Joe and Sam find a motorcycle to catch up to the van Fred and Thanos are in, Joe tells Sam to punch a hole into the window, Sam punches the hole into the window and breaks it. Joe and Sam get into the van, Thanos tries to shoot Joe and Sam but they dodge, a beam hits Fred, he lets go of the book. Joe reaches out for the book, but Sam gets it instead, Joe becomes disappointed, Sam tells him he doesn't need a book to be a hero. Sam asks the book to give him a lava gun, he fires it at Thanos, the book starts to recharge. Fred, Joe, and Sam get out of the van, it crashes, they watch the explosion. Some stories can be retold differently and you may never know how it'll turn out, as the comic closes.
