Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon
Memories of Pearls and the Love worth Diamonds
It was nearing mid morning when a sweet and kind bluenette emerged from her bathroom, having finally conquered her toughest rival, her own beautiful blue locks. Checking herself over one last time she managed to make her way down the stairs, scanning her eyes around the room, noticing something was out of place she asked, "Good morning, Mom, Brock, do you guys know where Ash is?" Her mother smiled at her as she replied, "I think he's still in bed honey, why don't you let him…" Johanna was cut off by her daughter's mischievous grin and without a word Dawn bolted back up the stairs.
She carefully approached the guest room Ash was sleeping in and for a reason she couldn't quite understand her heart began to beat a little faster, 'What's wrong with me, I must just be excited about pranking him,' she thought. Dawn finally reached the door knob but stopped just short when she noticed her hand was shaking slightly. "Stop it, Stop it," she said aloud and smacked her own hand before she noticed a pair of yellow ears and another pair with white puffs. "What?" she asked the two Pokemon who just continued looking at her with curiosity before Buneary started rubbing her head against Pikachu's bright red cheeks. Dawn smiled at the way her Buneary had grown so close to Ash's ace Pokemon and couldn't help but reflect on the conversation the two of them had had with Paris the night before.
Buneary had really liked the idea of becoming a Pokemon Fashion Model but when she heard she would be separated from Pikachu Buneary had outright refused. Paris was definitely a bit disappointed but had winked at the pair saying, "Who am I to split up young love, now if only your trainer was as smart as her Buneary." Dawn's face had immediately flushed red but before she could give a retort Paris had hung up. The bluenette came back to reality and sighed before finally poking her head into the raven haired trainer's room. She crept in slowly but before she could figure out what to do she sighed again, 'What am I going to do about Buneary, I don't mind traveling with Ash but I have no idea what region he plans to go to next. If we head to Unova I'd just end up doing nothing while Ash collects his badges, If we head to Kalos I could try my luck becoming a Pokemon Performer.' Dawn thought about how that might actually help her become a better coordinator and daydreamed about how she along with Piplup or Buneary would look while she was dressed in a long beautiful gown.
Before she realized it she was unconsciously staring at the raven haired trainer still sprawled out and passed out in his own dream world. Her eyes glazed over his well toned and muscular form and before she could stop it her performance was replaced with romantic music. The bluenette was spun around in her dreams, smiling contently before her partner held her close and she looked closely at his face. Brown eyes met dark blue and she closed them leaning up for a kiss. Then she blinked and opened her eyes quickly realizing the boy she was about to kiss was one of her best friends. Dawn determined where she was again and quickly started banging her head into the door,
"I do not like Ash, I do not like Ash." She repeated, trying to purge the very idea from her mind. After about five minutes of this, like any loyal Pokemon would, Piplup became very distressed and in an effort to calm it's trainer, fired a powerful Water Gun. Unfortunately for the already flustered bluenette her partners attack had enough force to send her straight from her therapy door and right on top of the source of her problem. Dawn slowly realized how she had ended up, sitting right on Ash's lap, her face mere inches from his. Her eyes widened as she realized the young Pokemon trainer had finally been awoken by the constant noise and was now staring at Dawn with the very same expression of shock and bewilderment. Dawn's mind went into complete shut down and as for Ash he couldn't believe what he was seeing. The sweet and kind coordinator's face was something he thought was unworthy of words.
Her hair was soaked, a complete mess hanging from every direction, her cheeks as pink as her skirt and the look on her face was something he could only describe as adorable. This moment only lasted a second however before Dawn yelped and jumped to her feet, breathing heavily in and out leaving the raven haired idiot all the more confused. Before he could ask what was up the bluenette practically shouted, "Breakfast is ready." She darted out of the room. Ash being who he was couldn't help but worry about his friend and chased after her, "Dawn, hey wait up, what's wrong." She got to the edge of the stairs, turned to face him but unfortunately for her it was far too late to stop Ash's momentum and he crashed right into her.
The pair tumbled to the bottom of the stairs, the coordinator clinging to Ash for dear life before they finally stopped falling. Their limbs were tangled and like before the trainer's face was inches from hers but this time he was on top. Dawn immediately flushed again and Ash's concern returned, "Dawn are you okay?" He leaned in closer to inspect her cheeks which by now looked more like the shade of a tomato before she finally snapped, "ASH, get off of me!" Ash eyed her oddly for her outburst but complied nonetheless, shifting to side and allowing Dawn to get to her feet. She tried to straighten herself up again and turned her head before smirking, "I was going to tell you a secret but now you don't get to know until you leave." With that she exited her small home leaving the trainer just as confused as before.
About half an hour later, the now very awake Ash Ketchum was busy devouring his breakfast when Dawn decided to sit across from him. Her smile turned into a small chuckle not really minding the childish way he still ate, she could admit to herself that she found it endearing. 'Wait, endearing and Ash. Where the hell is all this coming from?' She turned her eyes away from him but she now was met by the sight of her Buneary petting Ash's Pikachu from behind the ears while the yellow rodent emitted a sound that was somewhere between a squeak and a purr.
"Aww," she said before she could stop herself which finally made the raven haired teen turn from his food. He looked at her with curiosity and even something she couldn't quite read as he asked, "So… Dawn, what do you plan to do now?" Her smile immediately returned and with a shake of her head she headed up to her bedroom. Before she got to stairs she faced him with the same mischievous smirk she had on earlier, "It's a secret." The bluenette practically skipped to her room but there was still one doubt on her mind, 'Will he even be happy about my decision.'
Ash didn't see Dawn again that morning and was even more disappointed when her mother had told them she had left on an errand. On their way to their ferry Ash and Brock encountered Team Rocket but as always ended up sending them flying. It was just a short while after this that Ash found himself standing at the pier while the ferry. The captain suddenly announced it was time to depart so Brock put his hand on his friend's shoulder and motioned for him to get aboard. "I just thought… that she would at least see us off," he said with disappointment. Brock frowned but then smiled when he saw said person just off in the distance waving her hands frantically.
"Wait, Wait, I'm here," Dawn said as she lugged a huge backpack over her shoulders packed with supplies. "Uhh, Dawn why do you have so much stuff?" Ash asked as she stopped in front of him while breathing heavily. "Uh well Ash I was just thinking… Well if you wanted…" Dawn immediately wanted to bash her head against something. Why was she so nervous and what was this damn new feeling that she kept feeling when she was around him and more importantly… why the hell couldn't she get out a single simple sentence. "Dawn are you okay?" Ash asked her for the hundredth time today. Piplup now saw his trainer with the same distressful look she had on earlier that day and responded the only way it knew how, simply hitting Dawn in the back with a Water Gun.
As Dawn tried to blurt out her surprise she suddenly was forced forward by the force of the water Pokemon's attack and before she knew it she crashed into Ash and they fell to the ground. Third time was apparently the charm because when Dawn realized where she was she was pinned once again on top of her friend but this time her lips had met his. Dawn noticed several things about her first kiss, their lips were chapped and Dawn was sure she could taste a bit of her mother's breakfast but when they finally parted she found herself somehow craving more. So that's what the bluenette did without thinking or any recognition of the outside world. She kissed the stunned, red faced trainer again, this time making it last until she was satisfied and then sat up on his lap while giggling a little.
"Silly the secret is I'm going with you," her smile faded just a little as she looked down to him and finished with, "That is if you want me too." Ash's eyes went from stunned to confused to ecstatic, "That's great Dawn but what did this mean.." The boy was cut off as the captain of their ferry blew his horn for the final time and to emphasize his point the ship started leaving port. "Crap we better get moving," Dawn said glad that the topic had been averted, she got to her feet and with a blush pulled Ash to his own. The two walked onto the ferry hand in hand, Brock noticed this and when his friends had trouble looking the other in the eye he just sighed wondering when he would be as lucky as them. The pair looked at the sunset together and couldn't help but wonder where their next adventure would bring them.
Twenty Years Later
"Good Morning Mom," a ten year old girl with dark shade of blue hair said. Her mother smiled at her before commenting, "Aww you look so cute, I can't believe today's the day you get to start your journey." The girl smiled back at her mother before starting to devour her breakfast, eventually though she managed to swallow her food and ask, "Where's Dad?" The blue haired woman just smiled again,
"He went off early to make sure you'd get to pick the Pokemon you wanted and if you haven't noticed Marine, you're late." Dawn said while pointing at the clock. Marine's eyes went from the clock to her mother's and without another warning she sprinted up the stairs. Dawn only chuckled, "Like father, like daughter." Dawn groaned when she heard the sink start running in the upstairs bathroom,
"She'll be fixing her hair for at least an hour. I better get her stuff together or she won't make it to the Professor's until nightfall." Roughly an hour later Dawn was saying her final goodbye to her daughter, "Ok sweetheart be safe and make sure to call as much as you can." Marine only smiled, "I will Mommy and I promise I'm going to become a world class coordinador like you and then one day maybe I'll even take Daddy's title." With one final hug the young girl left on her bike and Dawn couldn't help but wonder how long it would be before she would see her again but smiled knowing that without her journey none of the happiness that she had achieved could have been possible.
Just a short while later Marine was standing wide eyed at her dad and the Professor, "Now Marine I hope you know how hard this little guy was to get for you. I had to go all the way to Kanto to get him so you better take good care of him." Ash said as he handed over the young water type pokemon. "Dad, how did you? I mean you really got me a Squirtle!" She said with tears of happiness. Ash just chuckled,
"Hey I wanted a Squirtle as my first Pokemon before I got Pikachu and your mom did have a water type as her starter and besides we knew how much you loved these little guys so what Pokemon could have been better," he replied with a grin. "Thank you Dad, Thank you," Marine repeated as she hugged her Squirtle tight, "I promise Dad that I'm going to become a great trainer like you and a world class coordinator like mom, I promise." Ash just ruffled her hair while smiling fondly he said simply, "I know."
AN: First things first this idea is credit from a guest reviewer from the main story I am writing, now I normally never do request let alone guest review request but I thought about doing an Au ending with Dawn before as well as May, Iris, and Serena and might in the future, haven't seen Sun and Moon yet sorry but anyway here was his post/review/idea
Can you do a pearl shipping one shot like u did with ash and Misty in defently gonna catch u later what I have in mind is like what u did with ash and Misty telling each other there feelings for each other in the final episode of Pokemon diamond and Pearl series except dawn has a suprise for ash that he wouldn't expect neither would Brock and that is dawn going with ash back to Kanto since she decided to decline the offer she was given for her buneary because she really wanted to stay with ash and buneary didn't want to seperate from Pikachu since she liked Pikachu since they first met dawn like traveling through sinnoh so much with ash and Brock that she wanted to travel through whichever region they go to next even Kanto since she never been there before that's my idea
Will not expand on this anymore but I would think Dawn would go with Ash to Kalos for the performances because I do think in the long run they would help Dawn in contest so the BW ark would be skipped or they would go to a region that had contest even if it was a region Ash traveled at least for one season
As always I hope you all enjoyed
