AN: Never mind the FOUR other shorts I have started right now… Also, if you're into supporting me as an author - I released the second book of a trilogy in mid-May, hit my profile for details. Anyway, with obvious references to Venus being born of the sea.

Cauldron II

A brilliant yellow spark appears, demanding to be witnessed and with a decidedly red afterglow, burning angrily in the great nothingness surrounding the cauldron. Something like bright sunshine reflecting off a faraway ocean, where most will look away, but the vision is too beautiful to stop staring.

A leader, the cauldron decides. Like those that have come before her, this star seed will have her challenges - a difficult path featuring a constant pull between love and duty, what is necessary and a draw to a nearly impossible balance.

A bright white light follows on the heels of the golden seed.

What's this? As if the galaxy can ever be caught unaware, but here is an exception. While the massive entity ponders whether or not to send the twinkling light back, it realizes the golden seed will need support on her way through the universe.

It is not the only gift she will receive.

Another spark shoots forward, and while not sentient as the other two, arrives with power. A sword. One to rattle the universe. However, the weapon was not entirely hers to command, no, and suddenly, of the same shade of red from the seed's original coloring, a chain of stars appears, flaring brightly, then dimming - made firm.

Elsewhere in the universe, a deep purple stone resonates. Rare, but the cauldron has seen this echo previously - the resonance of a pairing so deep that it resounds across the heavens.
