Not everyone was a fan of the #2 ranked hero agency, not that any of its members were even remotely surprised. After all, the discourse surrounding their Quirks was nothing new.
As was normal for the so-called "villains" of the Apocolypse Hero Agency.
Officially registered under the name of the Explosion Hero, Ground Zero, Apocolypse Hero Agency quickly became a hotspot for heroes whose Quirks had been deemed villainous. Despite its popularity, it was unclear where the nickname "Apocolypse" actually came from.
"I have better shit to do than explain some stupid inside joke to you losers," Ground Zero answered in an interview.
"It's a reference to Ground Zero's hero name since he's head of the agency," Phantom Theif declared before launching into a rant about his displeasure at working under someone from his UA graduating year's class 3-A.
"I'm an underground hero. Stop following me around with cameras," Mind Blank said, adjusting the capture scarf around his neck.
"We seek to bring about the Apocolypse of deeming quirks to be villainous," Tsukuyomi commented. His Dark Shadow voiced its goal to start a more literal end of the world.
"I believe the idea stems from the stigmas centered around the Agency's employment of stereotypically appearing villainous or having a declared "villainous" quirk. This then formed the joke based off of some villains' intentions to end the world," Archive hypothesized.
"It sounds cool," Arachne answered simply.
"I used it as a cover name for a villain organization in an undercover mission a while back. The name stuck," Kraken said.
'Who cares?' Ghost wrote out in a notebook.
Due to the varying (and highly conflicting) responses that the heroes gave, media networks and conspiracy theorists alike raced to find which answer was real. The truth?
"Holy shit, Deku, how many times do I need to tell you that I don't care?" A spiky-haired blonde groaned, leaning back into the couch of the small UA meeting room.
"This stuff is important, Kacchan," Midoriya said, pointing to his detailed notes. "Look at this. It was the second user of One for All with the strength quirk that made All Might so powerful. Um, and me, I guess. He called himself Apocolypse for some reason. It seems a little… violent to be a good hero name. More like a villain name or something."
Bakugo snorted.
