urge to buy the most cheapest ones but I stopped myself. I need to familiarize myself on my new forms first before picking another one. Maybe I should pick new forms tomorrow or maybe the day after tomorrow after I was done familiarizing myself to my new forms?
For now, I should try my first purchase of this day.
I look at my forms and then willed myself to become Miles who is on the list of available forms that I have.
And after awhile, the weight on my chest is gone along with the robe and the scarf that I was wearing awhile ago.
I found out about this while I kept changing forms. It seems like whatever my current form possessed will vanished along with them when I changed forms. If I change back into them, whatever they possessed at that time will also be included in my transformation.
I only have one set of my simple costume. I am planning to create more with Sicily's magic and handicrafting skills. She was really good at sewing and patching up clothes.
Anyway, I need to see how I look now.
I look down at myself and the first thing I notice is that I was flat. The second is that I was too short.
... I am not very used on being short!
I've been tall since I was born so becoming this short makes me feel weird. Though, it was surprising that I don't lose my sense of balance with the sudden change of my size.
Anyway, it seems like Miles have a beautiful silver hair based on the strands I am seeing in my periphery.
... I wonder why all of my forms are beautiful girls.

So first I just need to let that feeling of naturalness move me and I can see what I can do.
And then like it was the natural thing to do in this world, I spoke to no one.

That's not Nano, is what I unconsciously thought. Even though I don't know who the hell is Nano.
I wanted to see whoever is this power who can somehow talk to me.

And then there is a small adorable yellow creature who popped in front of me. It was looking at me calmly, like a machine staring at nothingness.

It then gave me it's name/designation/alias/title/epithet all at the same time. After that, it asks me what I wanted for it.
... How the heck did it even conveyed what it wanted all at the same time with those weird action/speech/emotion!
Ugh... I was feeling confused about this.
"Uhmm... where is Nano?" I asked with a growing curiosity to my unconscious that I somehow can tell was strongly rejecting that this one is Nano.
[SUBROUTINE : NANOMACHINE]
And then it just told me that it was running some of it's interface to act as the Nanomachines to do my bidding.
Nanomachine. They are propagating microscopic creatures who were programmed to obey beings with the appropriate administration rights.
That knowledge is somehow I instinctively know. I wonder how?
Anyway, it seems like my unconscious finally calmed down after that.
So this is the Nanomachine huh... Somehow, I felt that this is also the one Reina uses to use her magic.
Wait!
"Is it harmful to humans if you multiplied? How much did you replicate yourself!?" I was in a panic after the knowledge about the Nanomachines finally sink in.
They can freaking self replicate! Did I just doom the humanity!?
[NEGATIVE]
And then with a single word/action/emotion, it gave an answer that gives me a relief.
It seems like only me have the administrative rights to use it. Other than that, no other human have the right to order it, not even those who are known as the strongest Parahumans. Also, it's not really harmful because it can also act as a normal air.
... Wait, so this one is unique to me?
And I thought I just answered one of the mysteries of Parahuman powers. Maybe I am just that special?

After that, I asked it about what it is and what it can do. I also asked what happens to it after I changed to other forms.
It's answers are somewhat surprising. It seems like it was leeching off of me because I have the potential to become the [SOLUTION] and in exchange, it will let me use it to it's full potential.
It also told me that it was not the source of this weird floating panel, making me more curious just what is with my powers.
It seems like when I was floating on that expansive dark space, it also got stuck with me. It said something about losing it's connection to the main network and was now just living on because of me.
Though when I asked what is the main network, it just gives me images of Scion.
Why does she keep giving me images of Scion? I can't understand!

About me turning into other forms. It seems like she was helping me on anchoring some of my burden whenever I used my powers. She was strangely interested to Mana and Nanomachines and she said that she successfully incorporates it to herself.

Also, she was proud about it.
So she was active behind the scenes since I got my powers huh...
Anyway, it seems like my power is still a mystery. This weird floating panel and the origin of Mana and Nanomachines are still a mystery for the both of us.
Yes, even this Nano (Queenie) was befuddled about the origins of my powers.
... Well, I'll just think about this next time.
Now that I was done talking to her, I need to go to the Dockworker's Union.
I have a lot of EXP once again but I am still not familiar with my other forms so I will add another form next time.
I was planning to use my three other new forms but it was already becoming noon and some gangs might be attacking the DWU again.
I already resolved myself to come back there everyday to check on them. I decided to protect them until I found Dad's location!
But first... I need another disguise. So I need to go back to the dumps to find other rags... again...
