Responses to guest reviews

Ssj Shadow- In case you didn't see my response in the review section I will post my thoughts here. First of all, you left your reviews the day after I posted the second chapter. I understand you want more, but understand writing takes time. I can tell you how many hours it can take just to get 1 scene just right. I would appreciate it if you didn't bug for updates, especially so soon after I post them. Izuku is stronger than in canon. I think I made it clear. I just didn't want to make him super OP. That wouldn't be any fun. As for the fight with Bakugo keep in mind this Deku has fought him throughout the years and has adjusted to his fighting style and Bakugo being Bakugo hasn't thought to improve himself, since he considers he's the best. Of course that will change now that Izuku has beaten him. I will make their fight during combat training longer and meaningful. Izuku isn't as strong as you suggested and I think that would be too much at this point. He can use 8% with minor strains and I said 15% in short bursts in my original response, but now I think it should be around 12%. As for your suggestion during combat training, I might consider it. We will see.

ThatOneFellow- Thank you for understanding and being patient. Hope future chapters are worth the wait for you.

The smile that was on Izuku's face faded when he realized the only remaining seat in the auditorium was next to the person he least wanted to see. Izuku groaned before taking a seat next to Bakugo.

"Decided to show up Deku?!" Bakugo asked bitterly.

"Have I ever given any idea I wouldn't?" Izuku asked with a smirk, "I knew you were a bit slow, but come on."

Bakugo gritted his teeth, but remained silent, as Izuku continued to smirk. Izuku then looked around the area and saw the place was packed. No doubt everyone wanted a chance to go to U.A. A shame that only a so many could join and the teen was going to do whatever it takes to get in. Izuku then turned his eyes to the front and was greeted by the appearance of a man with long spikey hair. After a few seconds he recognized him as Present Mic.

"What's up U.A candidates! Just consider me your school DJ. Come on let me hear you."

There was complete silence in response. Izuku managed to resist the urge to go full fanboy mode. After spending time with All Might, he has learned to somewhat control that behavior.

"Keeping it mellow? That's fine," Present Mic responded shrugging it off, "Let's just skip to the main presentation. Today you boys and girls will be rocking in a series of mock battles in super hip urban areas. After I drop my mic, you will head to your specified battle center, sound good?"

Izuku looked at his card and saw he was assigned to battle center b.

"I see," Bakugo stated before peaking a Izuku's card, "They're splitting us up, so we can't work with any of our friends."

"Or in your case be a dick and try to get petty revenge on those better than you," Izuku responded.

"Get your eyes off my card," Bakugo snapped.

Izuku simply rolled his eyes before looking back at Present Mic.

"Damn. I looked so forward to finally crushing you," Bakugo mumbled.

"Okay. Okay. Let's check out your targets. There are three types of villains and you'll earn points based on their difficulty, so choose wisely. Your goal is to use your quirk to shread these villains like a good guiltar solo, but check it and make sure you keep things heroic. Attacking other examines no no, you dig?"

"Excuse me sir I have a question."

"Hit me," Present Mic said before pointing at a male teenager, wearing rectangular glasses and holding up a sheet of paper, with details of the exam written on it.

The spotlight shined on the male teen, who placed a finger on his paper.

"On the printout there are four types of villains listed. With all due respect. If this is an error on official U.A material, it is shameful. We are exemplary students who expect the best from Japan's most prominent school. A mistake like this won't do," The teen pointed out.

Izuku could somewhat understand where he was coming from, but to announce it like that. Surely, there is a good explanation for the discrepancy.

"And you!" The teen began pointing at Izuku, "You with the curly green hair. You have been mumbling the entire time. It's distracting. If you are here on a pleasure trip, than you should leave."

Izuku stood up from his seat.

"First off maybe you should remove that stick lodged deep in your rectum, before you criticize others on how they act in public. Just a suggestion buddy. While I understand your issues with the conflicting information, you shouldn't have brought it up in that entitled snooty tone. For all you know, there could be a good explanation. Also stop acting like you are speaking for everyone else, because from what I've seen, you are only speaking what you think," Izuku responded before sitting down.

The teen was red in the face and Izuku couldn't tell if it was from anger or embarrassment. Most likely both as the teen glared at Izuku and was about to speak.

"Okay. Okay. Examinee 7111 thanks for asking. The fourth villain type is worth zero points. Consider it an obstacle, if you will. There is one in every battle center. Just think of it as something to avoid. Not that it can't be beaten. There is just no reason to! I recommend my listeners avoid it and focus on the others."

"Thank you," The teen that brought the issue up said before bowing and taking his seat, "Please continue."

Izuku could hear everyone around him mumble about how this felt like a video game. While he didn't disagree, it felt odd that the physical exam for U.A would resemble one. The teen quickly shrugged it off and decided to go for the high score.

"That's all I got for you today! I'll sign off with a little present, a sample of our school motto. As general Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down, 'A true hero is one that overcomes life's misfortunes.' Now that's a tasty soundbite. Ready to go beyond? Plus Ultra. Good luck!"

Izuku stretched his arms and legs, as he looked around and inspected his fellow examinees. He was a little nervous, but managed to push it down. He had trained since the age of four for this and he wasn't going to let it go to waste. The past ten months specify, were huge in his preparation. Now that he had a quirk of his own, he knew for sure he'll get in and show assholes like Bakugo, he can become a hero. He then noticed the same girl he encountered before the orientation, staring at him. He smiled, causing her to nervously look away with a light blush on her face.

'Looks like I attracted a potential classmate. There should be time to chat a little and maybe even for me to make a new friend,' Izuku thought as he approached her.

Before he could get close, he felt a hand on his shoulder. Izuku turned around and was saw it was the guy that asked about the fourth robot.

'Oh him? What does he want?' Izuku thought.

"It looks like she is focusing on what's up ahead. What are you doing? Trying to distract her and prevent her from succeeding?" The teen wearing glasses asked sternly with a glare.

Izuku glared right back, "No, that wasn't my intention at all. I thought she seemed nervous and figured I could help calm her nerves," Izuku then shrugged his shoulders, "If I'm wrong I apologize."

Before the teen with glasses could respond everyone around them started chatting.

"Looks like those two are going at it again."

"Well, I did like what he said in response to the guy that acted like we all cared about whatever he went off about."

"I think he is most likely to get in."

'Looks like I have made an impact on my potential peers already," Izuku thought.

"Right let's start!" Present Mic announced, to the shock of everyone, "Get moving! There are no countdowns in real battles."

Izuku quickly activated full cowl at five percent and rushed off, leaving everyone in the dust and in stunned silence.

"Run run run listeners," Was the last thing Izuku heard Present Mic said before encountering a one pointer.

Izuku simply smirked, as he effortlessly destroyed the one pointer, before rushing off to find more. He had a head start on the others and he was going to take advantage as much as he could. He quickly encountered several more robots, that were destroyed just as easily.

'That should be ten points so far and with plenty of time to spare. Thank god I didn't have to do it, without training to be able to use One For All effectively. Despite what All Might said, I doubt I would find a way to pass.' Izuku thought before rushing off to get more points.

Izuku then noticed that the rest of the examinees have caught up to him and smirked a little. He enjoyed the head start, but he also likes a good competition.

"Target acquired!"

Izuku's smirk widened, as he reached another three pointer and gave it a powerful kick, smashing it into pieces. Izuku noticed a flashy blast burst through where the robot was and saw a blonde boy, with an annoyed look.

"You stole my target. We could have made a great team, if you would have let me destroyed it."

"You snooze you lose," Izuku simply said before rushing off.

A group of judges were watching the examinees in a dark room.

"The examinees have a limited amount of time in a vast area to hunt down as much targets they can find. Some rely on information gathering abilities. Some rely on speed. Others pure power. Of course remaining calm under pressure can have an advantage. The most successful students tend to use a combination of all of these."

In one of the monitors, Izuku was shown rushing pass buildings and crushing robots along the way, racking up points exceptionally. On another Bakugo was blowing up the robots with glee, also managing to rack up points quickly.

"I think this year's group looks promising," A female voice said before pointing at Izuku, effortlessly crushing a couple three pointers, with a powerful ground smash, "Especially, this one. I can only imagine how he'll be when he reaches adulthood."

"There is still plenty of time before it's over. The real test starts now," Another voice announced before pressing a button.

'You know this was exciting at first, but now it has kind of become routine at this point. I think I have racked up more than enough points by now, so hopefully it ends soon," Izuku thought as mindlessly destroyed yet another one pointer.

Suddenly, to his shock Izuku saw a giant robot appear near his area. The other examinees were frozen in place as they continued to stare at it. They then panicked and rushed off, as the robot effortlessly crushed the tall buildings, as it started moving.

'That must be the zero pointer. Now I understand what Present Mic meant. Maybe I can destroy it, if I use All For One at the highest I can handle, but it's pointless to find out. Might as well just evade it until time runs out.'

"Less than two minutes remaining," Present Mic announced.

'Maybe I can get a few more points in that time,' Izuku thought before he started moving away from the area.

"Ow!"

Izuku stopped and turned around after hearing that cry for help. To his horror he saw the brown hair girl, he met earlier, stuck under debris and the zero pointer was getting closer to her. His thoughts then went to when they first met.

"I saw you about to trip and decided to use my quirk, but it looks like it wasn't needed."

Before he knew it Izuku powered up to eight percent and ignoring the minor strains it was causing, rushed towards the girl. He quickly reached her and managed to remove her from the debris.

'She was the only one that was nice to me today. She tried to help me earlier and even though it wasn't needed, I am returning the favor,' Izuku thought, as he carried the girl and rushed off to safety.

Izuku placed the girl down, who was staring at him with a huge blush on her face.

"Are you ok?" Izuku asked.

"I- Yeah thanks to you," The girl managed to say.

Izuku smiled before holding out his hand, "I'm Izuku Midoriya and you are?"

The girl nervously reached for his hand and shook it, "I'm Ochako Uraraka."

Before either one could continue this conversation, they noticed the zero pointer in the distance causing havoc.

"This isn't the best time to talk," Izuku realized while nervously rubbing the back of the head, "Let's wait until the exams are done."

The girl simply nodded, before the two of them continued to evade the zero pointer.

"Time's up!"

Izuku sighed in relief, as he resisted the urge to rub his slightly sore body. The downside to full cowl is that the damage from going over his comfortable zone is spread to his entire body. While the backlash to using eight percent, as of now isn't that bad, it does leave his body sore enough to the point of wanting rest. He looked around and saw no sign of the zero pointer. Figures U.A would make it no longer a threat after the exams.

"Um.. Did you get enough points to pass?"

Izuku was broken out of his thoughts and smiled at Uraraka.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I stopped keeping track when I got pass 50," Izuku answered, "What about you?"

"Oh," Uraraka began nervously, "I hope I did. For a few reasons."

"Even if by some chance you haven't, want to keep in touch and be friends?"

"You.. You want to be friends with me?" Uraraka asked in both nervousness and excitement.

"Sure. I mean you were the only one I talked to that has been nice to me today."

"Right," Uraraka chuckled nervously, "I thought your response to that guy was fitting and kind of funny."

"Are you two ok? No serious injures?"

Izuku and Uraraka turned and saw Recovery girl walking right up to him with a box of gummies. Izuku flinched a little when he recalled that horrifying memory of Recovery girl finding him attractive. Hopefully an incident like that won't happen again.

"You two were separated from everyone else and they all left," Recovery Girl explained.

"That's strange because you would think with the zero pointer everyone would be more separated. I-" Izuku managed to stop himself from going into a muttering fit.

"In a world full of quirks stranger things have happen," Recovery Girl answered with a shrug, "Take some gummies, as you two go."

Izuku and Uraraka both left the U.A building and exchanged contact information.

"So, you think you passed?" Izuku asked.

"Like I said I hope I did. I mean I tried to get as many as I could," Uraraka answered nervously, "I want to get in as much as everyone. For a few reasons," She finished with a light blush on her face.

"I'm sure you did," Izuku responded with a smile, causing the girl's blush to darken, "And even if you didn't we will still be friends."

"Yeah," Uraraka managed to say, "I better get going."

"Ok. See you later."

"Yeah," Uraraka said before leaving.

Izuku smiled at her retreating figure before turning towards the U.A building with a determined look.

'If she isn't sure there is something I must do. Hopefully I am able to."

"You want me to do what male listener?" Present Mic asked stunned.

"Look I will be real with you. Uraraka is the only one I met today that didn't get on my nerves and I want to go to U.A with my new friend. She wasn't so sure she passed and I want to give her enough of my points to help her achieve her dream." Izuku answered.

Present Mic chuckled, "Right. I recall your scene with examinee 7111. I can also tell there is more to this."

"What do you mean?"

"Come on. You helping out a girl your age. I know many girls that would find that romantic."

Izuku's face flushed and he shook his head nervously, "No, I..."

Present Mic chuckled, "Relax listener I am just messing with you. Look while I can respect what you are doing, you can't transfer your points to another. You don't have to worry though because I think a certain female listener will make it."

"You promise?"

"Of course listener. Now go home and get some rest."

Izuku was walking through the town with an excited smile on his face. He and Uraraka had agreed on to meet up and get some lunch. Along the way he encountered Bakugo, who glared at the sight of him.

"What got you in a good mood Deku?" Bakugo asked.

"What got you in a bad mood Bakugo? Oh wait you are always a dick like that. Never mind," Izuku responded with a chuckle before going on his way.

"Just know I got the highest score at the entrance exams and if you made it, I will crush you at U.A," Bakugo shouted.

"Good one. Now you just need to do an evil laugh and you will be an ideal villain," Izuku shouted right back.

"This isn't over Deku!" Was the last thing Izuku heard before he was out of range.

Izuku continued to walk with the same smile on his face. Not even encountering Bakugo could turn his good mood sour. He finally made it to a small diner and saw Uraraka waiting for him at a small table. Her face lit up when she saw him and a faint blush appeared on her cheeks. Izuku quickly walked up to her table.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting," Izuku apologized while rubbing the back of his head nervously, "Let just say I ran into somebody."

"That's ok. I haven't been waiting long."

Izuku took a seat and took a peak at the menu.

"There is something I have been meaning to ask," Uraraka told him nervously.

"What?"

"I am just a little curious about your quirk. You seem to create lightning around your body, but it's not electrical and from what I've seen you have enhanced speed and strength."

"Oh," Izuku began nervously, "I call it super power. Basically, I can stockpile power on my body and it enhances my strength and speed, but I can only handle so much of it. I am working on increasing my limit."

"Wow," Uraraka said impressed, "It sounds like you have the perfect quirk for hero work."

Izuku shook his head, "There is no perfect quirk. Some have there uses and can be the ideal 1 in certain situations."

"I guess."

"What about you? Your quirk has something to do with gravity right?"

"How did you know?" Uraraka asked stunned.

"When you touched me I could tell I was no longer affected by gravity and since you thought I was going to trip, I put two and two together," Izuku simply answered.

"Yeah, It's called zero gravity. Like you said I can make anyone and anything no longer affected by gravity."

"Any limits?' Izuku asked with excitement, 'I wish I brought my notebook with me, but I will try to remember next time.'

"I get severe nausea if I go above my weight limit." The girl admits sheepishly, "It's not the most useful-"

"Are you kidding me? There are plenty of uses. You can make a nice support by using it to suspend a villain in mid air and prevent him form fighting or escaping, making it easier for other heroes to defeat him. If you have good control of the objects you affect you can create a barrage of falling objects on your opponents. You can even carry plenty of injured civilians that are far too heavy for you to lift on your own to get treated. You-" Izuku interrupted before realizing he went on another muttering fit, "Sorry. that's a bad habit of mine, that I have been trying to break." Izuku apogized sheepishly as he looked at a stunned Uraraka.

"That's fine," Uraraka assured him, "It felt great hearing all those ideas. You really seem into quirks."

"Yeah," Izuku admitted sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head, "Every time a new pro appeared I would write down their quirk and my own observations."

"Do you still have it?"

"Yeah, thirteen notebooks worth are at my house."

"You seem incredibly determined to be a hero. I mean plenty of people are, but you seem to take it to a new level."

"It has been my dream for as long as I could remember. You know I have always been one of the biggest fans of All Might. He was the physical manifestation of my dream and life goal. I wanted to be just like him. Don't get me wrong I still respect him, but now I realized I should strive to be like him, but in my own way." Izuku explained.

"From what I've seen I am sure you will."

"Yeah, and I hope to do it with you as a future ally," Izuku told her with a smile.

"I do too. I hope I passed," Uraraka responded returning the smile.

"No worries I have a feeling you did," Izuku assured her, 'If Present Mic lied to me, I swear pro or not, I am kicking his ass.'

Finally after a week of waiting it was time for the moment of truth. Throughout the week All Might has been silent and Izuku wasn't able to get in touch. The teen shrugged it off to the Pro being busy with his duties and now that his training for the entrance exams are done, he won't see the pro as much. He also spent more time with Uraraka and got to know her a little better. The two of them were quickly becoming good friends and the boy hopes she made it in, so they could become school mates.

"Izuku it's here," Inko announced, as she handed him the envelope.

Izuku stared at the envelope, "The moment of truth. Normally, I would be nervous, but I know for sure I made it in. These pass few months have been a wild ride, hasn't it mom."

"It has. Hard to believe you ended up getting help from All Might of all people," Inko answered, "Well, you better open it. Even if you are so sure you made it."

Izuku simply chuckled before opening the envelope and pulled out a small device. A projection of light appeared, revealing All Might in his glory.

"I am here as a projection!"

Izuku was completely stunned, "All Might, but isn't this from U.A."

"Sorry for not contacting you! I was busy with paperwork. The truth is I didn't just come here to fight crime, I came to work at U.A. You are looking at it's new teacher."

"All Might is working at U.A?" Izuku asked stunned, "Then again it's probably for the best so he can track my progress."

"What is it?" All Might asked as a hand was shown, gesturing him to hurry up.

"Wrap it up? There's something I must tell him. Wait how many of these do I have to do? Geez. Ok."

Izuku took a quick breath as he waited for the moment of truth.

"Congratulations young Midoriya! You have aced the written test and managed to get an incredible 100 points on the practical exam."

Izuku smiled and looked at his mother who was giving him a proud smile of her own.

"But that's not all. There was a secret component to the test."

Izuku raised an eyebrow and pondered what All Might is talking about. The projection showed footage of Izuku rushing to rescue Uraraka from the 0 pointer.

"The entrance exam wasn't only graded on villain points! How can a hero course not credit those that do the right thing. During the exams rescue points are also given by a panel of judges. That's another thing we at U.A look at. You ended up with a solid 40 rescue points. Bringing your total to an awesome 140 points. There is no doubt you made it young Midoriya."

Izuku raised his arms in the air and cheered at the fact his dream was beginning to become a reality.

"Just one last thing."

Izuku was completely stunned, "What more could there be?"

"Present Mic showed me what you wanted to do for a certain someone."

Izuku's eyes widened as the scene of him asking Present Mic to give Uraraka some of his points was played. Izuku looked at his mother, who was interested in the scene. The boy sighed, knowing he was going to be teased for doing that for a girl.

"Seriously, All Might."

"I am sure you are mad. Sorry I just couldn't resist teasing you about that you little chick magnet. Now I must go. I have countless others of these to go through."

The projection ended and Izuku sighed again, as he knew what was coming.

"Izuku, I knew you became good friends with this Uraraka, but I didn't know you cared about her like this. When are you two going to start dating?" Inko asked with excitement.

"Damn it All Might," Izuku mumbled, "I will get you back for this. I just hope he didn't show Uraraka this. Then again maybe it wouldn't be so bad if she found out."

Izuku simply shook his head and decided to just be happy he made it to his dream school.

I was debating whether or not to have Izuku destroy the zero pointer or not. I decided against it as I wanted to be more original and go a different route. Not to worry Izuku will still have awesome moments of action in the future. On the plus side here he starts a friendship with her much sooner than in canon. Hope you guys enjoyed regardless.
