Hi, I'm sorry this is a bit late I've been on my work experience and the last few weeks have been hectic but it is here now. Enjoy.

Percy POV
It had been about a week since Nico and I officially 'got together' and I couldn't remember a time in my life when I had been happier.
At first, we had tried to keep the whole thing a secret from our friends, just for a while. And it was going pretty well as we were basically inseparable before anyway, but it was all ruined on day two when Piper had joined us for breakfast. She immediately knew because of her whole 'daughter of Aphrodite' thing and could not contain herself.
It turned out that Nico had only ever told Jason he was gay, and while the others had been suspicious, it was still a surprise. But they seemed more shocked at the fact I was Bi. In Leo's words they knew I had a weird bromance with Jason, but never thought that I was actually into guys. And to be fair to them I wasn't sure if I liked guys before the night Nico kissed me either, I guess I had never really thought about it.
I had worried about what my friends would think, after all I had only just started considering them my friends again and wasn't ready to lose them. I also wondered what my family would think, but Annabeth reassured me that my mom wouldn't have cared as long as I was happy. And Nico reminded me that my mom loved him.
He even said he would convince his dad to let me see her if I wanted, just so she knew.
I knew I wanted to see her, but I also knew that we would have to wait until after the war to get my mom's approval of my new relationship. Now just wasn't the time.
I also started hanging out with the rest of the immortal demigods out of training and meal times. At first it had been odd hanging out with them like nothing had changed, especially with Annabeth. But after being with them every day, I soon got used to it. Me and Annabeth were even on speaking terms and I had agreed to help her teach the campers about monsters and the titans.
We had decided it when we were all sat in the area between their cabins and she had been giving us the run down on what we knew about the titans. But all her information was either ancient or guesses we had made in the last titan war.
After the first few times I had interrupted to correct her, she offered me a place in teaching the demigods with her. It was obvious that I knew the most about the titans as they currently were, and therefore the two of us would be the best to teach them.
I carried on helping out with the close combat training as well, and even joined in teaching the camps best fighters in titan killing. I had to admit that the campers were powerful fighters, but they were nowhere near as good as we, immortal demigods were.
I knew that we had managed to defeat titans when we were only sixteen, so I knew that these kids probably could too. I just wasn't sure. And that worried me.
It turned out that monster fighting class was held in the war room as it could seat a full class of campers and had a projector and white board that Leo had made. The campers had three sessions of the class per week and learned about every type of monster we could think of attacking us.
That went all the way from specifics like the Hellhounds and Dracaena that we knew they would have to face to the generic weaknesses of any Drakon/Dragon, as we knew they would probably attack us – we just didn't know which ones.
We also tried to prepare every camper for a possible encounter with a titan. Annabeth had told them how they should proceed in attacking them, but even in my first lesson with her I altered that to run and find an immortal demigod or any other highly skilled camper to help you.
I did not want them taking the threat lightly.
"You gave some great advice in there Percy." The daughter of Athena told me as we were leaving one of our lessons.
"Maybe, but I don't hold anything on you Wise Girl." I joked. She seemed to pause for a moment when I said her old nickname but just as quickly moved past it, seemingly accepting me calling her it again.
"All I'm saying is that you aren't as much of a Seaweed Brain as you used to be." She explained. "I might have to call you Not-So-Much-Seaweed Brain." She grinned. I laughed along with her, glad that we were finally starting to be friends again.
It had been awkward at first, as she clearly still had feelings for me, but when she found out I was dating Nico it had been much easier for us to talk. I could tell she still liked me, but we were able to be friends at least.
Besides, it was nice having her around. She knew more about me than anyone, not including Nico, so she knew how to help me on my bad days and was just generally nice to be around. I could understand why I fell for her before.
"How's it going with Nico anyway?" She suddenly asked, changing the topic.
"It's going good, I think. We're both happy." I told her. "I've not really felt comfortable since I came back you know? And he's the only one who can truly keep me sane and feeling safe. Not that there is anything wrong with you guys." I hastily added on the end.
She just smiled and tucked her blonde curls behind her ear. "I get it." She told me. "I know my experience down there was nothing compared to what you went through, but when I got out of Tartarus I felt very similar." The world seemed to get colder around us as she said the name of the pit.
"I realise that it must be a thousand times worse for you. I felt like no one understood me but having someone who makes you feel whole again is exactly what you need." She smiled at me before she stopped and turned to me, staring me down with her stormy grey eyes and making me look at her.
"I'm glad, you are happy." She told me. "But if I find that you hurt him or break his heart I will hunt you down Perseus Jackson. Do you hear me? I have known that boy for over a hundred years and I won't let you hurt him." By the end of her speech I was a little scared of her and I nodded quickly.
"Good." She smiled, instantly brightening up again. "Now I'm going to go find Nico and give him the same talk. Bye!"
I just shook my head and shouted, "He'll have just left training" to her.
The daughter of Athena just carried on walking as I turned in the opposite direction to head to the lava wall.
Before I could make it two steps, an alarm started blaring.
Without a moment's hesitation I spun around and ran after Annabeth. I quickly caught up to her and asked, "Is that what I think it is?"
Still running she answered, "If you think it means the titans are attacking again then yes." I realised that she had changed our course and we were now heading towards the big house while most of the other campers were heading to the armoury.
In the next few minutes we got back to the war room and took our seats. Waiting for the other to arrive. It took a couple more minutes before the other councillors had all made it, with Nico coming in last. He sat beside me and squeezed my hand.
I smiled at him gratefully but said nothing.
"Heroes!" Chiron called getting our attention before letting Annabeth speak.
"You all know what you need to do. Councillors you lead your cabins, immortals we will be leading the charge." She announced. "Any questions?" There were a few, mainly from the newest councillors who had stepped in after the last battle but she answered them all quickly and prepared to wrap up the meeting.
"Ok, that's all." She said when the last questions had been answered. "May the Gods be with you all, Percy Hestia will be coming for you soon."
"No." I interrupted. All eyes turned to me. "I want to fight."
"Percy are you sure?" Nico asked me, his eyes begging me to stay back again.
"Yes." I answered, standing up. "I hated sitting back and watching you all last time, I am not doing that again. This is my home and my war too. I have more to fight for than any of you." I looked Annabeth in the eyes, she nodded to me.
Dismayed Nico stood up too "I will only let you on three conditions." I turned to look at my boyfriend, it was clear that he was worried for me.
"One, you stay with me. Two, we do not lead the charge we stay in the back where HE is less likely to see you. And three," he paused turning to look at the rest of our friends. "he has to hear the prophecy first."
Dread settled in my heart like a dead weight. I looked around at the campers, but they looked as confused as me, only my friends and Chiron seemed to know what Nico was talking about. They all had sombre faces as if they didn't want to tell me, or maybe they wished that the prophecy didn't exist. But eventually Jason caved and told me:
"The lost hero found again,
But only one can break his chain,
Digging through the wreckage and ruin,
All while war is brewing,
His worst fear he must brave,
For the world he has to save."
I shut my eyes for a moment, trying to hold back tears. "Why is it always me?" I whispered, but no one answered. It was the will of the Fates.
I didn't even consider the idea that it wasn't me in the prophecy, I was obviously the lost hero. I had been ruined, war was brewing and was now upon us, and Nico had broken the metaphorical chains around me. I was the hero. And that meant I would have to save the world – again.
I opened my eyes again, there was a new fire behind them. "When was this given?" I asked. For a moment nobody spoke, but eventually Nico told me, "After Kronos brought you to the throne room."
Before I could even think about what that meant he stood up and grabbed my hands.
"I swear to you Percy, that is not why we rescued you." He told me, knowing where my train of thought was going. "We knew you deserved to be free, so we saved you, no one is asking you to fight now."
He took another step forward and placed a hand on my cheek, tilting my head until my forehead rested on his own. "I swear on the Styx, we did not come to save you because of that stupid prophecy. We did it because you deserved to be free." He paused to breathe.
"Please believe me Percy, I need you." He finally whispered, quiet enough for only me to hear.
After another few moments, calming myself down I moved myself away and looked into Nico's eyes. This close I could see that they weren't actually black, just very dark brown. "I believe you." I told him still looking into his eyes. "And I'm still going to fight." I announced turning around to face everyone.
With that, everyone left the room to don their armour and take their positions.
AHHHHHHHHH! I'm so excited! Percy is finally going to fight in a battle, yay.
Btw, if this was a little too vague (I'm genuinely unsure) Annabeth and Percy and getting to be friends again. They can talk to each other again, and actually like being around each other. But it is still a little weird.
Anyway, please review as it keeps me inspired which is always good.
See ya.
