'The Devil's Nachos' One Shot Story (Netflix Series)

"What if...what if from now on if we make it… wherever you run, I-I run with you," Matt proposed the idea.

"You're not serious," Elektra looked at him in disbelief. She didn't want to get her hopes up because she envisions her future with him regularly.

"I've never been more serious."

"This...This is part of me I need, and you-you're the only one who gets it...without this... I'm not alive, not really...and I know that now, thanks to you….I don't know what we are together...and if we have any chance in the future...but I do know, I am free with you, like with no one else." he expressed to her.

"You hide from yourself...y-you don't let anyone in," she mentioned to him.

"You...I let you in..." the blind vigilante admitted. "Think about it, what if this isn't the end...what if it is just the beginning," He added. The back of her hand grazed his cheek. He smiled at her touch on his face.

"They'll find us-"

"No...we'll keep moving, we'll change identities... we'll hide, they'll never catch us

...what do you say?"

"Uh-I say let's go to London, yeah? Madrid, Tunisia... they are sexy places to hide…" Elektra smiled at him.

"Hey-I've never been farther North than 116th street...so…" he mentions with a smile.

"Because you love New York…"

"And I would give my life for it but...there is one thing that makes me feel more alive..., and that's you."

-Matthew Murdock to Elektra

...

What if Matthew left everything in New York, to run away with Elektra? (After Season 2)

One month later.

All was peace and quiet in the city of London, England.

According to Elektra Natchios, no place in the world is a sexier hideout than the capital of England. As the beautiful buildings towered over London's citizens. The sound of citizens bike riding on London streets was satisfying to hear. The sound of birds chirping outside was soothing. The calm winds flowed throughout the city. And that soothing air rushed into the bright Penthouse room.

This peaceful atmosphere was unlike any other place Matthew Murdock experienced.

Currently, Matt, who was dressed in only his silk underwear, was stretched out on the soft, cosy luxurious silk bed. 'The blind lawyer' was exhausted from the previous night because he and Elektra had a busy night.

The typical night for lovers to have. Fighting criminals in the city of London, at night ...you know, 'normal.' It was their first night out in London's Streets. However, like in Hell's Kitchen, Matt still sustained minor scrapes and scratches all over his chest and arms. Sure those 'minor' injuries hurt at the moment. Still, those were inevitable in the late-night adventure that they would face...together.

Just then, the sound of the door opening alarmed Matt's sensitive hearing. His body immediately jumped off the luxurious silk of the bed, and his feet landed on the sleek, walnut floors. However, he was unfazed. He heard their heartbeat.

It was loud and clear. The way the particular person breathed was all too familiar to him.

...It was just her.

That 'her' was Elektra Natchios, Matt's gorgeous, loving but an occasional psychopath, of a 'partner.' Ellie had just come from her morning coffee run. She entered the luxurious room of her London Penthouse with two cups of Starbucks coffee in her hands.

"Good morning Matthew," she greeted him by handing him a cup of coffee. "The nearest Starbucks didn't have black coffee."

"It's fine, I've gotten used to the coffee from the office. By the way, on your right hand, you're holding hmm...what I believe is caramel."

"For a man, like yourself, I would believe you would want the darkest flavour coffee."

"Caramel is not that dark of a colour."

"And how would you know that?"

"I just know."

She smirked at him, but quickly that smirk would disappear as her eyes glanced down on her coffee cup. Elektra observed her coffee cup, and saw something odd, "Matthew, they messed up my name…again."

"Elektra, how bad could it be?" He barely sipped on his own coffee.

"This is the second time I've been to that Starbucks and the barista put 'Electra'...with a C!"

"It isn't that bad." Matt pointed out to her.

"It gets even worse…" she added.

"Oh, God."

"Instead of Natchios...s-she put…"

"She put what, Elektra?" He asked.

"... S..." she finally croaked.

The silence in the room would be quickly broken.

"E-Electra's NACHOS." he broke down in laughter with his coffee in his hand. At that moment, Matt completely cracked up, with the brightest smile across his face. The Blind lawyer rarely chuckled, but when the rare occasion came, his smile grew across his face and was brighter than the sun itself. 'That must be some smile.'

Elektra, herself tried not to smile at the play of words or her name, but the sight of his bright smile was too handsome to resist. 'I haven't seen him laugh in such a while'

"Aren't you the comedian, Matthew?" she sarcastically mentioned.

"With an accent as prominent as yours, I'm not surprised they messed up your name by this point."

"My accent isn't that strong..."

"It is, when you introduced yourself at that party, I really thought...your last name was Nachos."

"Matthew!"

"I'm telling you the truth, even when I introduced myself as Matt Murdock...you immediately called me Matthew."

"That's not true, Matthe-... crap… drink your damn coffee," she hilariously stammered.

Once their Starbucks coffee was finished, they had a traditional London breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans and tomatoes to top it off. London's Breakfast sounded delicious to Matt, but he missed his waffles that he would usually get by a local diner.

After Breakfast was finished, Elektra decided to wash the dishes left from Breakfast.

Elektra observed Matt, who was shirtless. His scars were prominent. Many, many scars covered Matt's chest, it looked unbearable to experience the pain. She saw the cuts on his face that he received from the previous night and they were uncomparable to his other scars. She had her own collection of cuts but they were unlike Matt's.

But he remained unfazed, like those wounds didn't hurt. But the expression on his scruffy face never told the full story. Some thought Matthew Murdock was emotionless.

Often in the "Nelson and Murdock" law office, Matthew remained unfazed. Even though he was broken and bruised inside. Beaten brutally the previous night, it took a toll on him. Those fights may have been won, but it doesn't mean that a slash to the chest or a knife wound was avoided.

However, Matt Murdock had to keep it to himself, keep all the injuries, all the emotional toll, to himself. Keep it together with a mask.

Eventually when his best college friend, Foggy Nelson learned of Matt's secret, he was obviously worried. He didn't want him to come home with knife wounds to his back and blood all over his palms. But it could be worse, he may not come home at all. Even some nights, Foggy laid in his bed, worried that the next day he would find his best friend, in his apartment, dead. The other person was his Catholic priest who knew about his different life in the dark, but couldn't relate to him, only listened to his night adventures.

However, the only individual who understood Matthew's vigilante life was Elektra Natchios. Sure, they had different moral codes and all...but she understood his life in the dark.

Only Her.

She fought alongside Matt on multiple occasions and loved that adrenaline rush, every single night. The sound of those meaty punches, and the glass shattering. Or the sensation of blood splatter on her skin brought chills down to her spine,

Violence intrigued her. The Adrenaline Rush intrigued her. For her, it was a fun game. Being with her Matthew was an adrenaline rush filled game.

"Wasn't… wasn't last night fun Matthew?" She acknowledged their adventure from last night.

However, Matt remained in silence, while he changed into his clothes to start off the day.

Usually he would respond, because it was unlike him not to. She knew something was off about him.

"Sure, we may have been rusty, but it's the first time we've been out there in a mo-"

Matt interrupted, "Elektra, last night…"

"I know… I know… we may have to move to a new destination… hm, do you want to go to Madrid or Tunisia next?" she continued.

"Elektra..."

"Fine. Didn't you have fun?" She questioned.

"Yeah… I did. However, I've been thinking… about this."

This left her confused, the Matt she knew was either blunt, specific or honest. But being vague was unlike him. "You've never been so vague before...what do you mean?"

"I-I mean, this… this whole 'running away from New York'... I'm regretting it" he expanded this thought.

At that moment, Elektra grew silent. She grabbed the last plate and aggressively dried it with the towel.

"I know...I was the one who brought this idea up in the first place… and turns out I'm the regretful one…" Matt acknowledged.

"You...you regret fleeing New York?" she clarified.

"Yes. I do. I regret leaving my city...my family and my responsibility"

"...with me?" she continued.

"What?"

"Do you regret fleeing home because of… me?" Ellie clarified.

"No… no, no-no… Elektra," he went towards her direction. He slowly rubbed her shoulders and reassured her with his bright smile, "You are the reason why I'm happy here."

"You-You're serious?" she stuttered.

"I've never been more serious… I woke up in the past month in a different city that I'm not familiar with. I would be uncomfortable and overwhelmed. But, I would roll over on the bed, and I feel you by my side. Then, I know why I left home. To be with you," he expressed with such a smile, she believed him. He embraced her from behind as she finished with the dishes. She turned to face him and softly put her hand on his cheek.

"Matthew…" she mouthed.

"But…but if you want to live… like this. Constantly on the run… away from all of this chaos… I don't want to be in the way… of that… of your happiness," he expressed to her

"Matthew… you were never in the way of my happiness… you know that…

my whole life, I've been prepared for war. That was my purpose.

Then I met you at that party… then everything shifted. You were the only person I've ever fallen for but… I ran... realized that you deserved better.

Ever since I've been trying to live for something for these past ten years… and I realized I found it long ago.

It's you, Matthew. When I first laid eyes on you, I realized there's something… someone to live for… instead of this war. Without you… I won't feel alive… and I… I'm done running away from you," she quietly expressed.

Matt smiled to himself because he knew there weren't any lies in what she said. He embraced her, close to his chest. Elektra burrowed her head into his chest. She knew his embrace was all she wanted for the rest of her life.

Just his quiet embrace.

Elektra looked up at him. "All I ever truly wanted was an eternity of feeling your skin. I don't care where we are. If we are Madrid, London, or New York… I will be fulfilled when it's just you and I… because I want to run with you."

Matt lowered his face and softly kissed her cheek. Then slowly laid his forehead upon hers. A genuine smile grew across both their faces.

"I guess… our next destination… is Hell's Kitchen." he whispered to her. She used her hand to guide his face toward hers. And aggressively pecked his lips.

"Let's pack." She quickly pulled away.

Later into the day, both their luggage was packed, filled with all of their belongings, especially their 'body armour.' They were ready to leave for New York the next morning. Everything was packed, and their Penthouse would be put on sale for the following day.

"What food do you want for our last meal here, in London?" she asked.

"Hm…Elektra, does London offer Nachos?" Matt grinned at her.

"Dammit Matthew," Elektra rolled her eyes with an everlasting smile.

Similar to London, the neighbourhood of Hell's Kitchen had its beautiful buildings, that towered over its citizens. However, the sound of a citizen's bike riding would be masked by the noise of muggings in alleys. Or masked by the sound of potential victims' screams, or the sound of guard dogs' vicious barking, and stood their ground against the intruder. But those weren't the sounds that remained with Matt Murdock. It was the sound of children who played with a worn-out soccer ball beside their loving parents, as they walked along the sidewalk. That was the sound of pure joy. It was a sound of hope for Matt because he wanted a similar future with Elektra. To walk on a sidewalk, beside his bride and his children.

It was a dream. It was the dream. It was his dream. It was their dream.

The End.

TheTypingAvocado's Message

This is a 'WHAT IF' scenario. This situation would have affected "The Defenders" series and Season 3 of Daredevil.

Here are my thoughts on each season of Daredevil

Season One (10/10): Excellent! The season starts off great and ends off GREAT. Also, It looked beautiful and astounding. I realized how compelling this season was, I loved it.

Wilson Fisk was great! Foggy and Matt are the BEST DAMN AVOCADOS OF LAW ever. Plus, I had a crush on the Karen.3

Season Two (8.5/10): First, Frank Castle was spectacular. The 'rooftop' argument between the two vigilantes was a highlight in the whole series. It's interesting to understand these two vigilantes' ideologies and how they believe they are right.

Elektra was stupendous. As said before, the Matt & Elektra dynamic kept me going through the rest of the season. It's weird how I shipped Matt and Karen before the 5th Episode… then BOOM. Now I'm crushing on Elodie Yung, the actress of Elektra, how odd. 3

However, the Blacksmith, The Black Sky, The Hand and Karen's later story were uninteresting. Another thing, Elektra and the Punisher NEVER INTERACTED and the one scene where they are 'together,' she's dead. They could've been blood buddies!

Overall, a great, underrated season, but the second half was weak.

Season 3 (100/10): The BEST SEASON. The true hero of this season is Agent Ray Nadeem. Wilson Fisk embodies the KINGPIN and Dex is very interesting and complex as 'Bullseye.' Foggy, Karen and Matt were strong as their character growth was great. The ending was satisfying. It's a shame that the show was cancelled, but they ended it on a strong note. THIS SEASON WAS THE BEST!

PAGE, MURDOCK, AND NELSON ATTORNEYS AT LAW!

Daredevil … the best out there.

Thank you for spending the time to read "The Devil's Nachos"
