To those who have seen my other works you may be curious. Why is this a separate thing from the other intros I've done with My Hero Academia and Jump Force? The simple reason is that I had this idea strictly for Injustice, and not Jump Force.
Also the fact is that Ben's a bit out of left field for that series. I could see him come in as 'DLC' down the line, but I have a few other ideas for Guest Fighters that I'd like to have in first.
Anyway for those who are not as familiar this bit is me basically writing the intro dialogue Ben might use if he was a fighter in Injustice 2. Assume that this Ben probably has some redesign by Jim Lee or something, that he doesn't quite fit in to one specific point in his timeline, and that power level readings are bullshit.
Anyway, enjoy this extra-sized one
1: Black Adam versus Ben Tennyson
In a bolt of lightning a figure appeared ready for battle. Clad in black and gold with a flowing black cape and desert skin, the figure stuck an imposing figure.
This did not seem to register to the teenager clad in green who approached him and said, in quite an almost carefree way.
"Glad to see that supervillains are the same, no matter what Earth I'm on."
The supervillain's hands sparked with electricity as he glared at the foreign teenage hero.
"You fight six gods not one man!"
The teenager grinned as he held out his watch, which had a green hologram just visible beneath his ready hand.
"Dude, I live for those odds."
2: Ben Tennyson versus Superman
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
You would think that against a blue superhero in chains that this was a tad overconfident.
"This won't be a fair fight."
Depending on who you asked the respond the teenager had to this comment was either badass or very dumb.
"You know it's always nice when the bad guys know they're beat and just give up."
The superhero broke his chains and gave the boy a flat look.
"Somebody should teach you some manners."
3: Supergirl versus Ben Tennyson
A blond in glasses took one look at her approaching opponent and sped away in a rapid burst of speed. She returned seconds later dressed in a blue and red superhero outfit, an S logo prominently displayed.
The teenager who was approaching grinned as he held up his watch her way.
"The Omnitrix's already scanned your DNA signature. It can turn me into you now."
The girl's face twisted into one of disgust.
"Ew you pervert!"
The teenager blinked, before he held up his watch and the hologram it was showing off.
"I meant your species, not you. Man I could have said that better..."
4: Ben Tennyson versus Blue Beetle
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
The teenager who ran up to him in blue armor was oddly kin to him, as odd as it might seem.
"You know, Khaji Da makes any weapon I need."
The teenager out of armor grinned back as he held up his watch in return.
"The Omnitrix can turn me into any alien I need."
The blue armor morphed over to protect the teenagers head, and he had this to say to that.
"That's really cool, not gonna lie."
5: Cheetah versus Ben Tennyson
A woman clad in little ran on all fours into battle, claws scrapping the ground as she charged. Her body was catlike in hair and movement, and her eyes bore bloodlust as they took sight of her prey.
That prey was a teenager in green with a watch, who was grinning at the upcoming fight.
"Hey an actual cat villain! You're tougher than Nyancy Chan right?"
"You won't joke once I have your tongue."
He laughed off her threat as he reached for his watch and the glowing green hologram it projected out.
"I don't think so. It's Hero Time!"
6: Ben Tennyson versus Doctor Fate
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
He didn't seem to be that surprised to see a masked wizard floating towards him with billowing hieroglyphs and a self-turning book in hand.
"You possess a strange magic in your soul."
The teenager grinned as he patted himself in the chest proudly.
"Yeah, my grandmother's this sort of mana alien. Surprised you can sense it."
The mage closed his book without touching it before making his declaration.
"That is not all I sense about you."
7: Doctor Fate versus Ben Tennyson
Emerging from an ankh appeared a gold and blue magician whose head was covered by a great golden helmet. Eyes white with power stared outward at the green garbed teenager who approached him.
"So I heard you want to return me home right now? Before I can kick Brainiac and Superman's butts?"
"You must be returned to your reality."
The heroic teenager shook his head before reaching for his watch and its active hologram.
"What about after I save this Earth?"
8: Ben Tennyson versus Deadshot
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
He didn't seem all that phased by an assassin in red pointing a gun his way.
"Are you faster than a speedin' bullet?"
The teenager grinned as he held up his watch, which was ready to be activated.
"Easily with XLR8."
The assassin wasn't phased as he took true aim his way.
"I won't give you the chance to show and tell."
9: Green Lantern (Hal) versus Ben Tennyson
A man in green placed his ring-wielding fist into a lantern, which lit up as the artifact gained power. He would need it as the similarly green teenager approached him.
"Green Lantern? That's an odd name for a galactic peace force."
The ring-slinger put the lantern down and readied his now glowing ring for full combat.
"Well between you and me I don't think 'Plumbers' are any better."
The teenager shrugged as he readied his own glowing green alien artifact for quick use.
"Hey Green Lantern, Plumbers, or Providence: it's all sort of silly out of context."
10: Ben Tennyson versus Swamp Thing
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
Such odder things meant that a massive being made of plants ready to fight him wasn't even in the top fifty oddest things to happen to him recently.
"I can sense The Green in that watch you wield?"
The teenager looked down to the watch for a moment then back to the plant being.
"Oh yeah, Swampfire and Wildvine. You guys cousins or something?"
The plant being did not change tone.
"All is connected in the green, regardless of the world it sprouted."
11: Aquaman versus Ben Tennyson
A muscular man pulled a trident as he readied himself for battle. His target: a green clad teenager who was fiddling with a watch on his arm. He looked up to the king as he arrived.
"You know my experience with kings started with them swallowing babies and ended with them using me to do Frankenstein stuff."
The sea king seemed rather unamused by this comparison.
"I am a good king and would not think of any such thing!"
The teen shrugged as he reached for his watch.
"Good to know. I'd have to add you to my 'really kick the butt of' list if you ate a baby."
12: Ben Tennyson versus Atrocitus
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
Against him was something a bit more in his wheelhouse than some of the other things on this earth: an alien sorcerer who conquered planets and harnessed anger as a power source. The cat floating with him was a bit different though.
"Feline fury is the most pure!"
The teenager blinked before gesturing to his watch.
"You want to see Rath?"
The alien gestured towards the teenager with interest.
"Let's see your rage in action!"
13: Starfire versus Ben Tennyson
A scantily clad orange warrior, her hair like fire and her clothing bright purple, announced her arrival with green energy blasts and floated over the field in anticipation for battle.
Her opponent, a teenager clad in green who held his watch up to her with a grin.
"Oh yeah, a new alien! I can turn into whatever you are now!"
The alien warrior put her hands to her hips as she gave the teenager a flat look.
"Fighting me with my own strength will only make your defeat come quicker."
The teenager chuckled as he reached for his watch.
"Yeah, I know that. That's why I'm going to beat you with the aliens I've trained myself in!"
14: Ben Tennyson versus Starfire
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
He approached a orange-skinned warrior woman, who solemnly floated in front of him.
"Grayson would have liked you."
The teenager blinked, and he almost hesitated in what he said next. What came out of his mouth next was quite cautious, especially from him.
"I'm sorry."
The warrior lady clenched her fists as green light glowed from them.
"I've heard that a lot, but you really do mean it. Thank you."
15: Cyborg versus Ben Tennyson
A man who was half metal walked towards this battle. It was a casual walk as he went over, going over holographic diagrams as he went. The teenager he approached didn't seem that interested in trying to make out what the holograms said.
"Hope you aren't trying to hack the Omnitrix. Unlike the Ultimatrix it has anti-hacking programming."
The cybernetic man swiped his holograms and clenched his fist in preparation for battle.
"I was just looking at it. When I take it from you I want to know what it really is."
The teenager chuckled as he reached for his watch.
"What it is is your one-way ticket to a beat down!"
16: Ben Tennyson versus Green Lantern (Hal)
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
He stopped as a man also uniformed in green floated down, a protective green bubble around him.
"Which Earth are you from?"
The teenager reached for his watch, prepped for immediate and quick use.
"One where the heroes didn't become the villains."
The bubble retracted from the native green hero as he gave the boy a flat look.
"Not sure I like your attitude."
17: Darkseid versus Ben Tennyson
Two snarling feral aliens stepped aside as their leader strolled in. With his arms behind his back, he casually looked down upon the teenager who opposed him armed only with a watch.
"Wow, you are evil. You might even be more evil than Vilgax!"
The alien lord was not impressed with this comment.
"Darkseid is greater than all. Submit to me and be spared."
The watch on the boy was activated, and it was quite clearly not meant to be in submission.
"Yeah, how about no. It's Hero Time!"
18: Ben Tennyson versus Darkseid
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
He approached a single terrifying figure, who stared at him with disdain.
"That Celestialsapien DNA will not be enough to defeat me."
The teenager did not cowl at this declaration, the opposite in fact as it only seemed to embolden him.
"You say that like I'll need Alien X to beat you into the dirt."
The alien lord's eyes glowed red at that remark.
"Your lack of fear displays ignorance, not bravado."
19: Brainiac versus Ben Tennyson
In a fiery ball of fire a metal form crashed down. It quickly stood to reveal a metallic being with green skin who stared down a teenager garbed in green.
"Alright you pulled me into this universe, what gives?"
The alien moved forward, metal tendrils twirling behind him.
"That device on your arm intrigues me."
The teenager showed off said device, and the hologram it was now showing off in green.
"Allow me to give you a first hand look at it Brainiac. It's Hero Time!"
20: Ben Tennyson versus Braniac
Walking into the fight came a teenager dressed in green who was playing with his watch. It was not a normal watch however. The most obvious part was the holograms he was looking through as he prepared for the battle ahead of him: holograms of alien figures with multiple arms, rocky body structures, and much odder things.
He approached one such odd thing in a green robotic alien that arrived down in a purple beam of light.
"You and this Earth will be collected for study."
The teenager reacted to this declaration with a shake of his head.
"Not if I stop you here and now!"
Six metal arms shot out from the alien as he held out his open palm.
"You overestimate your chances."
A quick few additional comments.
I had considered doing an ladder ending for Ben as well, but I'll admit I don't know how to best write out such a thing. It would be somewhat a mix between the Subzero and Hellboy endings if you want an idea of what it would be (or to be more specific you would see the Phantom Zone and Null Void interact and cause issues on Ben's universe).
Some people I tested this with raised the point of Captain Nemesis for his second Hal Jordan intro. To that I have a few counterpoints
One being the deliberate use of the plural heroes.
A second being that he doesn't count that guy as Superman didn't exactly ever stage crimes and is thus a more pure example of a fallen hero.
A third being he was more taking a shot at the Regime than being strictly accurate.
The fourth is that I don't really like Captain Nemesis beyond what thematic additions he adds to the Ultimate Alien metaplot so I did not consider him at all. Let's put it this way, I like Billy Billions more than him as a villain.
