Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

So, this one will be focused on the toughest member of the Cabal: Abomination. And, we will finally see the new Hulk in action.

Let's get to it.

Chapter 18- Abomination

I sigh a bit as my eyes flutter open. It's been hours since we faced Crimson Dynamo, Doctor Octopus, and Blizzard. Now, me and the rest of the team are trying to rest, but it's not easy to do so when all we have to sleep on is hard ground and rubble.

Robert, Haymitch, and Vision came out to the site of the battle not long afterwards. They made the decision to destroy Doctor Octopus' limbs and the Crimson Dynamo, not wanting the technology to fall into the wrong hands, and not seeing too much use for them. However, the Blizzard suit, which was already damaged, was taken back to camp. Robert wanted to research it and see if the technology could be put to other uses.

Now, I've been trying to sleep for a while, but I just can't get comfortable. As I turn over one more time, I finally just give up for the moment and sit up.

As I sit up, I see that I'm not the only one awake. Flint is sitting just a few feet away and is sitting on a piece of rubble.

I stand up and walk over to Flint, sitting down next to him. We sit there for a moment before I turn to Flint and ask, "What was Thresh like? I never got to know him. The only time I really met him was when he saved me from Clove."

Flint smiles a bit. "Well, I will say we were very different. He was very withdrawn, generally soft spoken, and was what you'd call a man of few words. I was always more outgoing than him. Maybe that's why we got along so well. I mean, yes, we were brothers, but I feel like our conflicting characteristics complimented each other. But, we were both fiercely protective of our siblings. We always knew we'd do anything for our family. And we were very loyal to our district. Just like how Thresh killed Clove and let you go because of Rue, that was always how both of us were. Even people in our district that we didn't really know, we would always help them if they needed it. Thresh may have looked and sounded tough and a loner, but under that tough persona, he was a very caring person, and would always help someone in need," he says.

We sit in silence for a moment before Flint asks, "What is your sister like? Prim?"

I smile just at the thought of Prim. "She's the kindest, most loving, tender person you'll ever meet. I sometimes think she trusts a little too easily. She always wants to be everybody's friend. She always wants to help anyone she possibly can, no matter how small that help is. Sometimes she seems so nervous and timid, but other times she pulls out bravery like I've never seen," I say.

Flint smiles. "Reminds me of Rue. I knew her when she was little, before I left 11. What you just described could apply pretty well to Rue as well," he says.

"I know. That's part of the reason I allied with her. She reminded me of Prim," I say.

Flint nods, then looks off into the distance, then says, "You know, when Robert first told me what he wanted of me-that he wanted me to be the new Black Panther-I was very nervous. I felt I wasn't up to it. But then I remembered Thresh, my family, and my friends from 11, including Rue. And that's what inspired me to take up the mantle. Every day of my training, I drove myself to keep working and training so that one day, I might be able to one day bring down the Capitol and see that all of those people I remembered would one day be free of the Capitol's tyranny."

I nod, perfectly understanding what Flint means, as it's the same reason for me being an Avenger. For me being the symbol of the rebellion. It's all for my family. For everyone that has suffered at the hands of the Capitol.

(The next morning)

I'm jolted out of my sleep by Bogg's voice. I had finally managed to get to sleep as morning approached.

"What?!" I ask in alarm, hearing the alarm in Bogg's voice.

"The Capitol has released the Abomination. He's attacking our troops on the front lines. You guys need to get out there immediately!" Boggs says.

My mind is still trying to catch up, but I rush to gather my gear and weapons. I then turn to Finnick and say, "Finnick, I want you to stay with the squad. Just in case." Finnick nods in response.

"Alright, team. Let's move!" I say urgently.

"Your ride is coming in. It'll be here any second now," Boggs says.

Everyone but Finnick gathers up whatever they need and race out of the building we were staying in. As we do, a new model of hovercraft flies in. I remember Robert telling me about them. They were highly advanced hovercrafts that were more similar to older style aircraft than most hovercraft. They were called Quinjets, and were designed and built specifically to be used by the Avengers.

The Quinjet lands, and it's back opens up. We rush onto the hovercraft, and see Haymitch and Vision waiting for us.

"Let's go, guys!" Haymitch says loudly.

All of us rush onto the Quinjet, and the moment we're all aboard, the back closes again and the Quinjet takes off, flying towards the front lines.

All of us are tense as the Quinjet flies towards the front lines, occasionally having to dodge anti-aircraft weapons. The Quinjet has highly advanced stealth tech and protective countermeasures. It's considered the only craft capable of safely operating in Capitol airspace.

It's not long before the pilot calls out, "Get ready! I'm not going to land! Too dangerous! Get ready to jump!"

All of us stand up and get ready. Only seconds later, the Quinjet slows to a halt, and the back opens up.

Gale grabs me and Johanna and flies us out of the Quinjet. Cressida leaps out and slows her descent with a web rope. Castor shrinks down and secures himself to Pollux' pack as Pollux grabs Flint and flies out with him. Vision then follows us out.

Aswe head towards the ground, I see him. Abomination. He looks just as ugly and frightening as the photos as he smashes through ranks of rebel soldiers. The rebels are trying to flee, but many are falling victim to Abomination.

Gale quickly sets me and Johanna down. He then turns to Abomination and fires his unibeam, knocking Abomination flying back.

The eight of us assemble into a line between Abomination and the rebels. Abomination gets back to his feet, laughing a terrifying, monstrous laugh.

"You Avengers will fall before me!" he bellows.

Then, we hear a roar. All of us look up and see Haymitch falling out of the Quinjet. However, as he's falling, his body is expanding and changing.

By the time he reaches the ground, he's fully transformed. As he hits the ground, it sends out a wave of dust and stone. All of us cover our eyes, then look back up as we get our first look at the Hulk.

He looks just like the photos Robert has. A massive, green monster of pure muscle and rage. And when he roars at Abomination, I feel certain that the roar will be heard throughout the entire city.

"Avengers! Take him!" I shout. Everyone yells, and we all charge towards Abomination.

Abomination charges towards us, but Cressida shoots a series of web ropes at his legs, tripping him up. Gale then releases a number of missiles from his back. The missiles pound Abomination, but hardly affect him.

Hulk then leaps forward and tackles Abomination as he gets back to his feet. Abomination quickly kicks Hulk off of him, and then charges at Hulk. The two exchange several blows before Abomination grabs Hulk's fist and throws him into a building.

Vision then flies in and slams into Abomination fists first. He then releases a beam from the Mind Stone as Gale fires his unibeam again. The combined blasts send Abomination flying back into a building.

Flint and Johanna charge to engage Abomination as he's still recovering. Johanna reaches him first and punches him right in the face. Abomination responds by backhanding her, sending her flying several feet into an abandoned truck.

Flint delivers a kick right to Abomination's face. He then tries slashing with his claws, hoping that maybe Vibranium claws will be able to get through Abomination's tough outer hide. However, that hope is quickly unfounded, as Abomination's hide easily withstands the claws. Abomination delivers a punch that knocks Flint flying.

Johanna angrily rushes back towards Abomination, punching him several times. However, he manages to grab her and shove her into the ground. He then begins punching her. However, after the third punch, Flint comes flying out of nowhere and slams his fist into Abomination's head. The built up kinetic energy in his suit bursts out, knocking Abomination flying back. Flint rushes to attack Abomination again, but Abomination grabs him by the head, slams him into the ground, then throws him down the street.

Cressida swings in on a web rope, kicking Abomination in the face before swinging back up out of reach. Abomination grabs an abandoned vehicle and throws up towards Cressida. She swings out of the way, then shoots another web rope that attaches to the vehicle, which she yanks back down, sending it flying down right onto Abomination's head.

Gale flies in, firing his repulsors. However, Abomination leaps up, grabbing Gale and throwing Gale towards one of the buildings. Gale smashes right through the concrete of the building and continues further through the building, disappearing from sight.

I angrily draw an explosive arrow at fire it right at Abomination. The arrow hits him in the chest, but doesn't affect him too much. However, the distraction provided by the smoke gives Vision the chance he needs to fly in and slam into Abomination's chest. Abomination tries to punch Vision, but Vision phases and avoids the punch. Then, Hulk dashes in and delivers an uppercut that knocks Abomination flying.

I turn towards Castor, who is currently at normal size. "Castor! Go big!" I shout. Castor nods, switches the controls on his suit, and presses the right button on his glove. Instantly, he grows over 60 feet tall.

I can hear exclamations from rebels in the distance who are watching the fight. Castor stomps over to Abomination, then lifts his right foot and stomps it down onto Abomination.

When he lifts up his foot, I can see Abomination has been pressed down into the cement, creating an indentation in the cement, and is somewhat dazed.

Gale and Vision fly in. Gale unleashes his unibeam and both repulsors, and Vision releases a powerful blast from the Mind Stone. Both of their attacks press Abomination further down into the ground.

As they continue to blast Abomination, Castor grabs Hulk. He then throws Hulk high into the air. Hulk sails up almost 2,000 feet before gravity overtakes his climb and he begins to fall again. With a slight grin on my face, I see that he's falling right towards Abomination, and I recognize Castor's plan.

I call over our earpieces, "Gale! Vision! Cut your attacks on my mark!" I watch as Hulk continues to fall, then, right as he's getting close, I say, "Now!"

Gale and Vision immediately cease their attacks. And just about two seconds later, before Abomination can recover, Hulk slams fists first into him.

The impact sends out a massive wave of dust and gravel. The shaking caused by the impact actually causes Johanna and me to temporarily lose our balance, and all of us cover our eyes.

When the dust finally clears, I look back towards where Abomination was lying, and see Hulk standing over a crater in the road.

I hurry over, with the rest of the team following me. As we reach the crater, we see Abomination resting at the bottom, unconscious.

I turn towards Hulk and Castor, who is now back to normal size, smiling. "Hulk, Castor, good work," I say.

Hulk sighs, then begins to shrink. Within a minute, he's back to being Haymitch. Haymitch sways a bit on his feet before he regains his bearing.

I look at Vision and say, "Vision, go back to camp. Get those bonds that Robert designed for this guy." Vision nods before taking off back towards base camp.

I look around at my teammates and say, "Well, guys. We did it. We beat Abomination."

And, I'll end there. Hope you all liked this chapter. I know it may seem a little easy in terms of how they beat Abomination, but, let's be honest, they had 9 Avengers all going against him.
