Chapter 10 : The Prodigious Doctor & The Filolial Queen Candidate

It took me a short time before I manage to come back at my hideout. Of course I checked my radar first if there are any people nearby before going inside the abandoned building.

I call this my hideout but there is nothing in there that indicates someone is living there. I am not really sleeping or eating so it wasn't like I needed a bed or a food.

Though I am missing the taste of a food. I think Nanomachines can turn themselves into food but I won't be very comfortable knowing that the food I will be eating are made of Nanomachines.

... Yep, let's not think about that!

Now then, since I won't be doing anything anyway, let's find what my other new forms can do.

So about my new forms. Who should I try first?

Right, let's try turning into this person called Keine Kanzaki.

So I imagined myself turning into Keine. Then the feeling of the scarf I am wearing vanished. I also felt a weight on my chest.

Looking below, I found out that I have a large chest and it seems like I was fairly tall. Not really as tall as the original me but I was taller than my previous forms.

I grab some of my hair and pull it in my vision to see it. I saw that I was blonde.

Along with that, I am wearing what can be considered as a lab coat. Or maybe this is a hospital gown.

Oh, and it seems like I suddenly got a large amount of knowledge about medicines, surgeries, medical jargons, and everything I need to know as a nurse and a doctor. Now I even know about the basic Hippocratic Oath that most doctors or any medical personal abides to before healing someone.

... I see, so that's why I saw Panacea on the internet always asking that when touching someone. It's basically a rule.

And it seems like when I was Sicily, I didn't even ask the person I am healing. That's already a breach of code, even if I am doing it out of goodwill.

But well, it doesn't matter anyway. If I can heal them, I will do it. It seems like I am not that averse with this kind of thoughts even though my form is someone who is very knowledgeable about medical knowledge. My current form might even be a medical practitioner.

Anyway, did she have any abilities?

Now that I knew that this girl might have been a doctor or something, I need to look at my next form.

So I think of becoming Filo next.

The weird feeling on my chest is gone and in turn, I felt a weird extension on my back. It's like something that was already there with me. Like limbs but instead of arms and legs, it was somewhat expansive in my back.

I look around me and just noticed that I became shorter again. I am much more shorter than when I was Miles.

Looking below me, I saw that I was wearing a white dress with blue polka dots in it. It also felt fluffy and comfortable by just wearing it. It seems like I was alsp blonde in this form as seen by the strands of hair in my periphery.

So this one is more younger than Miles huh?

Anyway, let's see what Filo can do.

Right, so Filo's species is called Filolial. Is that a species of bird that I am not aware of?

Or wait, maybe I am using an alien bird with the form of a female?

But what can this bird... this Filolial can do? Shoot lasers in the eyes? Fly like a real bird?

I tried making that feeling of naturalness moves me before suddenly, I was already running towards the wall.

The whole broken parts of the building suddenly were being repaired simultaneously. All the dirt and the webs are floating on the air and were being thrown outside the building.

Oh... that's a lot of insects and dirt there... can't you just destroy all of that... I just see something I shouldn't have seen!

And then all those floating insects were suddenly burned with the flames that appeared in mid air before vanishing into nothingness.

While this is happening, the whole building felt like it was going back in time because every broken debris and parts of the buildings floated and go to the walls and ceilings of the buildings before assimilating to those walls and ceilings. The cracks on each building were slowly being mended. Also, the windows suddenly were having glasses in it.

Now then, I need to get out of here. I can see on my radar that the people staying on the other side of the warehouse that the wall debris I kicked hit were moving towarsds this place.

I know that there are four people living just at the other side of the warehouse near this building. I still used this building as a hideout because they are fairly far than here.

But now that I just did something that loud, I need to get out of here.

I just repaired the building because I felt guilty doing that without stopping myself.

"Oh right, can you also fix that warehouse please before I leave?"

And with that, Nano (Queenie) make short work of the warehouse besides the repaired building before I left that place.

Ugh... I need to find another place to hide again...

Lisa was startled when a loud noise was heard near their hideout.

[An attack. Not an attack. The sound came from the other side of the warehouse near the hideout. The sound was from a debris moving at an insane speed towards the warehouse next to this place. The debris hit that warehouse because of a Parahuman. A new Parahuman. Likely a new Trigger. Was just testing powers. Power is super strength. Strength is enough to let a debris fly as fast as a bullet. The new trigger doesn't know much about his power. The new trigger is-]

Lisa shook her head out of her thoughts. She was having a headache because her of her powers.

The door to her room was roughly opened and from there peeks the head of their leader, Grue.

"Hey Lisa, put your costume. There might be a Cape attacking our base" Grue said to her before turning back.

Lisa was just going to tell him that it was just a new trigger but Grue is already out of her room. So she runs towards him in a hurry to tell him about her conclusion.

After convincing them that the one who did that is not attacking and was just testing their powers, they finally decided to see things for themselves before they either fight the new trigger or recruit them if they are amenable.

But it seems like they are in for a surprise.

When they got outside, they are surprised when the warehouse besides them is as pristine as it can. It looks very new.

It doesn't look like the warehouse that they always passed through whenever they come to their base. Also, it shouldn't be in this state if it was supposed to be hit by a large debris.

"Wow... whoever is this new guy, he can do a makeover" That was Alec who said that. "Hey, can we hire that guy. I want the TV to look new" he added.

"Not the time, Regent" Grue scolded him after getting out of his surprise.

While this is happening, Lisa is having another horrible realization.

[The new trigger is not alone. Another Parahuman. Another Parahuman is a Tinker. He is specialized in making microscopic machines that can propagate on itself. Propagation already spans the whole country. Reproduces exponentionally depending on how many it is. The microscopic machines were already inside your body. The whole world will end sooner]

"Hey Tattletale... Tattletale... TATTLETALE!"

Grue rushes to her side when he saw Tattletale becoming unconscious, her mouth is foaming and only the white of her eyes can be seen.

Once again, she was having a horrible misunderstanding.
