A/N: OHH! UPDATE! Are you all excited? Its not a long chapter but I'm getting everything caught up. As I said before Bad wolf return of Gallifrey needs to be re-written. Thats going to take some time, but don't worry I will get it done. Its just a matter of making the story flow better and make sense. Cause the last few chapters... Yeah totally lost me, no flow between chapters. Well enjoy this update!

The night at the Tyler mansion went by quickly. Jege and Rose were of course the only ones up, reminiscing about the old academy days. Some of Roses exploits in certain classes brought Jege to tears he was laughing so hard.

"I really didn't mean to blow up his stupid tracker, it just had a faulty connection I noticed it and he refused to let me finish it. Really Jege the man was insane."

Jege took a deep breath and looked at her before raising his eyebrows.

"Honestly Rose, your lucky the council didn't do anything in retaliation, you blew up more then just his tracker. Your not even three hundred yet and your going senile."

Rose frowned and crossed her arms. It wasn't her fault half the building went with the tracker when it blew up. If the man had just gotten over his women are inferior complex and let her fix the thing, it wouldn't have happened to begin with.

Rose sighed again before leaning back against the couch. Jege was enjoying a jar of Marmalade.

"You know, maybe Gallifrey will show interest in bring this to the planet if I bring the council a ton of cases."

"Jege, I'm seriously starting to wonder if Marmalade is Time Lord crack. I mean the doctor had tons of it, your addicted and I'm pretty sure given the opportunity the entire planet of Gallifrey would turn into fat Marmalade eating maniacs."

Jege smiled and placed the jar back on the table. Rose did have a point and Jege decided to imagine them all high as hell on sugary Marmalade before busting out laughing.

"Could you just imagine all those old crones in the council high on sugar? It would be awesome, just think of all the work they could finally get done!"

Rose smiled, "Yeah Jege, just don't let them catch you saying that."

Jege nodded and closed his eyes for a moment. It would be different without Rose's wit once she returned to her home universe. He honestly had hopped that over the past two hundred years she would have let the Doctor go and come to him. He had on more than one occasion showed her his interest. The council even thought it was a good match, but the prophecy and tradition prevented them from interfering or saying anything. She was Rassilon's wife, the foretold bringer of peace throughout the multi-verse.

"So, Rose have you thought about what your going to do when you can finally leave here?"

Rose placed her tea back on the table and smiled at Jege. Of course he would ask her that question. Rose knew deep down that he cared for her and in all honesty if she had met him first she would have stayed with him. Her hearts however belong to the Doctor in a universe that would soon once again open its doors for her.

"I'm not sure. To tell you the truth Jege, I'm scare of what I will find when I return. The Doctor is old, so much older than my mere two hundred and ninety years. What if he has moved on? For right now I think I might explore a bit, have a few of my own adventures and just run into him when the universe says its time."

Jege nodded, of course Rose still retained that human insecurity. She was so much more intellegent that she gave herself credit for. She had surpassed everyone on Gallifrey in regards to the academy. It

was almost sad to know that she still refused to see her own self worth. She was strong without the Doctor. Maybe having her own adventures without the other Time Lord would finally prove that to her.

"Maybe the council will allow me to come with you on some of those adventures hum?"

Rose of course smiled at Jege and his ever protective nature.

"I would love that very much, as long as it doesn't interfere with your duties here. The rift is something I would hate to see go unattended. You as well as I both know that while humans are creative and have many abilities, battling what lies in the void would not only destroy this planet but their own lives."

Jege smiled and nodded before holding out his cup to her for more tea. Before Rose could voice the fact that he had two hands of his own more than capable of pouring his own tea her mother walked into the room.

"Mom, what are you doing up?"

Jackie smiled before warping her robe around herself and sitting down next to Rose on the couch.

"I heard you guys talking, I agree with your idea Rose."

Rose raised an eyebrow in question.

"Travel without the Doctor for a bit. I know you love him, but theres something I think Jege sees as much as I do. You are strong without him and you need to prove that to himself. You are not a follower Rose, you never have been. You need the opportunity to prove it to yourself though."

Rose looked at Jege and then reached over to hug her mother. Jackie patted her back before pulling away from the hug.

"Now, I've said my mind. Keep it quite in here, us lowly humans need to sleep now."

Rose laughed and nodded at her mother.

"We'll head out to the Tardis. I want to finish modifying my sonic anyway. Apparently there are settings in this universe that will come in very handy back in our universe."

Jackie nodded and walked over to Jege. Hugging him she leaned up to his ear.

"I know you love her, just don't get hurt with your mission to protect her and her hearts. She loves the Doctor sweetie, and nothing we can do will change that. They were both damaged and they both healed each other."

Pulling away Jege smiled at the older Tyler woman. So perceptive, but being Rose's mother he would expect nothing less.

"I know, thank you Jackie."

"Oi! Call me mom. You and Rose are house mates right? Back on Gallifrey?"

Jege nodded, "Ok, thanks mom. Wow, that just feels weird coming out. Never had a mom, looms and all."

Rose smiled sadly, it was the one thing she couldn't stand about Gallifrey. The looms and the lack of parents. They relied on each other in houses, the older ones guiding the younger ones until they looking into the vortex.

"Well, I'll see you in the morning love, I'm sure Pete's woken up and wondering where I've wondered off to."

"Rule number one mom, Don't wonder off."

Rose laughed at her mothers sour face before she turned to go back up stairs. Turning back towards Jege she smiled and stood to gather all of their stuff.

"She's right you know."

Rose sighed, "I know, thats why I suggested I might just wait until the universe feels we need to be brought together."

Jege nodded and stood as well to follow her out to the Tardis.

There it is! An update that all of you im sure have been begging for. Its not full of adventure yet, but we'll get there. I'm trying to readjust to the tone that this story was written in. I'm even changing the direction of it a little bit. :)
