It must've been four a.m. when Alex woke Sunday morning to find the other side of her bed cold.
Piper wasn't there.
Her heart started racing but then she remembered Piper promised she wouldn't go anywhere in between the lines of "Fuck! Don't stop…" and "Do that again…"
Her feet hit the cold marbled floor and her naked body shuttered with the morning cold. She opened her drawer and slipped on a pair of black lace underwear then an oversized tee-shirt.
She came into contact with her digital camera and grabbed it for no real reason at all. It just felt right.
She strolled downstairs hoping to find Piper in her living room reading or some sort but it turned out she'd already done that judging by the woods burning in dark ash illuminating blue and red light in the fireplace and the stack of books aligned on her expensive rug in the library.
But when she did find the blonde, Alex's breath caught in her throat.
She was outside in the back of the house on the porch. The wind blew her blonde hair into this beautiful entangled mess. Her blue eyes and porcelain skin glowed under the moonlight. Her thin figured covered by a grey oversized tee-shirt of hers and she was barefoot looking over at the ocean, listening to the breeze of the wind accompanied with the early singing of mockingbirds as waves lapped the sea gray ocean.
She nursed a full glass of red wine and she had a smile plastered on her cheek as if she were in a beautiful dream.
She looked so relaxed and innocent. So goddamned gorgeous. You could never guess she suffered through so much turmoil in her life.
Simply gorgeous.
Alex looked at the camera in her hand and realized she'd taken it for a reason. For this beautiful moment in front of her. She needed to capture it just like that.
The flash of the camera brought Piper back to reality. She turned around and smiled at Alex.
"Hey." She greeted.
Alex approached her. She stroked her messy blonde hair and kissed her cheek. "Nice shirt." She noted.
Piper blushed. "I couldn't seem to find anything I came here with." She said.
"Oh definitely not complaining." The brunette teased. "Even though I much prefer you with nothing on but my shirt looks good on you."
"And yet you swear you're not a sex machine." Piper rolled her eyes.
Alex threw her head black and laughed. Piper's heart did back-flips in her chest.
After defiling the kitchen floor and screaming the roof of the house down, Piper had convinced herself that Alex was a well-oiled sex machine.
Insatiable if you will.
"I'm not a nymphomaniac and I don't have the stamina of a horny teenager." Alex said. "People might believe you if you keep saying that. Then you'll have to share."
"I'm not big on sharing." Piper replied.
"Really?"
"Yeah." Piper nodded, stroking the brunette's curl that fell from its ponytail at the side of her pale cheek. "At least not you."
Alex's face broke into that smile that does things to Piper's heart and other parts of her anatomy.
How can one person be so fucking flawless and irresistibly fucking sexy at the same time?
Little did she know, they shared the same thought about each other when they looked at each other.
But since Piper believed to be beyond impure, she'd never know. She'd refuse that compliment if it ever were to be directed towards her.
Alex on the other hand... She's a beautiful complicated puzzle.
She intrigues her. Does things to her she'll never understand.
In the last thirty something hours, Piper's had the honor to explore three sides of Alex.
All different persona.
She had the delightful pleasure of being indulged with The Alex that fucked her and made mind-blowing love to her all the same in the span of these past hours and had her screaming her lungs off, making all types of noises in the back of her throat she never knew she could make while her body wire itself out through powerful, earth-shattering orgasms til she passed out with pleasure and exhaustion.
Then there was The Alex that talked about her mother with a glow in her eyes, like a kid on Christmas morning. It was over-fucking-whelming how beautiful she was deep under the surface of that sarcastic, smart-ass façade she puts on as a mask to intimidate the everyday cruel world out there. That Alex also had a tough, shitty childhood just like her as far as she knows but now, she's this amazing woman who's perfection should be beyond illegal by law.
And then there's This Alex. The one who's laughter banishes all her demons and makes her believe in a tomorrow.
How does she not know?
"God, you're so fucking beautiful." Piper gushed.
Alex chuckled. She leaned in and kissed the soft skin at the blonde's throat. "That's my line."
"It is." Piper shuddered in her arms.
"Are you cold?" Alex asked, her fingertips running a line down Piper's neck, to her collarbone.
"No." She replied. "You're touching me. I'm on fire."
She picked up her glass of wine and gulped down half of it.
An amused sound escaped the brunette's lips at Piper's sudden thirst for alcohol. "You sure know how to boost a girl's ego." Alex teased.
Piper smiled. "Your touch kinda has that effect on me."
Alex claimed Piper's lips in a soft kiss. Piper's lips parted and a gasp escaped her mouth at the warmth of Alex's.
The brunette bit gently on her lower lip. Blood pounded, pulse racing through the roof over yet another delicate touch. A simple chaste kiss.
So soft. But full of promises. Like before. In that same position some hours ago before she was screaming so loud with pleasure she could barely hear herself.
"Would you say your eighteenth was a success?"
Piper smiled. "Are you fucking kidding me?"
Alex laughed against her lips. "My line." She said again.
Piper stroked her thumb faintly in a feathery touch across the brunette's cheek. "The best."
"My line or the birthday?" Alex teased.
Piper smiled again. "Both."
"Is that so?"
Fuck yeah! It was the best ever! Not everyone's as fortunate as she's been. Not everyone has an Alex Vause in their life to fulfill all their dirtiest, wildest fantasy.
She turned eighteen, and she got fucked properly and came an excessive amount of times. She had the most delicious pizza and ate cake off this beautiful woman.
And now, she was out, the sun barely rising and here she was, listening to the wind, watching the ocean so freely... Feeling so relaxed.
No thoughts of her dead parents or Larry or drug dealing in her mind.
Her demons locked away safely... At least temporarily.
It was just her...
This beautiful, incredibly amazing woman...
And the ocean.
Best. Fucking. Birthday. Ever.
"Yes." She replied.
Alex planted another kiss on her. Helluvah one that had her rising on the balls of her feet and shifting. Nothing sweet or soft about it this time. That fire... It was back. She was melting again. Their lips clung together as if nothing else existed.
And nothing did.
"Come on pretty girl." Alex pulled away with that knowing smirk on her face. "Something tells me you need me to take care of you again."
Piper didn't even try to put up a fight. How Alex knew her so well, she'll never know.
"Not a sex machine!" Alex protested before the words could even escape Piper's lips.
Piper laughed.

The majority of Sunday morning was spent in bed. After yet another steamy and sweaty session against every flat surface in that huge house, they had left-over pizza for breakfast and orange juice.
They watched a marathon of Law & Order: SVU on the USA network. Somewhere between then, they knocked out for some much needed sleep, wrapped in each other's arms and sweat.
...
It was now six in the afternoon and the two women were sitting in Alex's living room in front of a big flat screen TV watching The Proposal (hands down Piper's favorite flick) while eating an early dinner. Chinese.
That life they could get used to. Domestic bliss.
Piper blew out a deep breath, bringing down her chopstick and turning to face Alex. "I hate Sundays. It feels like I'm just waiting for reality to sink in."
Alex nodded understandingly, knowing too well what she meant. "I usually just read and get drunk. So it's okay I guess."
Piper hummed. "Sounds way nicer than what I usually do."
Alex nuzzled her nose in Piper's blonde locks and inhaled the smell of her hair. Coconut and sweat. Strangely a nice combination. "Hm, yeah? What do you usually do?"
Piper took another bite from her sweet and sour pork. "I usually masturbate and watch reruns of Criminal Minds."
The sexiest moan ever escaped her throat and Alex clenched her eyes shut, as if trying to picture Piper all sprawled on a soft mattress, her fingers pushing in and out of her tight little hole, moaning and arching her back, doing all sorts of things as she works to bring herself to climax. "Fuck. Hot."
Piper chuckled. She knew the dirty thoughts running through that brain of Alex's. They turned her on too. "Haha. You liked that one didn't you?"
Alex wasn't even ashamed to admit to it. "Very. I'll have to watch sometime."
Piper raised a curious eyebrow. "What? Getting myself off?
Alex nodded. "Yes." She kissed Piper's lips. "I wanna see how long you can go by yourself."
"Oh you have no idea." Piper chuckled.
Alex shut her up with a soul melting kiss. "Don't spoil."
It was quiet. They've successfully avoided the big elephant in the room for a long time now and from the looks of it, Piper was going to leave soon for a change of clothes and stuff.
Domestic bliss doesn't really last. It's never just sunshine and rainbows. That bubble eventually burst at some point. And like Piper said, Sundays feels like when shit starts to set back to reality.
And their reality was that they had an amazing weekend together and now, they needed to figure out what's next.
They both reached for their phones and turned them on. They couldn't shut the world out forever.
Several beeping sounds came at once from both phones.
"Shit!" They said in unison.
Alex glanced at Piper's phone after she finished typing a quick reply to Nicky's twenty messages.
Literally, fucking twenty messages. If that's not stalker-ish behavior...
"What are you doing about Parry?"
Piper rolled her eyes. She gave up long ago on Alex getting Larry's name right. No point in correcting her again for the billionth time.
"I'm gonna tell him." Piper replied.
"About us?" Alex asked.
Piper nodded. "Yeah. Not giving any details about you of course. But I'm gonna tell him."
Did it make her an insensitive asshole because a rush of relief rolled through her? She was getting the girl and another was losing. Seriously, did that make her a major asshole?
Cause if it did, then fucking perfect. A douche like Larry doesn't deserve Piper.
She's a tough cookie on the outside, but Piper needed to be controlled and dominated. She's a wild little thing and way too much woman for Larry.
"You sure about that?" Alex asked.
"Yeah." Piper nodded. Seeming one-hundred-ten percent sure of herself. "I told you that I want us to have a shot – a real, serious one and to do that, we should start fresh. Clean slate. Nothing or nobody between us. I'm willing to meet you halfway if you want. Larry knows it's been over between me and him. A long time ago. I only got back with him in the first place to protect you so I don't see the need to lie to his face and pretend I still love him when I'll be having regular pussy and mind-blowing orgasms with you. Just not fair to any of us really."
When Piper was done speaking, Alex had that fucking grin on her face that was giving Piper all sorts of feelings.
"What?"
"Say pussy again." Alex replied.
Of course! Out of everything she just said, "pussy" is the only word she registered through that thick skull of hers.
Piper nudged her with her elbow and rolled her eyes. "You're un-fucking-believable!"
"I know." Alex cooed before she framed the blonde's face in her hands and kissed her senseless like it was her God given right.

"Are you coming back, later?" Alex asked as she walked Piper out.
"I don't know." Piper replied. "Do you want me to come back?"
Alex shrugged. "It's up to you." She pulled Piper towards her by the waist and kissed her lips. "But in case you do come back, I'll leave the key under the mat for you in the back."
Piper smiled. She doesn't even think Alex realizes how much she was letting her in.
And she liked that. A lot.
"Okay." She replied.
Alex let her go and opened the driver's seat of Piper's car. She ushered the blonde in and made sure she was settled in, ready to go.
"Bye, pretty girl."
Yep. That's sticking. And Piper loves it.
Piper smiled again. She placed another kiss against Alex's lips before she made the engine roar.
"Later, gorgeous."

Piper met Larry at Frankie and Johnnie's pizza joint off Santa Monica Bvld. She figured if she was going to tell him she cheated on him and break up with him at the same time, she might as well do it somewhere public.
That way, the urge to strangle her would subside compare to if they were in private.
"You look like shit." Piper blurted as she took her seat across Larry.
He did look like shit with a five o'clock shadow stubble and dark circles under his brown eyes. His hair was curled into this awful mess and he looked pissed.
"I've been calling you all weekend." Larry said.
"My phone was turned off." Piper told him.
She wasn't even gonna apologize because if she did, that would imply she was sorry about the weekend she had with Alex.
And to tell such a lie, she didn't know if she could forgive herself after.
"Where were you?" Larry fumed. "I made plans for us for your birthday, you completely blew them off. And all you tell me is that you turned your phone off?"
Piper licked her lips. She could lie and tell him she was out of town for business, she could tell him a bunch of different lies and he would believe her because she's that convincing and Larry can be a bit gullible sometimes.
But she remembered Alex. The things she made her feel in the past forty eight hours was more than she's ever felt in the last year that she's fucked Larry.
And then she thought, why wouldn't she tell the truth? What's there to lie about?
"Do you want the truth?" Piper asked.
Larry looked at her dumbfounded. "Well, goddamn it, Piper!" He said it as if it wasn't already obvious that he wanted the truth. "No. Lie to me."
"I could tell you I was in Tijuana this weekend on a business delivery and I got held up down there so I decided to make it a party," Piper smiled.
"Well did you?" Larry asked.
Piper shook her head. He really was an idiot. "No, Larry." She replied. "Truth is, I spent the weekend with someone else and it was the best two days of my life." She started blushing. "I had mind-blowing sex and I came so many times, I'd lost count by the end because I couldn't even think. My brain was all mush." She was smiling, laughing even and Larry sat at the other end of the table looking green and ready to explode.
"It was Mendez, wasn't it?" Larry fumed.
Piper laughed. No, she died laughing. Jesus Christ! She couldn't even believe there was a time when she thought she might pity fuck Mendez.
Hell, there was a time she might've even fucked the genitor at the school.
But then, she had Alex and she's pretty sure she's ruined.
"Hell no, it wasn't Mendez!" She replied.
Larry became somber and pale. He ran his fingers through his messy curls and shook his head. "You really cheated on me, Piper?" It was more of a reality that downed on him than a question.
Piper nodded. Maybe she was being too nonchalant or crude but this was her not having any regret.
Does it suck for Larry, yeah, maybe? But she wasn't going to sugar coat what she did or the fact that she enjoyed being with Alex.
"I wish I could say I was sorry. That I regretted it." She said honestly.
"Hm," Larry smirked. Nothing was funny. Just that he was a fool. "I didn't think you had it in you." He said.
"Neither did I." Piper said.
Then he did the dumbest thing Piper could've ever seen. Some people take a break up graceful but Larry apparently wasn't classified in the group of those people.
"Very well," He said. "Since we're being honest about our little side adventures, I'll have you know that I've been fucking my next door neighbor."
Piper burst out into a fit of laughter that had everyone at the local pizzeria staring at her with questioning raised eyebrows.
"You're fucking with me, right?" She asked.
Too bad it wasn't April fools because that would've really been something.
But Larry didn't understand why that was funny to Piper.
"You really are stupid." Piper said. "I mean, is that really supposed to hurt me?" She looked at Larry through hooded eyes and laugher started bubbling in her throat again. "You went from a ten to a three? Your fucking next door neighbor? I should slap you for being so degrading, but I'm just gonna get up and wish you good luck."
"You really are fucked up, you know that?" Larry said with raised eyebrows.
Piper chuckled. "I'd say you're perfect but then we both know that's horse shit..." She threw a twenty dollar bill on the table and pushed out of her chair. "Have a pizza on me and then we can call this a neutral break up, shall we?"
"Slut."
Piper left laughing. "You don't deserve an answer."

"So, I just broke up with Larry." Piper told the girls.
Poussey thrust a shot of vodka in her hand and she threw it back in seconds, wincing at the burn in her throat.
"No shit." Polly said.
"Yes, shit." Piper nodded.
"What happened?" Daya asked.
Piper shrugged. "He fucked his next door neighbor."
"That skeleton little whore?" Taystee asked.
Piper nodded.
"Oh hell no!" Taystee yelled. "Did you punch him in the neck?"
Piper laughed. "No." She replied.
She felt like she should tell the girls about Alex but the thing is, this was all so new, you know? Whatever it was. Her and Alex didn't really talk about it or put a name to it. What was supposed to be a one night thing turned into a fabulous uncomplicated weekend and for now it was just that.
Piper didn't feel like sharing Alex yet. For now, Alex was her little naughty secret and she planned to keep it that way for a bit no matter how much that breaks girl code.
"Are you okay, Pipe?" Polly asked as she stroked Piper's blonde hair.
Piper nodded. She was fine.
How long does it take to feel the effect of a break up? A day? Two? Hm, perhaps a week or two?
She didn't know but she felt nothing.
Not pain, not sadness, not anything.
She was totally fine.
"I'm fine." She smiled.
"Me and Mendez are dating." Daya blurted.
It went quiet.
"Is this stealing your thunder?" Daya asked. "It's been going on for weeks. He went into this rehab thing and I'd been helping him through it and we got close and things started happening and at first I thought I should say something but I didn't and I really kinda do like him a little bit and now I'm rambling and I can't shut the fuck up. Say something, damn it!"
"No shit?" Polly uttered.
"For fuck's sakes." Piper groaned.
"Mendez? Seriously?" Poussey raised her eyebrows. "But he's such an asshole."
"I'll pray for you." Taystee said.
Then they all laughed because that's what they do. This weekend is strange. Very strange.
But it was the beginning of something awesome. Piper could feel it.
"You guys suck." Daya said.
"You love us, you munch." Piper messed up her hair.
"Since you went AWOL on your birthday, do we celebrate right now?" Polly asked.
School's out. There was a shit tone of beer in the fridge and four bottles of tequila. And Chinese take outs was being delivered soon. Plus there's a freaking music player with speakers loud enough to blow one's ear drums.
"Hell yeah." Piper replied.
Though Piper did want to go back to Alex's and sneak up behind her and spoon with her, she felt that she needed to spend some time with her girls.
Things were changing for her. But one thing will always remain the same and it's her friendship with those girls.
No matter what.

Okay! This chapter came sooner than planned but I guess after the clusterfuck that was season 3, I more than needed to post this little tidbit for you guys. I finished season 3 and really, (like most people I'm sure,) I don't think I really want to talk about it for various reasons and one of them being that I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who haven't watched the whole season in its entirety. But however, for those of you who have finished and are in need to vent, feel free to PM me! I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter and leave your reviews to let me know what you thought. Until next time…
