AN: Uh...not sure where this came from. And...I might continue on with the cauldron stories or expand Phobos/Deimos into a bit of a larger story. Also, this is the 100th chapter! Here's to the next 100.

"When you get older, plainer, saner

When you remember all the danger we came from

Burning like embers, falling, tender

Long before the days of no surrender

Years ago and well you know

Smoke 'em if you got 'em

'Cause it's going down."

Lost on You, LP

The galaxy cauldron - a strange, viscous, sentient thing - sparks magenta and scarlet into the dark and empty space surrounding its dense mass. With a great and terrible destiny standing in front of a young woman who will someday come to be, a star seed is released. She will love and fight and fall many times, only to rise again.

Her powers will come in time. Premonition and fire. Warrior sisters fighting at her side.

The universe then seems to pause for a moment. A hesitation previously unknown. Other seeds have come before - those with cunning and strength, intelligence and loyalty, tragedy and defeat - but thus far, all have come alone from the great abyss.

Flying out of the depth spring two bolts of black lightning, flung forward in the same direction of the bright red star.

Go well into the night, dark creatures.

Why the cauldron chose the guardian of the red planet blessings of additional support cannot be known.

Deimos brings powers of terror and dread; his brother Phobos, rout and panic. When the Martian senshi draws her bow, enemies perish and flee in fear, chased on by these terrible beings.

We shall give her an equal, a voice suggests. A man to meet her strength.

Yes, another voice responds. Someone to balance the demon birds that will accompany her days. He will be light to her dark, with patience and harmony to match her fiery spirit.

And yet theirs is not a story for the weak, they will find challenge and passion over many lifetimes.

And will they return here together?

As with all my children, they have the independence of choice.
