They managed to find a booth. Bismuth sitting in between Pearl and Garnet with Amethyst and Jasper sitting on their other side.
"So, what are we getting ladies?" Bismuth questions but something tells Jasper that she is only talking to Garnet and Pearl. A shared look with Amethyst shows that she's thinking the same thing.
"I'm not really hungry. I'll take a bagel and some coffee," Pearl answers.
"And you Garnet?" Bismuth places her hand on Garnet's knee.
Jasper notices but keeps quiet as Garnet hums.
"I don't know quite yet," Garnet answers before turning to Jasper. "What do you think or want Jasper?"
Jasper shrugs her shoulders. "I don't know. We could share a platter?"
Garnet hums and nods her head. "The breakfast platter we used to get." Garnet remembers, a smile pulling at the corners of her lips.
Jasper smiles too. So, she's remembers that night too? Jasper thinks to herself.
The first time Jasper and Garnet got the breakfast platter, they were on their first overnight date. They had a movie-date the night before and Garnet fell asleep. When they woke up the next morning, Jasper brought her here. Jasper hasn't been here since she and Garnet broke up.
"Sound good," Amethyst jumps in, pulling Jasper from her thoughts.
Jasper looks over at Garnet, who was staring at her; a distant look in her eyes.
Jasper gently grabs Garnet's hand, intertwining their fingers.
Garnet looks away from Jasper but gives Jasper's hand a squeeze before she releases it.
"Hey, long time no see," the waitress smiles as she spots Garnet and Jasper at the table.
Jasper smiles. "Hey Rai, yeah it has been a while."
The waitress nods and pulls out her notepad. "Nice to see y'all back together, y'all were always a cute couple." The waitress gushes.
Garnet and Jasper glance at each other.
"Oh, we're not .." Garnet starts but trails off.
The waitress eyes widen and a bright pink blush covers her cheeks. "Oh, I'm sorry." She drops her head, clearing her throat as she did. "W-What can I get y'all?"
Bismuth looks at the two before sighing. "Can we have two breakfast platters and a side of two bagels. Can you make it orange juice and coffee for all of us?" Bismuth smiles at the waitress, causing her to blush even more.
"S-Sure thing, I'll be right back with your drinks." The waitress shoots Jasper and Garnet an apologetic look.
"So, did y'all come here a lot?" Bismuth questions.
"Yeah, when we were dating. Haven't been here since we broke up." Jasper does not look at Garnet while she speaks.
"I'm surprised she even remembered us," Garnet adds.
"We bought a lot of breakfast platters." Jasper chuckles and Garnet smiles at it.
"Y'all are absolutely going to love the breakfast platter. Pearl," Garnet turns towards Pearl. "Are you sure you don't wanna try it?"
"I-I'm sure. I'm honestly not that hungry," Pearl replies.
"Yo, what's on this breakfast platter?" Amethyst asks.
Garnet looks at Jasper. "Correct me if I'm wrong Jasper." Garnet turns to look at the rest of the group. "There's sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes,"
"Pancakes?" Pearl interrupta. Garnet nods her head. "Maybe I will try it."
"You can have mine, you know I don't eat pancakes." Amethyst offers.
"You don't eat pancakes Amethyst?" Bismuth asks surprised.
"Nah, it's a texture thing. I'll take waffles over pancakes."
"There's options; they have a platter with waffles, pancakes, or French toast," Jasper adds.
"And why are you just now telling us?" Amethyst crosses her arms over her chest. "The food is already ordered." Amethyst huffs afterwards.
Garnet shakes her head and lets out a chuckle. "We can always change the order. Would you like waffles instead?"
Amethyst glances at Pearl. "Nah, it's cool. P can have my pancakes."
Garnet hums but leans over none the less to whisper in Jasper's ear for her to order Amethyst a waffle platter.
Jasper nods and gets up out the booth. She straightens her clothes before she heads over to the counter.
"Oh, hello. Sorry about earlier," the same waitress says as Jasper approaches the counter.
"You're fine. Don't worry about it. Can we add a waffle platter to our-," Jasper pauses as she changes her mind. "Matter of fact, just add the waffle platter to my bill." Jasper reaches in her pocket and pulls out her credit card.
The waitress smiles and takes Jasper's card. After charging Jasper's card, she hands it back to her with her number attached to it.
When Jasper notices she looks up at the waitress and smiles. "What's this?"
The waitress blushes. "I know it's impromptu of me and if not rude." The waitress glances over at Garnet quickly before turning back to Jasper. "Y'all two were really cute together and still are. But since y'all not together, I was just shooting my shot."
Jasper raises an eyebrow. She chuckles and smiles. "I mean, we ain't together, so no harm no foul." Jasper pockets her card and her number.
The waitress smiles at Jasper. "You're food will be up soon. Do you mind taking y'all drinks?"
Jasper raises an eyebrow but shrugs her shoulders. "Sure, I waitressed way back when." Jasper follows with a chuckle.
"Thank you. I just have so many tables." The waitress apologies as she grabs a tray and place their drinks on it.
"No problem." Jasper grabs the trays and makes her way back over to Garnet and the others.
"Couldn't wait?" Bismuth jokes as Jasper places the tray on their table.
Jasper's eye twitches but if you didn't know her well, you couldn't tell. "Ha ha, yeah." Jasper jokes as she takes her seat next to Garnet.
"Thank you," Garnet says as she grabs Jasper's hand, giving it a squeeze.
Jasper's smile softens as she squeezes back. "Welcome."
"How'd you end up with the drinks Jasper?" Amethyst questions pouring herself and Pearl cups of coffee.
"She needed help." Jasper shrugs and reaches for the coffee container from Amethyst.
"Mmm. That it, cause y'all sure we're chatting up a storm." Bismuth chimes in.
Jasper goes to tighten her fist but Garnet's hand stops hers. "She was also apologising for her earlier comment. But she said our food will be up soon."
Jasper takes a sip of her coffee ignoring Garnet staring at her.

"Sorry for the wait," the waitress apologies as she places their food on the table.
"You're fine," Jasper offers as she grabs one platter from the waitress, sliding it towards Bismuth.
"Is there anything else I can get you?" The waitress hands Pearl her bagels before tucking the tray under her arm.
"No thank you," Garnet says as she slides the second platter closer to herself and Jasper.
The waitress smiles before turning and leaving the five.
"You were right Garnet, I love this platter." Bismuth says with a laughs as she picks at the platter.
Garnet hums as she grabs a plate from the center of the table and begins picking what she wants off the platter.
Jasper watches as Garnet picks what she wants. It isn't until Garnet goes to grab the last of the sausage patties that Jasper stops her by sticking a fork in it.
Garnet snaps her head up, her gaze questioning yet challenging Jasper's.
Jasper smiles. "Any other time, I would've let you."
Garnet laughs but releases the sausage patty. "This time."
Jasper raises an eyebrow at Garnet's statement but otherwise says nothing. She eats what's left on the platter.
..
"We should go dancing," Bismuth throws out as they finish eating.
Jasper and Amethyst shoot each other a glance before turning to look at Pearl and Garnet.
"We as in?" Garnet questions.
Bismuth laughs. "All of us here. I know y'all come as a packaged deal."
"Excuse me," Jasper interrupts as she stands and exits the dinner.
Jasper can feel Garnet's eyes on her as she leaves.
