"Te he! What is it that you want to show me Kristoff?"
Kristoff smiled excitedly as he pulled his girlfriend by the hand. Seeing as it was a beautiful day, he had set up a picnic for him and Anna near the cliffs that overlooked the city. "Just you wait; I think you'll love it."
Anna giggled, the sound sending flutters to Kristoff's heart.
"Hang on, we're almost there!"
The couple made it to the top of the hill, but instead of the picnic Kristoff had worked so hard to prepare, it was Elsa's frozen body, Olaf's snow flurry, and the ruins of Arendelle that they found. Anna's excited face twisted into an expression of horror as her grip on his hand loosened.
"Anna! I–I don't know what–!"
"How could you Kristoff?!" Anna screamed, tears pricking her soft, bluebell eyes. "How could you do this to me?!"
Kristoff tried to speak, but no words came out. Anna sprinted to her sister's side, clinging to her and weeping.
"Anna–!"
Kristoff jumped up from his bed, sweat clinging to his forehead. The nightmare felt so real, but he knew Anna would never turn on him like that. Right?
Cautiously standing up from the ground he had slept on, Kristoff made his way to Grandpabie. He ran his hand through his hair to try and make it neater, stiffening a yawn. "Grandpabie, do you know where Anna is?"
The old rock troll looked towards the ground reluctantly, obviously hiding something.
"What are you not telling me?!" Kristoff demanded, his voice rising with every vowel he spoke.
Grandpabie looked back up. "The princess left at first sunrise. She told me not to let you follow her. I'm sorry…"
Anger and panic filled Kristoff at the news; he should have known something like this was going to happen. Pulling on his coat, the rugged outdoorsman began making his way to the forest.
"She never told me where she was going," Grandpabie called.
Kristoff turned his head slightly, momentarily pausing his movements. "Don't worry, I think I know."
