Weiss paused as she saw a familiar pair of ears and smiled widely. Quickly checking her arcs she nearly dived on them.

"Hello Kitty." She gently nipped an ear, rather affectionate with the black cat. The free ear flicked and she gently let go of the one between her lips.

"I have a gift for you." She straightened up as she pulled out a can of salmon from her bag. She had a few cans of meat as she wasn't sure when she'd see the cat again and wasn't sure what it would like.. "Which do you want? I have salmon, sardines or tuna." She asked as she held out the salmon. There was a small tap to it and she smiled as she cracked the can open.

"I should probably give you a name better than kitty, but I'm bad at naming things. I guess that would be Ruby or Yang's job to give you a name." She set the can down carefully in front of the bush, wondering if she'd get to see the cat this time.

She relaxed on the sill, her next period thankfully free. She lightly pet the cat's head as she lay there, legs hanging to keep her balance.

"Maybe I should call you…" she trails off, shaking her head. "No, that isn't a good name."

"I think I messed up today, Kitty. I…" There was a catch in her throat before she cleared it softly. "I hurt my teammates again."

She shifted to be as close to the part of the cat she could see. "I don't mean to hurt them, and I know I could fix it… but it's so hard to say I'm sorry. If only you could talk, maybe you could tell me what to do." She reached over to gently scratch an ear.

She sighs up to the floor above, eyes closed and instead of the cat purring, she filled the silence with soft humming.

Soon Weiss noticed soft purrs matching her humming and had to hold in a squeal of delight. They continued like that for a while longer before Weiss heard footsteps and instantly shot up, seeing no one coming towards her, she ducked behind the sill.

"Oh hey, a cat, should we take it back to our dorm Velv?" Coco's voice sounded below the sill.

"Coco, that's-"

There was a rustle and silence fell for a second before Velvet spoke again.

"Probably not a good idea. Cats like chewing on my ears…" She finished weakly and Coco sighed softly.

"Well we can't have that. Maybe next time, Kitty." The two older girls walked off, leaving Weiss and the cat alone. Weiss waited before she popped back up and looked around, the cat gone now.

She sighed heavily as she shook her head, before she smiled at the missing can of salmon.
