"So what the hell is in the box Double Dee?" Eddy snapped towards me.

"Oh why Eddy, it's Nazz's present of course!" I exclaimed slightly confused " I mean it is her birthday and…" I stared off realizing neither one of my friends carried any sort of gift with them. I snapped back at Eddy, "Why don't either of you have a gift for her?

"Sockedhead you stop getting gifts when you start having booz involved...Anyway that's all anyone even shows up for, not because it's someone's birthday".

Ed shouted from behind us, "yeah well I show us to see what kinda toste people can make," and could barely contain his laughter, "oh and also to see what kinda butter people they are, you can tell alot about a person based on the butter they choose to use!"

We all burst out laughing almost to the point of crying. Ed has become aware of his strange wandering mind and now uses it to make others laugh. No one now laughs at him but with him and the weird thoughts he says out loud.

"Lumpy you're still just so odd," Eddy shook his head while still laughing.

As we reached Nazz's house I began to realize how many people were at this party. There were cars covering the cud-is-sac and I wondered why no one has ever called the cops on party's like this. I mean they all know what is going on with the underage during and whatnot that goes with these parties.

As I was deep in my thoughts I realized that the other Ed's went busting through the door as if it was their own home. " EDDY, you can't just walk into someone's house like that," I tried to whisper to stop them but was too late. I was appalled at their lack of respect for others homes, but before I could scold them they had both vanished from my side. Eddy was already helping himself to the liquid courage he would need to try and get in Lee Kanker's pants tonight. He has been pining over her since she gave up on trying to date him when they were younger and went after some rich kid from the town over. They didn't work out well but it gave her more respect for herself to not keep trying for a guy who never showed interest. The only thing was as soon as she didn't give him the time of day he realised he was crazy about her. So now he is the one painting after her, but she loves the attrition he now gives her and really makes him work for it. It drives him nuts, and because he has issues expressing any emotions he has to drink before he can try and talk with her. I definitely pity him for not being able to just tell her how he feels. They have hooked up a few times but he always stops it before they go all the way because he is so nervous about fucking up. He would never say this out loud but he loves her and could not stand to lose her. But all he does is drink to avoid any meaningful contact with her.

I looked around to try and find where Ed had gone off to and found him at his favorite place in anyone's house, staring at their tv. It's off like usual but you couldn't tell from his face. He loves to stare at the screen and imagine his story's coming to life in front of his eyes. If you ever sat next to him while he was watching you could almost see what he was too. I have been helping him out for months to teach him how to make the story's in his head translate to writing. He really struggles but as he dictates his story to me I get to watch his work actually come to life. We have actually almost finished his first full book 'It came from the dark' and he has matured in his stories so much. His first short story we did together was 'The bloodsuckers from planet X attack' and I still think that is my favorite.

I realized I have been stuck in my head, and in the doorway, for way too long when I hear, "Yo double Dweeb...shit i mean Dee," it was Kevin Barr. "How's it hangin" he asked me with a smile on his face. I was caught off guard, me and Kevin have never really been friends. There was a summer in middle school we became quite close but for some reason as soon as school started back up he was back to the distant bully he has always been. Over the years the teasing has tapered off a great deal for me, but he still has a great deal of hate for Eddy. " You wanna drink? I see dorko over there and haven't wasted anytime getting one." he scowled looking over at Eddy. It was probably all of Eddy's get rich quick scams that caused Kevin to dislike all of us but if I remember correctly after that summer in middle school his hatred for Eddy felt stronger.

"Greeting kevin. Why thank you but no thanks." I was trying to not be awkward but I could feel my hands start to sweat. "Drinking only numbs the brain and causes you to act out and is actually quite dangerous and addictive," I rambled off. "Do you know where I would find Nazz? I have her gift and I would enjoy wishing her happy birthday." I squeaked out while holding out the box I wrapped this morning out.

"Yeah I think she is outside," he chuckled, "I will get her for you.

He wondered out to go get her before I could thank him. I just registered that I have been holding my breath for a while. I let the air go from my lungs and tried to slow my heart rate that was out of control. Why was I so nervous? It has been so long since Kevin has done anything violent to me so why am I sweating?Maybe I should have one drink...
