Chapter 9 : Nope, Nothing Happened!

Because I don't have much time, I just manage to patched up some rags that I pick on the dumping site and cleaned it using my magic. I took a lot of dirty rags (some even have a worse stink) and took a lot of my time by just cleaning all of it with my cleaning magic before I put it all in an alternate dimension.

Sicily have an alternate dimensional storage so I think Miles might also have it. I was proven right when I tried it on my way here.

So now, there are a bunch of clean rags inside my dimensional storage. It seems like Miles' dimensional storage have a convenient feature of putting everything in it in a stasis. Well, Sicily also have it but her dimensional storage felt like it have a limit on it.

With Miles, I can feel that it was boundless. There is no limit of things that I can put in there!

Anyway, I go to one corner of an alleyway while makimg sure that there are no nearby people on my surroundings.

It seems like Nano (Queenie) can do almost anything as a Nanomachine. She told me that I can ask her to do everything and she can do it no problem. Though it seems like my administrator level is not high enough to order her to do everything.

What she won't do is to create anything that can cause mass destruction. Things like uranium or any radioactive materials can't be created by her.

Though the Nanomachines can do anything, it seems like Queenie (and yes, I am going to call her that) still have to obey what is programmed for her to do. She said that it was what she was doing since her birth so she was used to it.

I wonder just how Queenie came to be?

... Well, superpowers are real in this world. Even alternate realities are real so I think I shouldn't be sirprised that aliens also exist.

... I don't know why this weird floating panel was basically telling me that I was ignorant.

... Anyway, I ask her to give me some sort of radar to detect if someone is near me.

At first it almost hurts my mind because Nano (Queenie) literally made a radar to detect everyone. This includes the bacteria, the insects, and some other else.

So I told her to limit it to humans and animals and now it was manageable to my mind. It looks like a radar inside my mind that only I can see. It tells me the gender, species, size, and even how far they are in relation to me. Surprisingly, the range of my magical radar is a whopping 10 miles in diameter.

That was crazy!

Anyway, after getting to an uncrowded alleyway, I put some rags on the crate that was lying there before changing into Sicily.

Again, anything that was possessed by the form I am using will be taken along with them when I changed into another form. This included things inside their alternate dimensional storage.

So I need to put the rags I cleanes somewhere so it doesn't get taken along with my transformation.

After becoming Sicily, I pick up the rags and started sewing it by using some bits of my magic. It took me some time but I manage to create a simple scarf.

I don't know how much characters I can put in it and because I wanted to go to the DWU as soon as possible, I'll just play it safe and put 10 ~ 12 characters for my enchantment.

So with that in my mind, I put 知覚遮断 (Perception Interception), 自己修復 (Self Repair), and 存在の隠蔽 (Presence Concealment).

I might have said 10 ~ 12 characters, but it seems like I put 13 characters on my enchantment. I was glad that the scarf wasn't destroyed. It'll take me more time to create another one.

Now that I got a new scarf that can hide my features, I turn back into Miles and wear the scarf.

... I hope that the enchantments of this scarf also works on my other forms. I already know that it works on Sicily but that's because it's her own enchantments. I still didn't test if it will work with my other forms.

If it works then it's great! I will be creating more to outfit each of my forms!

While having that in my mind, I work forward to the Dockworker's Union.

Getting to the DWU took me some minutes on walking. It seems like Miles also have a lot of stamina. I am still not tired even though I walked that far without stopping.

When I got there though, I heard the sound of gunshots imside it.

What!? What is happening!?

With a start, I immediately run towards the DWU.

"... What is happening here!?"

When I got there, I saw a lot of police cars and police officers crouched besides their car to take cover while on the other side, there are a lot of ABB members who are shooting at the side of the police. Though they are also shooting on another direction.

Looking at the side where they are shooting at, I saw that there is a large truck in there.

It doesn't really looks like a truck. It's more like a mix of a bus, a truck, and a tractor with some nozzles in it's windows and a large tank nozzle on top of it roof.

Inside that monstrosity of a truck are a large amount of guys wearing what could be basically called as the most shittiest clothing ever.

I don't see any Capes on the surroundings...

"FUCKERS! GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

And then I heard the shout of a woman echoing all over the place. The voice sounds like it was spoken in a megaphone. The echoing voice came to that amalgamated truck.

... Right, isn't that Squealer? One of the Merchant Capes!

Why are they here!? Are they also targeting the Union!?

I can understand why the ABB here. They might be trying to pressure or even threaten the Union to give up the place to them. They also might be just here to look for me as Reina.

But I still can't understand why the Merchants are here!

Still, this is still just in front of the Union building. The other Union guys might be injured or worse!

I need to save them!

With that in my mind, I quickly rushes towards the conflict, jumping passed through the police officers and their police cars.

... Oh, it seems like I jumped a bit too high...

While having that thought in my mind...

"Nano, create a bunch of water!"

Why I ask for water?

Because there are a lot of flames in the surroundings. I can see some Merchants throwing bottles on the ABB and it bursts into flames on the streets. That's why I need to turn it off before it spreads wide.

There is also a minor reason that a lot of water will be flooding on the streets, sweeping them out and quickly finishing this conflict.

Or that's what I am hoping for.

A large amount of water appears just below me in waves and it splashes on the ground before quickly flooding wide on it's surroundings.

Then I heard the screams of many people in my surroundings.

Both the ABB and the Merchants on the streets were swept up by the flood. The truck where I think Squealer is residing was also swept up and was being flattened by the building were it was swept up and the flood that keeps pushing it on that building.

Though, it also hits the police cars and was currently being sweep up out of this streets along with the police officers.

Ah...

"Oops... I didn't think this through..."

I did say to create a bunch of water. It really was a bunch of it though...

Isn't this a bit too much?

Damn! What is wrong with Queenie!?

I finally managed to land on the flooded ground. The water is still sweeping up through everything but it seems like I am not affected by the strength of the flood huh.

And just like how the water pop into existence, it also vanishes instantly.

I hope I didn't kill anyone, it would be bad if I injured some of those police... wait!

"Oh no! Are they still okay!"

I just remembered that we were in front of the DWU. Did my flood also hit someone there!?

I took a peek on my radar and saw a lot of them are spread out in there.

Quickly, I move towards there and when I got there, I was already sweating in fear.

A lot of Union guys are sprawled on the ground. Some of them are groaning. All of them are soaked.

I was just planning to heal them all when I saw one of the people I can see in my radar was approaching this place too fast.

... Oh crap, that was obviously a Parahuman!

It seems like this Cape coming to me isn't a Flyer because I can't see it's indication passing through the buildings. So it might be a fast runner or something.

So who is the fastest runner on this city?

"Oh... oh my god!"

I realized that it was a hero who is going in this place. A hero is going to this place and some people might have seen me jumping on the police officers and creating that flood!

Right, let's get out of here!

He was still far in my position and before he manages to come here, I will be already gone in this place. I can see whoever is in my surroundings within ten miles. It would be impossible to pased through that in an instant unless they are a teleporter.

So with that, I jumped once again and easily reached the top of the building. Well, it was obvious because I have an unnatural jumping strength.

Then I continued doing that, not looking back at the scene of the crime.

Yeah! Nothing happens! No sir, nothing really happens!

It's not like I messed up or something. I didn't flooded a street accidentally. Nope! Nothing at all!

So another short chapter... sorry about that...

So it's been obvious by some of you reading. Taylor and the character she is using have their personalities mixed. Or more accurately, they are being melded.

Of course Taylor still retains her original personality. She just have something added to her, making her act odd at times.

Anyway, I might write the reaction of some people about this event or I might just continue on Taylor's perspective. I don't know what I will be doing on those two so we shall see...
