Preface - This is to state that any of these require a squadron - 3 teams - of especially skilled huntsman to defeat with 30% casualties. This means that they are usually left alone, which is a problem, so they are standing notices in the academies. It is just as well that there are only 20 known ones, with there being only one or two of a species of Grimm.
Izhar the Ravager - a drake, acid spitting flying grimm.
Rhazien of Vale Mountain - a Wyvern with the capability to spawn more grimm
This one is known to be dormant, though who knows when it will awaken?
Carpathis the Crushing bone wheel - a boarbatusk.
Eldritch Fade - of the Apathy, only one Huntsman has ever escaped with their life.
Villalobos - sea feilong, no breath attacks, but is mobile on all avenues of movement.
Imperia Maxus - a Beowolf the size of an Ursa Major and boarbatusk strong armor.
Loren of Atlas - a Beringel that wanders the tundra, North of Atlas
Obsidian Stalker - A 3 story Creep, who can move at the speed of a bullhead.
Nealuchi - a Geist that is possessing the remains of Mountain Glenn, but recently has ignored humanity for no known reason.
Labyrinth of the desert- a Leviathan stomping in the fields south of Mistral. Nobody knows why it isn't in the water.
Vexaccion - of the Ravager species, it flies between the continents for unknown reasons.
Zaphara - a Teryx with a wingspan of nearly 80 feet.
Ectharois - a sphinx, though it's head is the size of a bullhead.
This one is also dormant, blocking a mountain pass between Vacuo and Vale.
Torneau - a Sabyr(tiger shaped) the size of a bus.
Vail Mortem - the only known repeat, Vail is a drake, and is known to act as a right hand to Izhar. Dangerous in it's own right, it rarely strays far from Izhar.
Caida - one of the worst, a nuckelavee with time to spare, it is the only one that is not biding its time right now, and tends to attack settlements around the deserts of Mistral.
Enigma is the name given to a Lancer that flies around the Gravity Dust islands but does not attack humans in this area.
Thairmena - a King Taijitu that tends to slither by Vale every few decades or so, roughly as tall as an elephant when the grimm is laying down.
The only interesting one according to some, Talon hasn't killed to our knowledge, but has survived within the city limits of Mistral for decades.
The only notable Griffon, Zolashade makes only the moves she intended to make. We cannot count on the aid of her nemesis, Zaphara, and full brunt force of her weapons

Oobleck - coffee cup/mace fire dust cannon- Blink - Oobleck moves, speaks, and thinks at speeds that leave anyone without a speed semblance spinning, but is insanely intelligent, and thinks far enough ahead that he rarely is drawn into a trap, even when paired against the overwhelming intellect of a legendary Grimm, of which he has faced 3 and lived to tell of.
Port - blunderbuss axe - Aegis - He may seem boring and exaggeratory at first, but he is one of the strongest huntsmen here. He does not move often during confrontations, which is his advantage against aura using opponents due to their lack of experience against opponents of that style. He is as often saved by the defense of his semblance in major confrontations. He has fought and survived against 17 legendary Grimm in his long career before his retirement into teaching.

RPRJ (team Reapers [Re-purg(j)e phonetically] - color relation: makes me think of the color black, like the grim reaper, or red like blood from a cut, also Ruby's weapon. {She will be known as "Vale's Blood Reaper" later in the story.})
DYWN (team drown: color relation: drown makes me think of darkness(black) and the deep blue of far underwater. Also sounds like Brown.) Yang and Nora beat up on Dove cuz he still bullies at first,
BRCL(team Barkley: color relation thinks of black ink blotches because gnarls barkley) Blake's heritage will be revealed before the winter break, and Cardin will try to kill her, but RPRJ will step in and help curb his bias towards at the very least not plain idiotic and liable to get him dead or imprisoned.

Note abt weapons - a space means it is both at the same time, an 'and' means they are separate, and a slash means mechashift forms.
Ruby Rose - High Impact Sniper Scythe aka anti-material sniper rifle/great-scythe combo - momentum control - increased reaction time, extremely talented at the aura step, a high speed movement aura skill. Thought at first to be her semblance, due to the unintentional excess use of aura causing rose petals to follow her movement. Silver eyes, though untapped.
Pyrrha Nikos - Xiphos/hunting rifle/throwing spear & a shield. - Metalkenisis - skilled in most aspects of Huntsman life.
Lie Ren - machine pistols trench knives - negative emotion cloaking - possibly an Aura Wielder. Very skilled with raw aura manipulation
Jaune Arc - Bastard Sword and Kite Shield - damage reflection - extremely talented, but completely untrained as of entrance. Ruby, Ren, and Pyrrha did well making him branch out.
Dove Bronzewing - shortsword and hand cannon pair - Faith. - skilled with his weapons and aura, but his attitude needs fixing. I expect Xiao-Long and Valkyrie will fix it.
Yang Xiao-Long - shotgun gauntlets/decorative bracelets - conditional strength boost - hotheaded, no pun intended. Bad idea to put on same team as Valkyrie.
Weiss Schnee - MDL Rapier - Schnee Glyphs - skilled swordswoman, but takes perfection too seriously. Haughty holier-than-thou attitude. Not a good leader.
Nora Valkyrie - grenade launcher/warhammer - lightning augmentation - should cut the electricity to their room before she electrocutes herself and punches the building into oblivion.
Blake Belladonna - chain Scythe/katana/smg - shadow clones - good with all 3 forms of weapon, would endorse her telling her team of her faunus heritage, but no, because obviously.
Cardin Winchester - red dust mace - Berserk - faunus hating extremist, needs to be watched for hostile intention. Hope that Belladonna fixes this before white fang past comes out.
Russel Thrush - gravity dust daggers - cloud of cover - cowardly, and everything about him reflects that. Despite this, he is here to fight and he knows his limits well. He just needs to learn when it's worth it to test those limits
Sky Lark - Wind dust axe - Kinetic Burst - doesn't tend to think for himself. If Belladonna's heritage comes to light before she breaks Cardin of his beliefs, she will be assaulted and likely killed. They must be broken from all habits. Note - his aura is extremely efficient in defensive positions, though he seems to have little of it.
Partner Profiles-
Ruby + Ren - With his pre-battle planning skills and her improvisational skills, they would have complete control over the field when in command. She would do well to listen to him pre-battle, and Ren will default to Ruby as leader.
Pyrrha + Jaune - both use the same style, and Pyrrha can teach Jaune to learn well. He will be strong because she is there to help him along. They will be an impressive pair when they need to protect someone else.
Weiss + Nora - likely going to end horribly. Really I should have defaulted to composing the teams myself and had the partnering system be temporary.
Dove + Yang - Dove is intelligent and thoughtful, but Yang will not listen to a word he says during battle. Will work out fine after the resident tanks break his bullying habit. He also has sword skill to rival Pyrrha, but not the versatility she has.
Blake + Cardin - doomed from the start, and if it cannot be solved by winter break, they will be switched.
Russel + Sky - they think like sheep, but work well together, and if Cardin doesn't interfere, they would make a formidable pair. No doubt Cardin will actively sabotage them to soothe his ego.

He apparently didn't know not to threaten someone who spends time in a Dust shop.
