YOU BELONG TO ME
CHAPTER 5
All Rin could think of was what Kohaku had said to her. She spent most of her time pacing the room and tried to figure a way out of the situation. Unless she can come up with the money, it's impossible to change anything.
She had a mixed emotion of how she felt. She felt angry at Kohaku for treating her badly. After all, she was his wife. They didn't consummate their marriage, not that she wanted him to, and now he's handing her off to another man she doesn't even know. There was nothing she could do to get out of the situation. If she leaves, the Taijima will lose the company.
Later that evening, Rin finally accepted her fate. She was meant to repay the Taijima for taking her in. She knew this day would come, but she did not expect it to be this way. There was a knock on the door. Her heart hammered against her chest knowing who was behind that door. Kohaku had come to collect her. She swallowed hard before opening the door.
"It's time." Was all he said to her.
"Wait!" She yelled out. "Please, Kohaku." She pleaded. "There must be a way." She said with a frown.
He paused for a moment as if thinking of what to say to her. "There is no other way. The car is waiting for you downstairs." He stared at her for a moment as if he had something else to say to her, but didn't. Instead he turned and left. Rin stared after him with disappointment.
With tears in her eyes, she walked down the stairs thinking it was the end of her life. Kohaku was nowhere to be seen when she got to the bottom of the stairs.
A black Mercedes was waiting for her at the front of the house. A man in black suit was standing by the car waiting for her. She took one look at the Taijima's house before heading toward the car. The man opened the door for her and she stepped in.
Kohaku watched the car leave from the study. He carried a deep frown on his face. He did not want to do it, but he had no choice. He felt guilty for putting her in this situation. But why should he feel guilty when he did not have any feelings for her? After all, this was a way for her to repay his family for taking her in. He cast his guilty feeling aside and walked out of the study.
In the kitchen, the servants were talking about Rin leaving with a mysterious black car.
"Headmaster Kaede, where do you think Miss Rin is going this late?"
"How should I know?" She rebuked in annoyance. "Don't stick your nose into your master's business." She warned. The younger maid frowned and nodded slowly. "You know Young Master Kohaku is not the same ever since he got back." She said with a sigh.
Rin wasn't surprised when the car pulled up in front of a hotel. But she didn't think it would be a grand hotel. They went into the hotel and up to the top floor. She followed the man down the hallway quietly. He lightly knocked on the door. Rin could hear someone answer. The man opened the door for her. She hesitated, thinking if she should run away at this instant, but thinking of the consequences she slowly steps inside resigning to her fate. The man closed the door behind her and she was left alone standing by the door.
Her gaze scanned the room. She could see the room was very big and very classy looking. In the center of the room was a huge couch and table. Following her line of sight she could see a huge bed behind an open door which brought fear to her face.
"You plan on standing there all night?" Rin was startled by the sudden question and voice. Still, she did not dare to move. "Well?" He asked again.
Rin slowly made her way to the middle of the room. She caught on her breath when he stepped out of the shadow. He was nothing like she imagined. In fact, he was nowhere near what she had thought he would look like. He is truly a god. Those golden eyes of his felt like they could see right into her soul. She blushed and quickly looked down at the floor when he caught her staring.
His lips curved up in amusement. He folded his arms across his chest and walked toward her.
Beneath his intense gaze, she shifted her weight nervously from one foot to the other, waiting for his command.
He circled her, studying her and finally stopped in front of her. "Mrs. Taijima I assume? I am certain your husband told you of our arrangement?" He asked, his voice commanding, yet soft at the same time. It sent shivers down her spine. She nodded nervously. "You will have dinner with me and spend your evening with me." He said and walked to sit on a chair to his left.
Rin snapped her head up and shifted her attention fully to him.
"It's sad that your husband cares for his company more than you." He said dryly looking directly at her.
Tears began to form in her eyes, her chest tightened painfully and she struggled to catch her breath. Biting down hard on her trembling lower lip, she focused on that pain, rather than the tearing at her insides. She kept reminding herself to be brave and don't show any weakness.
"Yes, indeed." She looked away and steadied her voice. She refused to let her fear show. She met his gaze squarely. "But you are no different from him." She said bitterly, clenching her hands together.
He cocked a brow, seemingly taken back, but remained silent.
Gathering her courage she continued, "I would rather die than sleep with you and let you walk all over me."
He stood up and took a step forward and was towering over her. "So… Am I to understand you do not wish to spend the evening with me?"
Refusing to back down, Rin swallowed her fear and proudly lifted her chin. "Yes. You and my husband may have some agreement, but I disagree with this arrangement."
He finds her very amusing of the way her quivering lower lip protruded into a pout when she spoke. He felt differently about her from other women he'd been with. He was not supposed to feel anything, nor would he permit himself to feel. Before he could think farther, he found himself pulling her tightly against him. "The arrangement has been made and your husband has already signed you over to me for tonight." Rin opened her mouth to protest. "If…" He interrupted her and she closed her mouth. "If you violate the agreement, you will repay double the loan." He finished and gave her a grin that made her want to slap his face.
Fear had replaced the fierce pride in her eyes. Her breasts rose and fell rapidly against his chest. Desire stirred. Her lips had tempted him for too long, and Sesshoumaru suddenly found his mouth pressed against hers.
Flattening her palms against his chest, she pushed hard against him in a valiant effort to emancipate herself from his arms. He held her closer, but broke the kiss.
"Are you willing to spend the night with me willingly or…?"
"No!" She snapped at him.
"No?" He asked back, humor glinting in his eyes. He seemed little concerned she had rejected him. Suddenly he picked her up and carried her toward the bed. "Forget dinner, let's see how willingly you are."
"Put me down!" She screamed and threw punches at his back but it didn't seem to bother him. He threw her onto the bed and jumped on her.
He found himself lying between her legs. He captured her wrists and braced them on either side of her thrashing head. His chest crushed her breasts and he could feel her heart thundering against him. The shock on her wriggling jolted him. His gaze fell first on the curve of her lips then rose to her flushed face.
"Get off me!" She screamed. "Get off me, you bastard." A smile tickled the corner of his mouth as he stared at her.
She stopped struggling. "Please let me go." She choked on the tears that now streamed freely down the side of her cheeks.
"I am not going to hurt you." His voice softened and he began to relax his strength. His eyes touched her intimately, and she couldn't look away. She only hoped she could believe him. Passion was thick and molten within him. His eyes slid over her lazily, his voice seductively sensual. "I want you. I've wanted you from the moment I laid my eyes on you."
Of course, Rin wouldn't know or understand what he meant. The moment he laid his eyes on her was 2 years ago when he saw her crouching down and coaxing a small child that seemed lost. He, Sesshoumaru, at that time was coming out of a meeting angrily from the opposite side of the road across from her when he heard her soft, coaxing voice that seemed to melt his cold, shaking heart. When he looked up and followed the voice, he saw her smile at the little boy and it seemed like his world had turned upside down.
Mesmerized by his interest and the new sensation snaking through her, she didn't move nor speak. Unexpected heat grew in the pit of her belly. Strange, languid warmth trickled through her muscles, stealing her strength and encouraging her to lean against the very thing that threatened her. Currents of pleasure reached out to hidden parts of her body, hinting at possibilities she had never before dreamed of.
"I promise I won't hurt you." He softly coaxed her and reached up to wipe her tears away. "I will only give you pleasure."
Rin felt his hands on the bodice of her dress, unfastening each tiny button with great expertise. He brushed the materials aside. He kissed her and this time the kiss was hard and deep and hungry. The fury of his kiss forced open her mouth and his tongue slipped inside, brazenly tasting her.
Rin moaned softly, lost in a sensual fog where nothing mattered but the way Sesshoumaru made her feel, all warm and melting inside. That night she surrendered everything, body and soul to him.
