YOU BELONG TO ME
A/N: There will be some new OC of my own in this chapter and later on as the story progresses.
CHAPTER 4
"Did you see the owner of the Taisho Bank?" Naraku asked. He came early that morning to ask Kohaku how it went at the party.
"I didn't get a chance to talk to him." He said remembering that he was too busy guarding Rin from those men. He sighed in annoyance at how foolish he had acted that night. "I called him earlier and asked to meet with him this afternoon."
"Great! I hope he will give us some time." Naraku said with a smile.
"I hope so too, whatever I have to do to save this company, I will."
Meanwhile, at the Taisho Bank.
"So I heard you are meeting with Mr. Kohaku Taijima today, huh?" Shu said to his friend. "Are they the ones that owe you millions of dollars?"
"Yes and I have a feeling he will ask me to give him more time." The owner of the voice replied dryly.
"Sesshoumaru, don't you think you are too generous?" He questioned and took a seat across from Sesshoumaru. "I would not allow it. I know Mr. Taijima has recently passed away but I think you gave them plenty of time already. It's not like you to meet him personally." Shu said, leaning forward. "You usually send out one of your men or your executives to negotiate." Sesshoumaru's lips curved up into a wickedly smile. "I know that look. What do you have in mind?" Shu asked his friend.
"Let's just say, it will be an interesting meeting today." Sesshoumaru said wickedly. Shu stared at him suspiciously.
"Man, whatever it is I do not want to be him." He said with a chuckle.
Later that afternoon, Kohaku showed up at a restaurant to meet with Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru was already there waiting for him. Two of his men were also there with him.
"Mr. Taisho?" Kohaku questioned from behind. Sesshoumaru turned and Kohaku raised his eyes in surprise. He didn't expect Sesshoumaru to be so young.
Sesshoumaru stood up and greeted him with a smile. "Please have a seat, Mr. Taijima." Kohaku took a seat across from him. Sesshoumaru waved his hand for his men to leave. He then turned to Kohaku. "Let's get to the point. I have another meeting to attend to." Kohaku nodded.
Kohaku hesitated before speaking. "I would like to ask if you could give us a little more time on paying back half the interest we owed." He said quickly. Sesshoumaru leaned back against his chair with amusement flickered in his eyes. "I've just found out about this after my father's death." Sesshoumaru just sat there listening and watching Kohaku explained his situation.
Sesshoumaru sighed in annoyance. "I will give you one month to pay for half the loan." He said. "I have given your father too much time already."
"One month is not enough time." Kohaku protested.
"Well then, you will lose your company and I promise I will take good care of it." Sesshoumaru said with a satisfying smile. Kohaku's face flushed with anger upon hearing that.
"Isn't there another way I can repay you? I can't lose my family company."
"Well, there is another way." Sesshoumaru replied, slowly leaning forward. Kohaku looked on with interest. "You probably heard about me. I enjoy beautiful women. I date many of them and currently have interest in one particular person." He said with a grin.
"Yes, I heard. Of course, I am also a man, I know what you mean." He said grinning and leaned back. "And what does this have to do with my company?"
"Oh it does. It has everything to do with it." Sesshoumaru said with a devilish smile. Somehow Kohaku did not like what Sesshoumaru was about to propose to him. "I was at the party last weekend and saw your wife. She's a very beautiful woman indeed."
"What are you saying?" He asked with puzzlement.
"I will pay you a million dollar for one night with her."
"That's absurd!" Kohaku stood up abruptly.
"It's up to you." Sesshoumaru said leaning back against his chair. "I am giving you a chance to pay back some of the amount you owed."
Kohaku sat down and leaned forward. "That's not even half the money we owed you and you expected me to agree to that?"
"Tell you what, let her spend one night with me and you will only have to repay half of your debt." He offered it to Kohaku. He was making sure the offer was high enough so Kohaku couldn't resist. Kohaku carried a deep frown on his face looking down at the table. From the look on Sesshoumaru' expression, he enjoys torturing Kohaku.
Kohaku thought about Sesshoumaru' proposal on his drive back to the company. He felt humiliated and angry. Who does he think he is? Kohaku thought to himself. He cannot get his mind off of the proposal Sesshoumaru made to him. Even if he agreed, Rin will not agree to it. But it was the only way to save his company and he will do anything to save his company, he had to decide fast.
After a long hard thought about it, Kohaku had decided to give Sesshoumaru his answer the next morning. Sesshoumaru was with Shu when Kohaku called him.
"I have decided to accept your proposal, but I need it in writing." He said.
"Great and don't worry. The paper works are ready for you to sign."
Kohaku thought it was odd that Sesshoumaru had everything ready for him to sign. It was like Sesshoumaru knew he would accept the proposal. "I will come by this afternoon and sign it."
Sesshoumaru put his cell phone away with a devilish grin.
"What was that all about?" Asked Shu.
"Just taking care of work." Sesshoumaru said with a smile. Shu looked at him suspiciously.
Sesshoumaru looked over the paperworks that Kohaku just signed and looked up with a smile. Kohaku had an annoying expression on his face.
"I will have my men come pick her up later this evening." He said, putting down the paper.
"What? So soon?"
"Of course. You didn't expect me to wait do you?"
Kohaku stormed out of Sesshoumaru's office with anger. He had to explain to Rin before Sesshoumaru's men picked her up.
When he got home, Kaede told him that Rin was not home yet. All day, Kohaku was pacing his office in frustration. When Rin finally got home, he asked to see her in his office.
Rin walks in and sees Kohaku pacing around the room. "You asked to see me?" She questioned from the door. Kohaku stopped pacing and turned to meet her.
He hesitated before answering her, "Yes. Close the door and have a seat." He said and walked to his chair and sat down. Rin closed the door and slowly made her way to the chair across from him. She frowned in puzzlement.
"What do you want?" She asked after she sat down. Kohaku handed her a file folder that contained the company's information. "What is this?"
"It's the company's information. Since you are my wife, I thought you should know about a few things." He said. Rin looked at him suspiciously before looking over the information before her.
Kohaku watched her while she did that. Rin's head snapped up, "What is this?" She asked with confusion.
"That's how much we owed the Taisho Bank. It looks like my father had put the company in great debt." He said dryly.
"But this can't be." She said. "He had never mentioned it."
"You think he will tell you he is about to lose the company?" He remarked with a note of anger. "And the Taisho Bank demanded half the payment by the end of this month."
"That's impossible!"
"Exactly!" He said and stood up.
"I'd like to help but I don't have any money…" She started to say.
"You can." He interrupted her. Rin looked at him with her eyes narrowed.
"I can? How?" She asked.
Kohaku took a deep breath before saying, "He will deduct half the debt if you would spend one night with him." He said quickly and looked away.
"What?" She stood up abruptly. "That's absurd! I will not spend one night with a man I don't know." She retorted angrily.
"Then we lose the company." He turned to her, "Father will be very disappointed if we lose the company." He said sadly. "He built this company with his bare hands and I don't want to be responsible for losing it." He looked at Rin. Rin frowned and looked away. Kohaku walked to her. "After what my family had done for you, the least you can do is help me save this company." He said, making her feel guilty.
"But what you've asked me to do is… Is shameful." She bursted out. Kohaku rolled his eyes. "Besides, how could you ask me to do such a thing? I am your wife."
"In name only." He corrected her. Rin scowled at him. He folded his arms across his chest and walked around her. "I don't like you and you don't like me so this shouldn't be a problem."
Rin was hurt by his remarks. She knows he does not love her, but to have to agree to sleep with another man is outrageous and so low.
"Mr. Sesshoumaru Taisho is a very attractive man. Maybe you will like him. After you finish college, we will get a divorce and you can move in with him if you choose to." He said. "The company is saved; you are happy; I am happy; and we both can live our separate life."
"I will not agree to this." She sharply rebuked. "I don't even know him." Kohaku sighed in annoyance. "As much as I would like to help you, I still would not…"
"How dare you refuse to help my father?" He asked, raising his voice. Rin opened her mouth to protest, but Kohaku did not give her a chance. "After what he has done for you, you can't even spend one night with a man to save his company?"
Rin bites her lips in frustration. She doesn't know what to do. "Isn't there another way out of this?" She finally asked.
"Yes, if you can come up with two millions dollars."
Rin slimmed down in her chair.
"I've already agreed to it. You have no choice but to accept." He said without looking at her.
Rin shot out of her chair. "What? If you've already agreed to give me over to him, why bother asking me?" She cried out angrily.
He turns to her. His gaze fixed on her and the coldness that came from his pale, glittering eyes made her gulp. "You owed my family. My father has given you a home and sent you off to a good college and all you can do is watch his company disappear?" Rin lowered her head speechless. "Be ready. His men will pick you up later today and you will go with them." He stated firmly and walked out of the office leaving her there alone.
Rin sat back down with tears forming in her eyes. She could not believe what she had been told to do. After all, she is his wife. But he hated her from the moment they met.
A/N: Double release today since I was able to get this chapter done quicker than I thought. Finally they are going to meet. I am exciting for Sesshoumaru and Rin meeting xD
