Chapter Five: Harry's Christening
Sorry guys I changed chapter four.
Harry James Potter was now officially six months old and Lily smiled lovingly at her son as she finished filling up the bathtub with water and bubbles and placed Harry inside of it. Harry's face instantly lit up with excitement as he started splashing the water and giggling.
"You definitely love the water don't you Harry?" She questioned him while continuing to smile at him before Harry picked up his blue rubber ducky and started sucking on its tail. Harry started giggling once again as it let out a rather loud quack.
"You know Harry, tomorrow you're going to see your Uncle Sirius and he is going to officially become your godfather." Lily told him while starting to pour a cup full of water over the top of his head.
"That's right after the priest pours water over your head to say that you'll belong to Jesus forever and ever even though you're also going to be Mummy and Daddy's baby boy forever and ever." She told him while lathering her hands with shampoo and then started scrubbing his head before she started washing the rest of his body.

The next morning while Harry sat inside his highchair eating breakfast with both of his parents the doorbell suddenly rang. "I'll get it!" Lily exclaimed before she got up from her chair and answered the door and smiled when she saw her husband's best friend on the other side of it.
"Ah Sirius, what a pleasant surprise." She said while smiling warmly over at him.
"Some surprise, you knew that I was coming for Harry's Christening. Speaking of Harry, where is he? All I see is a baby over there that's way too big to be Harry." He said as Lily giggled.
"Sirius, you know very well that that's your future godson." She said as she allowed him entrance inside the cottage while Fluffy quickly ran and hid underneath the bed and Harry continued eating his Cheerios with his fingers.
"I know, I just wish that more of our friends and family could attend but I understand why they can't." He said and as he went to sit down and eat with everybody else Lily shut the door behind him.
….
"Lily and James Potter, do you promise to love and protect this child and train him up to know the Lord?" The minister questioned them.
"Yes, we do." James replied.
"Do you promise to teach him right from wrong and make sure that he'll know what it means to know Jesus Christ as His personal Savior?" The minister asked them.
"We do." Lily responded.
"Sirius Black, as Harry Potter's godfather do you promise to give him the extra guidance that he'll need to keep on the path of righteousness?" The minister inquired.
"Yes, I do." He replied before the minister took a bit of water out of the bowl and then sprinkled it onto Harry's forehead.
"Well in that case Harry James Potter, I now baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen." He recited while Harry just simply glanced up at him and Lily smiled down at the baby inside her arms before exchanging smiles with James and Sirius.
Here's a quick note. I apologize if the Christening vows are a little off but I don't really know them all that well and I had to watch a video on YouTube to refresh my memory lol
