An hour later, Akko and Diana were on the starting line of the course that went through the forest.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" asked Diana.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be just fine," said Akko with a confidant smile. Professor Nelson then started the race by firing a ball of light into the sky.

"Whoa!" said the crowd of students as the two took off.

"Akko is actually keeping up with Diana?!" asked a shocked Hannah as they watched on a magic screen as a small camera spell followed them.

"Oh no!" said Amana as she noticed a branch in Akko's path. Akko quickly dropped her broom down and kept her speed up to dodge the branch.

"How did she do that?!" asked Diana.

"They're coming up on the first turn," said Constanze. At this, Akko flipped her broom over Diana, taking the outside position.

"She took the lead," said Barbara as the two came out of the turn with Akko getting a few feet ahead of Diana.

"I have to speed up!" thought Diana. However, Akko kept speeding up everytime she did.

"Akko's not giving an inch!" said Lotte as they came out of another turn.

"But now they have the one-hundred and eighty degree turn, they can't take it at that speed without crashing," said Professor Nelson.

"What is she thinking?!" asked Diana, who had reduced her speed, but Akko had headed straight into the turn at top speed.

"Just as I practiced," said Akko as she turned so her left hand was at the top of the broom and her right hand was on the bottom where the bristles were.

"That's not possible," said a stunned Professor Nelson as Akko caused her broom to tailspin to the right as she entered the turn, straightening it out by kicking the ground once she had hit the straight away.

"Akko won?!" asked everyone as they watched her cross the finish line first, all of their jaws hanging open as she did.
