Roseville, Virginia. Let's just say its a cozy town. It's a small town, I can see why my Uncle Joe decided this was a good place to stay and hide. I doubt I would be able to see it on any maps. I had been wondering around the small town for about half an hour. I had already found the college which I wasn't due to start for a few more days, and I was currently sat at a water fountain in the middle of the square looking for my Uncle.

There were students milling around with coffees and skateboards talking and laughing with each other. I was envious. I wish my life could have been that simple. It used to be and I hope that someday it will be again.

"Are you coming for dinner at Joe's?" The wind brought the sound of a guys voice my way. Joe. It could just be another student but there was no harm in me making sure that it was. I followed the small group as they continued talking about dinner. They turned onto an empty street and I stopped and waited at the corner. I watched them now no longer being able to hear them. One of them folded off up the steps to one of the houses. He was tall and well built, I could see him watching his surrounding as he yelled something to his group of friends who soon where on their way again.

I don't know what it was about the brown haired guy that made me stay and watch the house instead of following his friends but I stayed and found a bench hidden by a few trees to sit on and stake out his house. I'll tell you now, stake outs are the worst. Nothing happened for hours. It was now dark out and I was getting sleepy but with being the only one watching the house sleep wasn't an option until I confirmed that the Joe they were talking about was or wasn't my Uncle Joe.

My eyelids where starting to close when the front door to the house opened. The young man I had previously seen came out in what looked like running gear followed by a taller man who looked nothing like him. It couldn't have been his brother or father, they were too different. Yet the boy looked like he was listening to every word he was saying like it was life or death. I decided to take a closer look, the street lights not letting me get a good enough look at the man he had come outside with.

They started running down the street back towards the college grounds. I kept pace and followed. It wasn't until they reached the square where there was more light that I noticed the older mans featured. I stopped and no longer cared if someone saw me. It was him. It was my Uncle Joe.

I quickly gathered myself together and watched them training together. It made me smile. Even if he was living a somewhat normal life and wasn't necessarily running for my parents any more he still knew that he had to be ready. As much as hat saddened me knowing that I'll never have a perfectly normal life, the fact that he had the interest of the boy that seemed to look my age had me smiling. I can remember my training sessions with him myself. Rachel, my mum, his sister would bring us lemonade to cool us down after a long session.

And just like that it all clicked into place. He was training the boy to be like me. The session they were doing I remembered doing the same. He was training him to protect himself. Why? I don't know but I will find out. I started back for his house not knowing how long I was going to have before they came back.

I checked the street was empty before walking up the steps to the front door. I pulled a bobby pin from my hair and picked the lock quickly and slipped inside. I made sure not to touch anything knowing that Joe would notice so I made sure to stay in the middle of every room. The living room was simple no photo frames with family pictures, no ornaments on the shelfs just a few book lay on the coffee table and two sofas facing the TV. I moved to the stairs and went upstairs to his bedroom. Opening the door I realised it looked more like a teenagers room than a grown mans. Venturing inside I realised there was a group picture of the friends I had seen with the guy that came inside. It looks like he lives here.

That makes more sense as to why Joe would be training him. If he's going to be close to Joe he needs to be ready incase my parents do decide to come looking for him again. I make my way back downstairs and hear movement outside the front door.

"Did I not lock the door?" A deep voice asks as the handle starts to move. I make a dash through the kitchen and too the back door. The key was left in the lock so I made a dash outside closing the door just as they close the front door. I jumped over their fence and into a neighbours garden. The only way out was to run through everyones gardens until I get to the last house and can get to the street. I didn't realise how long I had been inside for. That was too close.

I made it back to the front of the house and watched as my Uncle Joe came back out of the house and looked around. He knew. He knew someone had been inside. His eyes glanced over me as I stood still near the bench I was sitting on a hour ago. As he went to go back inside after not seeing me I intentionally made a move back towards the town square making sure he would see the movement but not my face. In my peripheral vision I saw him stop and turn back around. I walked around the corner and out of view. I needed to find somewhere to sleep for the night.

The next morning I decided to go to the college early and sign myself in and get ready for my classes. After finding a small B&B near by I made sure to shower and change into my other clothes. I only had two outfits which I switched between every few days. The college was bigger than I had expected for such a small town. There was a High school down the road that I could already see students entering.

Walking into the college I got a few stares from the early bird students but I tried to keep my head down and just made my way to the office.

"Hi may I help you dear?" A middle age woman sat behind a small desk that was covered in papers said to me as she noticed me walk in.

"Yeah, I enrolled to the college a day ago, I'm actually a few days early," I said keeping my hands in my pockets and trying not to fidget under her gaze.

"No worries, what is your name?" She smiled at me inviting me to sit down in one of the chairs opposite her.

"Cameron Morgan," I sighed. I hadn't used my real name in a long while. But a fake one wouldn't help me with my Uncle.

"Ah yes, I processed your enrolment this morning. I won't be a minute I will just grab the thinks you are going to need for your classes. i have that you are taking history, french and gym?" She asked me to confirm she had it right. I just nodded as I watched her enter the room behind her.

She returned quickly holding two textbooks and a small bag. She set them down on her desk and started typing on her computer. Soon her printer was whirling behind her.

"Right, so these are you textbooks you will need for history and french and then this is the gym kit we issue to all our students taking gym but if you wish to wear your own gym kit as long as its appropriate attire then that is also alright," She moved to her printer as it stopped, "this is your class schedule, you don't have classes everyday but we have an on campus library that is open everyday including weekends for students to study, its here on the map," She circled the library she was talking about on a map she had printed out of the college grounds.

She handed everything to me with a big smile. I smiled back nodding not saying anything to her. I put the two books and gym kit in my backpack with my other outfit. I nodded and thanked her before walking out back into the hallway. I was wearing my black hoodie with my leather jacket over the top and black ripped jeans that weren't actually ripped on purpose. I threw my hood up and kept my head down as I walked down the hallway which had seemed to have gotten smaller as more students entered the building.

I headed to my first class of the day which was French. It thankfully didn't take long for me to find. Walking in I spotted the boy that lives with Joe sat in the middle with the group he was walking with yesterday. They all looked at me as I entered. I kept my head down and headed to sit at the back of the room and just listened to them talking.

"New girl?" A stunningly beautiful blonde girl questioned the others. They all shrugged and glanced over at me.

"Must be, would suck having to transfer half way into the year," The girl next to her said. She was brunette and had a thick English accent. She was holding hands with the boy on her other side. He was well built and looked like he hit the gym a lot. He was next to the boy that lives with Joe and now with a closer look I could see his piercing green eyes. They were sharp and constantly moving even as he conversed with his friends. I smiled knowing that Uncle Joe had done well with training him.

More students started to enter the class and I could just about make out their conversation.

"She's pretty," A small petit girl said that was sat in front of the others. The guy next to her nodded as he pushed his glasses up his nose.

"I guess, I can't really see her face," The blonde girl said as I saw her try and get a better look at me. I just pulled my hood further over my face. Soon the teacher walked into the room and they lost all attention in me and focused on my Uncle.

"Bonjour," He shouted at the class as he dropped a stack of books on the desk. He scanned the room looking at everyone.

"We have a new student I believe," He looked down at his sheet scanning for my name, "A Cameron Mor," He suddenly stopped what he was saying and glanced in the direction of the group in front of me. More than likely looking at the boy he lives with. I watched as they both stared at each other. The boy looking more confused than worried as my Uncle shifted uncomfortably.

"I prefer Cammie," I said as I took my hood off and looked my Uncle directly in the eyes. Everyone heard his gasp. They all looked at me. He composed himself quickly and smiled at me. I could see it was forced but everyone else believed it. He glanced at the boy in front of me again and back to me. I watched him start the class and how he was trying to tell the boy in front that I was dangerous. He must have gotten the message because he kept shifting in his seat to get a better look at me.

I just smiled and tried to keep myself together as I wasn't used to all the eyes being on me. The class was useful for one thing. I learnt the boys name, as well as his friends. Joe's new prodigy was called Zach. The blonde was called Macey and the English girl was called Bex. The guy she was holding hands with was called Grant and he two in front of them were Liz and Jonas.

I realised pretty quickly that my Uncle had no idea why I was here. He obviously didn't know I had ran from my parents. So he must think they sent me. At the end of the class I was up and out of the room in a blink of an eye. I turned back and saw my Uncle sigh as he watched everyone else leave slowly. Zach walked up to his desk and they had a hushed conversation that I couldn't make out.

I walked off and out of the college my next class not being for another couple of hours. I had a feeling history was going to be a hard class to get through.
