AN: I think I touched briefly on this concept in my Four Horsemen quintet (Endymion as the Devil/Hades/Lucifer, owing to Elysion being in/under the earth~hell, how my brain worked it out, at least).
Evening Star/Morning Star
The Venusian senshi did not often visit the surface of the Earth, but when she did, her home planet always winked its orange-ish hue every night near sunset, a silent, but visible reminder of her sacred duty hanging in the pitch black sky above. The same planet could be seen in the morning, but Venus preferred to celebrate her home as the entre to evening and all its wicked delights.
Endymion, the precious prince of the Earth, was considered by most to be a shining beacon of all that was good and righteous, but Venus had always believed there was something sinister hiding behind those sapphire eyes. Although spies were difficult to come by, Venus had managed to find a few brave souls to infiltrate the Golden Kingdom.
There were rumors.
A red-haired violet eyed woman, coming and going at all hours.
No one seemed to know exactly where the King of the Golden realm was currently stationed.
The four guardians of the prince were standoffish (if not exceedingly handsome and moderately talented with blades). The silver-haired one watched her with keen platinum eyes, but she ignored his silent advances. When questioned individually, they each denied anything untoward, but the blonde had her reservations.
Thus, under the pretense of checking on her curious princess, Venus swept down to the surface of the earth, determined to find what evil was lurking within the kingdom. Serenity and the prince had recently finalized negotiations of their engagement, and Venus was running out of time before the nuptials were set to take place.
"She's asleep."
"What?" Venus turned around, unaware she had been followed. Of course, the hour was early, and she had not expected company. Endymion stepped out of the shadows, his long cloak dusting the ground behind him. Venus knew she shouldn't be worried, but this was his territory. Lifting a gloved hand, she said, "Oh, I know, she'll sleep until midday if you let her."
"Then why does your beauty grace our halls at such an early hour?"
A compliment? Or a threat?
"Routine checks, your highness." Her use of his title was intentional. He did not, nor had not officially earned the 'majesty.' Yet.
"My shitennou are the best warriors on the planet."
Venus nodded. "And my senshi patrol our little universe."
His blue eyes narrowed. "Are we friends, princess?"
"That depends."
"On what?"
What did you do to gain your power? Where is your father? What lurks behind your calm demeanor?
She'd been in lunar courts for too long to ask her questions aloud. Falling to her carefully crafted bubbly Venusian court personality, she replied, "On how good a husband you will be to our crown princess."
"You arise at dawn to seek questions of romance?"
"I…"
The prince came into her space, and Venus's nimble fingers immediately went to the chain at her side. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "I think she will find my ability to perform husbandly duties to be quite above expectations. I can be quite generous."
There was no denying his intent. Venus swallowed, and willed herself to remain in place. Looking up, she locked eyes with the man in front of her and asked, "And then?"
"What do you mean?"
"I assume you intend to ensure your line and stake to the throne is in place."
"In not so many unromantic terms, but yes, that is a general idea."
"Hmmm..." Venus let her voice purr.
"What?"
Venus stepped sideways, playing off the movement as she stepped in a circle around Endymion. "We have ways of preventing such an occurrence."
"And if she's desperate for a child?"
"Let us see what the future holds, prince."
"As my lady wills it," Endymion said with a courtly half bow, striding off in the opposite direction.
AN: Alternatively, I (of course) wanted them to bang. Maybe they will.
