The next day Joe and Sam are sleeping Joe wakes up, he sees Fred is gone. Joe goes out to the woods and sees Fred, he asks him when did he get up, he tells him he never went to sleep. Fred mentions that he got techno goggles to play a virtual reality game, then got a scuba suit to catch some fish, and got some high speed running shoes to pick up clothes he forgot, Joe tells him the book is not about having fun, he asks him if he wants to bet. Fred is bowling, he strikes with a mega club, Joe throws his bowling ball, but fails, he becomes upset, Fred and Sam wonder what's wrong, Joe tells them its either he's better at the book or he won't ever get it again. Thanos arrives. Joe tries to attack, but gets thrown, Sam tells Thanos to leave them alone, but he ignores him. Joe warns Fred but he tells him he's got it under control, Fred asks the book to summon something, but sees it needs to recharge, Thanos deactivates the book, he captures him, Joe and Sam run out of the bowling place.
